Hyper Dimension on the SNES will always remain a favorite of mine. The spritework is something to behold and the fighting engine is rather unique for a SNES game.

Yes, it's MUGEN. Basically anyone can make any fighter they want, whether it be characters from dbz, powerpuff girls, you name it, any character can be made and can be usuable to fight.

Japan and PAL, although I can't recall what language the PAL version is. There are Fan-Translated versions out there so if you got a Flashcart, you're set. Besides there isn't that much text.

MUGEN is ass. It's a horrid pain to setup and the characters that people make are all super overpowered. Do yourself a favor and just watch SaltyBet to get an idea.

You never played at release then. You could literally be 10 meters up or down from it and it would still cap you in the legs/head and insta-kill you. You had to do this awkward teleport jump every time to dodge it.

I stopped playing a while ago, but besides death ball, and super electric strike, I remember Hellzone grenade, hyper or super drain, whichever drained your stamina, and super ghost kamikaze attack being annoying. Did they ever get around to nerfing those?
