I play it. It's basically a better Hearthstone. Sadly the devs seem to be a bit shitty at balancing.

But then that's no different from HS I guess.

Entire archetypes or game mechanics keep changing months after official release

Rarity is completely fucked and close to 1/4 of every cards are legendaries

Some factions are just complete shit on their own and just held together by a couple of grossly overpowered cards

That's true, monthly balance changes and new cards are nice. It just seems that even a pleb like me can see that a card like Taygete or Nimbus are too powerful. And Makantor Warbeast is still bullshit, I climb to Platinum every month just with rushdown Magmar.

Tried a few matches. The units looks cool but they're all so busy and overdesigned they just look bland after awhile. Also can't tell what the fuck is what when the board is full

What is Nimbus?

I like the daily lethal puzzle challenge, wish other card games did that. Also very friendly to F2Pers with high drop rates and easy gold earning.

If you havent noticed they stopped monthly balance changes since release, at least they said they did, there were still two balances patches but one of them was because they wanted to change mechanics for shimzar

They have slowed down changes yes, but they seem to be trying to add more options with the monthly new cards (eg Skorn is a great anti-swarm option). I'd be surprised if they didn't keep adjusting existing OP cards every month or two. Probably Meld or Tusk Boar is next.

Last time I played Vet was pretty shitty, but Blast was fun as heck if you could place it on a dervish with Third Wish.

The RNG in the game is shit. Like the actual RNG algorithm it's self. If I use a specific deck I have, I'll 9 times out of 10 draw the same fucking hand at the start of every game (and it's usually a shit hand). Even repicking 2 cards usually results in me getting the same 2 cards.

Also the balance is shit. Some of the orange rarity cards shouldn't be allowed to exist.

Rush minions are always on the knife edge between useless and OP. Songhai has too many tools to combo with it, they will either nerf it or nerf meld. Then the cycle will repeat next time they release a low cost buff.

I'm a Magmar/Lyonar main actually. Makantor is stupid because I can use it to damage generals through Provoke and ignore all but the most defensive positioning advantages. I have more fun when the board matters.

Rush is just a bad mechanic in a game without active defense, but since Duelyst devs are retards they didn't realize it before Hearthstone devs openly started saying so, and since they copy every mechanic hearthstone comes up with they'll probably remove rush on some cards down the line

The chance of drawing an initial hand is like 1 in a billion, but I draw the almost exact same hand almost every game. It's fucking annoying.
