ITT: Games you remembered being good, but upon revisiting, are bad

...

This is wrong and you should feel bad for shitposting.

It's average at worst.

I remembered the english dub being good, besides Theo. Then I went back and it was worse than expected.

ITT: Weeb games with zero replay-ability factor.

...

All the YuGiOh videogames.

Also every Sonic game except adventure 1. Adventure 2 is a special breed of shit because Knuckles and Tails missions. Sonic Battle is still fun though.

...

...

I actually started playing the second one a while ago while waiting for AA6 and even in it the gameplay is pretty average. I miss being able to freely move characters around. At least the characters are fun enough once you turn off the voice acting. And apparently you can fuck the semen demon witch instead of the generic main girl witch.

>Except Adventure 1.
Can't tell if underage or shitposting.

I bought this when it first came out and my friends and I loved it. We were really into Yu Yu Hakusho.

A few years ago I saw it at Gamestop and bought it again for nostalgia. What a shitty game. I can't believe I liked it before.
The only good thing about it was it was Yu Yu Hakusho. The characters were still cool, it was cool that it had the anime voice actors, and stuff like that. The actual gameplay was terrible. I really don't get how we thought it was good back when it came out.

>doesn't like Adventure 1

Game is pretty fun faggot.

I remember my mom first bought me this at Kmart. Played it, then got stuck for a while then got past it. Then I got stuck some place else and never finished it.

Doesn't really hold up today, though.

Yeah, you can. That tradition holds true in the "sequel" (Stella Glow) too.

>Placing Adventure 1 above games that aren't shoddy pieces of shit, like Sonic 3 & Knuckles.
So a shitposter.
Got it.

...

>implying the Genesis sonics are good games

They aren't good at all, I'll never understand why people still pretend to like them. They have aged like milk.

...

>Talks shit about some of the best 2D platformers on a console.
>While praising a game that couldn't even get its audio mixing right.

How many (You)s do you fucking need?

Meanwhile, Zatch Bell's fighting games are fucking awesome.

Once I get out of Midgar, I cannot play anymore.

>All the YuGiOh videogames
Jesus Christ, I hated the GBA ones so much, cheating cunts of games.
>Oh I'll scan in my deck and see how I'd fare against the cartoon pros
>You require 999999999999credits to use this deck
>Oh okay lets just grind against someone easy like Mai
And that is the story of how I lost my anal virginity

>2010
These graphics are great.
This landscape is gorgeous!
These horse controls are perfect!
The shooting is excellent!
Whoa what a story!
>2016
These graphics are stiff and ugly.
This map is smaller than I remember.
Come on, horse. Stop being an idiot.
I was aiming RIGHT. AT. HIM.
Jesus Christ, was this story was written by ideological high school students?
>2010 rating
9/10
>2016 rating
6/10

This game is the ultimate example of "Great Concept, Terrible Execution"

it sucks growing up user I feel the same way.

>some of the best 2D platformers on a console

They're mediocre games. Only reason people like them is because the Genesis didn't have much else to play.

This
I remember having loved it when it came out
In fact I forgot the name of it recently and I went through a lot of work just to remember the name of this piece of shit
Having finally found it I realized it was actually pretty bad

The world ends with you

Sonic DX and Sonic A2B are still fun

Thought it was pretty good when I was 15 and didn't know it was a remake.

Here is is, yet another (You) on the endless train of (You)s.

Clearly, it's just that nobody had anything better to play. THAT'S why those games keep selling every time they get ported to a new console or mobile device. THAT'S why the new 2D game is getting more hype than the upcoming 3D game. EVERY Sonic game is shit except the transitional game full of glitches, bugs, and an extreme lack of polish. All of them.

Most Final Fantasy games.
Also this game

There were a lot of them, although this one stands out in my memory. I guess all the wacky situations worked best when you didn't know what was going to happen. Replaying it, I found the playthrough very dull with extended stretches of nothing happening in between some fun story bits.
