WAY too grindy, but otherwise really fun, considering the fact that every attack animation took close to 30 seconds to complete. Still building up your digi-beetle and your team of mons was entertaining.
yeah, nobody else played a fucking digimon game.
Could really use a remake. Game was fun but was impossible to really get anywhere in because it was so autistically grind-orientated.
Yo shit my man I used to play that game all the time when I kid. Preferred it to World 1 at the time since I was too fucking dumb. World 2's speed issues can be fixed by disabling the framelimit in an emulator. It's what I do when I'm grinding.
It's such a fucking good jrpg too. Final Fantasy wishes its approach to atb was this innovative and ballsy.
Shame about it being furshit.
played and bet the first 3 on the ps1 back in the day when the ps1 and modchip was king.
sjit was fun but way too slow, 2>1>3 is how id order them and even though 3 is at the bottem its still a good digimon rpg
idk why digimon games didnt kick off like pokemon? its objectivly better, i guess it has to do with your digimon dyingg all the time?
Probably because Pokemon just had the right formula done the very first time and got the hype train to carry them forever. Pokemon haven't evolved since the original. At least Digimon games try tons of different shit.
Pokemon had gameboy, Digimon had keychains.
Loved this game. But holy shit the Prima guide was full of fucking typos, including wrong information in the digivolution section.
I've beaten it twice, I think, but I never went full autismo to catch Kimeramon.
I gotta say though, the OST for this game is fucking OUTSTANDING. I have a good chunk of it to listen to while I'm out of the house or doing something mundane in my apartment.
A friend of mine caught Kimeramon, don't do it man, it destroyed him for a month.
Despite being slow as fuck, it is still one of the coolest rougelite games ever made, and the best Digimon game for sure, just barely above Cyber Sleuth.
I thought Kimeramon you can only get through some japanese exclusive toy or accessory or whatever? I think your friend is full of shit or cheated
The music in this game is god-tier
>nobody on Sup Forums has played
I can't help myself. The game is incredible unoptimized (32 bit only, chugs on some DLC with FPS in the mid 10-20s on an i7 with 980 SLI and 32 GB RAM), ugly as sin and the most jew-ish in terms of DLC...but I have 200+ hours in it.
I've saved the world at least three hundred times, slayed nazis/zombies/towelheads in the thousands...but the art and finesse of managing a commuter train in a blizzard sticks in my memories more than it probably should.

If only it had a little more variety before File Island, then it'd be GOAT.

>First boss theme
>Regular boss theme
>Guardian theme
All amazing battle music.

Absolutely fantastic. They just don't make stellar atmospheric music like this anymore.
There's been a rumor floating around for a long time that you have a tiny chance of finding Khimeramon on the last few floors of Tera Domain, but his appearance is determined when you first enter the dungeon. It sounds like That Kid shit so it's safe to assume that it's only accessible through cheats.
>level caps in a JRPG
I had like 50 hours in before I stopped. I might pick it up again though.
