Do you have any friends to play video games with?
Do you have any friends to play video games with?
Why user do you want one?
No
Name a game user, lets meet up
Haha no.
No, thank God my little brother has the same tastes as me
Yes
No
Yes, but I'm one of those faggots who is rather commonly in the mood for playing with randoms online, so I don't tend to play with them too often. No, I don't know why I sometimes prefer randoms either.
i play with my gf and she's a fucking CASUAL
the only other friend i used to play vidya with has a degenerative muscle condition that affects his hands and he can no longer user m+kb and can only use controllers for a short time
used to have online friends but the games we played together went to shit. thanks payday. thanks killing floor 2. thanks warframe.
No. I've been playing Mercy/Lucio in Overwatch almost exclusively in an effort to make friends, but so far it hasn't worked. Getting commendations/compliments on my skills has been pretty great, though. Huge boost to my self-confidence.
Yeah but we rarely play.
not really, we tend to get disinterested in a game before we really get anywhere with it
I prefer to play alone.
In theory, but it's usually an hour of discussing what co-op game we'd like to play, staring listlessly at our steam libraries.
Then if we pick something, we might play for a minute before someone else comes online that we "have" to invite. But now we have too many players for the game we were playing, and need to find a different multiplayer game to incorporate them. This'll result in more despair from staring at steam libraries, followed by the inevitable "Why not play a match of Dota?"
After 1-3 miserably failed matches, it's finally time to go to bed and dream of a world that would just simply end.
Only on holidays then when they go back to university I spend most of my time getting depressed.
>real life friends/family all grew out of vidya
>half my old guildmates grew out of vidya and the other half are still addicted to MMOs
>decent female internet friend has mental issues are randomly disappears for days or weeks at a time
>other internet friend is in the all games are shit phase and will soon be in the grown out of gaming club
I made friends in XIV
Technically, but I'm like the 1 person around who plays totally different shit than them.
Not really.
Yeah on fucking Xbox, I occasionally lower myself to peasant level to enjoy their company. But on PC I don't socialize at all.
Yep. I actually have a pretty large group of friends but a little less than half actually play vidya anymore. Some are just busy with marriage, kids, etc. now.
We usually have fight nights a few times a month but I'm that autistic asshole that stomps everyone. Pretty much just sit on the sidelines and act as a final boss.
>have friend who loves halo
>I download 5 Forge for PC
>get nostalgic for all the times we used to play when we were younger
>tell him to download PC Forge so we can build shit and fuck around
>"I already have it on Xbox"
THAT ISNT THE POINT!
i always say "yes" when people ask me to play with them, but apparently im not relevant when i ask if they want to play with me.
so, i guess i dont have any.
I'm in the same situation, except I don't bother asking since they made it clear that I'm just a nobody to them.
People that talk like this make me sick. I can smell a sad sack for miles. Maybe if you didn't act like a bitch people wouldn't treat you like one.
i know, i have changed, i get invited to stuff again and have a great time with others.
some things just dont get forgotten that easily though, i guess they just need some time.
sorry for the blog btw.
All of my online friends kinda faded away after neopets and deviantart stopped being popular and I haven't found a good online community since then.
I play with a bunch of guys from a failed youtube channel that spawned from Sup Forums
What channel?
I haven't played vidya with a friend since last year. Now I just go into co-op games with randoms hoping to make more friends but so far I haven't made a single one. Maybe I should use a mic rather than just type.
You don't want to know
Only my gf, none of my coworkers play video games.
Nah. I had a group of friends around last year, but they slowly stopped inviting me to things and I decided that I didn't want to be that friend they kept around out of pity.
Since I work from home, I have yet to meet any new people face-to-face. Maybe I should get a second job.
I did
How do I go to social events and talk to people and make friends? I've tried it before and it all seems so fake and forced. I feel like I'm not a real person.
Do I "just be yourself"?
>I decided that I didn't want to be that friend they kept around out of pity.
God, I need to do that. I don't know why I let myself end up in that position for so long.
It will suck at first, but you will feel a lot better about yourself in the long run. No company really can be better than company at times.
Don't be yourself. Because then you'll stand at the doorway calling everyone that walks in a cuck.
I did that and it still sucks.
Don't just be yourself, be the best version of yourself. Know your faults and fix them.
Nope. Don't have friends in general.
But hey, I prefer single-player anyway.
my friends aren't autistic enough to stay dedicated to one mmo for extended periods of time like I am, they always want to hop to a different one
so here i am silently grinding alone like an autist
Yeah, but I never get to play with them much anyway because we all work rather different shifts.
Adult life is suffering.
no
I never managed to make friends in FFXIV....
I dont think its about "being yourself", its about getting good at your "character" so its not so draining when you do it.
No
My IRL friends only play Blizzard games and such and I've never managed to make any friends Online myself because I'm socially retarded over the Internet.
I do wish I sometimes could make some friends and play some games with.
No.
>making friends in an MMO
I don't understand how people do this. in every experience I've had with other people in an MMO it never goes further than small talk
You don't want to know.
Yeah one.
And I'm just fine with that. But they have an anger problem, they get so mad they uninstall games.
Despite it all I've stuck with them, but god damn doe sit piss me off when we can't play a game ebcause they had a few bad games.
If you have an ass, I'll kick it
Sure do. You make a lot of friends in college!
oh yeah? And who do you rule, the large-dark-nipple people?
Quite a few, but they only play Dota 2 or CSGO.
I've made a conscious decision to back away from them in order not to limit myself to only one game.
It's a shame though. I'm really into coop gameplay but they won't play anything else even if gifted the games.
When randoms are shit there's nothing you can do about it. When your friends are shit there's always hope that one day they'll fucking improve.
That'd how it is for me at least.
I play video games with my cousin and my girlfriend.
>tfw he loves fighting games like Third Strike, simulators, Timesplitters, and all sorts of other games
>tfw my girlfriend loves Mario Kart and puzzle games
>Cuck detected
Give my regards to your cousin for me.
i'm lonely but when I have people over I want them to leave
I joined a pretty big FC with 60-80 people on during primetime and partake in some of the banter with people, and do events with them, after a while you'll get to know people. I've also joined and set up nidhogg ex parties, and added some of the people that stay, going through a fight together for hours with the same people gives you a sort of bond, you aren't the pansies that left after a few wipes, so you go and invite them again and keep progressing.
If I see a group of people just sitting around I'll go over and sit next to them or wave while waiting for whatever. Sometimes they'll start talking and you or they'll just give emotes, and sometimes they're just afk. There's no reason to be shy with friend requests though, if you have any fun with someone then send em one, then you can easily see who's who and say hello whenever you bump into eachother again.
I used to, but he stopped playing when he went to law school. Now he's missed out on the last 10 years of games except for Call of Duty sequels. It's a shame, he was damn good, too.
No one has ever liked me or been able to tolerate me for more than a few moments at a time. I haven't been able to figure out why but I've honestly decided not to subject anyone else to the poison that is my company.
I have two online friends but that's about it.
Language has no way of expressing the way that I know this feel
Thanks for triggering me, asshole
I used to be pretty active socially on steam but I haven't talked to 90% of my friend list in over a year and the ones I do talk to I never actually play games with
So no
Does any one want to play Verdun?
Add me on Steam: Prize Bot
Why is it so hard to make friends over the Internet Sup Forums?
I just want to have one or two comfy friends I can play with.
The internet in the college dorms sucks too badly to play the vidya, but if you wanna talk and have swell conversations I'm up for that
Sucks to be you, bro.
come at me brother
What's the point of having such fast internet? Really there's no reason at all to have that unless you actually handle servers and shit.
