>DOOM-CPY Crack comes out a week ago
>nobody even bothered to pirate it
Whoa, it's almost like DRM doesn't work.
>DOOM-CPY Crack comes out a week ago
>nobody even bothered to pirate it
Whoa, it's almost like DRM doesn't work.
I pirated it
I like it
More like people can't be bothered to download 60 gigs for just a 10 hours single player campaign.
It's because you're looking at a shit tracker. I'm seeding it elsewhere and it's going fast.
>62.3 gb
what the fuck
DRM does the exact opposite thing it's supposed to. While retarded publishers may think "if nobody can pirate our game, they'll buy it instead!", the reality is that you just instantly lose 30% of your players. And that's just day one pirates.
When you lose that huge an audience, the hype and buzz around your game, which is usually created by NEETs who pirate with lots of free time to chat about how much they liked your game, dissipates instantly.
So while you might get 2 more sales from pirates who don't want to wait, you lose tens of thousands of sales from people who wait for first reactions, of which there are none, because you stopped anyone who could give an opinion from playing.
This has a knock-on effect, nobody talked about your last game thanks to DRM, so the hype for your next title will be markedly lower.
The mistake companies are making is that they think people are still paying day one prices. There's so much entertainment out there now, that people are completely comfortable waiting a year or two for a sale.
At first its good, but when you replay it you notice its average at best. Biggest problems is the lockdown, not enough enemies and horrid gunplay.
It's 62gb, jesus christ gta 5 with all online updates is 66.
>Horrid gunplay
>DOOM 4
Are you sure you played the right game?
Yes, twice through.
>nobody even bothered pirating it
righty-o, pubscrub
>hurr game sucks!
>played it twice though
TORtanic really ruined Sup Forums
...
>pirate bay
>359 seeders
>983 leechers
>whatever the fuck site that is
>1689 seeders
>133 leechers
god damn
holy shit dude are you a hacker? how did you get into a private gaming tracker? HOLY FUCK DUDE!!!
So because i dont like the game tortanic ruined Sup Forums? Sort yourself out user .
I pirated it and am immensely enjoying it.
What's the matter? That's like 5 hours even on my shitty 3rd world internet connection.
Seeding it right now for you suckers.
I liked the game.
So because i dont like the game tortanic ruined Sup Forums? Sort yourself out user . Not everyone has abysmal taste like yourself
How many times do you need to go through a campaign before you're allowed to dislike a game?
>private gaming tracker
thats a general tracker
>you can't talk shit about a game unless you've played it!
>you can't say a game is bad because you've played it through!
Pick one.
i pick BOTH
>60gb

I think the best way to prevent your game being pirated is make your game size extreme big
Even unreal tornament 3 handles better/ has better shooting mechanics than doom4.
Piratefag opinions are the funniest on all of Sup Forums.
Why would filesize be a problem for pirating? It literally takes the same effort as pirating a 5MB game.
Unless you live in a third world country with bandwidth caps.
But this proves it does work. The people who wanted to play it bought it, and so have no reason to download the crack.
Denuvo is saving PC gaming, and you just proved it.
The power of idtech. Truly Carmacks greatest achievement.
Whoa, its almost like it took literal months for the game to be cracked, long enough for it to fall out of the public's mind and therefore avoid major piracy.
They don't want you pirating the game because you'd otherwise buy it you retards. They just don't want you pirating the game full stop.
I think this time Denuvo hit the sweet spot of protecting the launch window of Doom. Downloads seem alright to me. I just hope stuff like COD doesn't get Denuvo. It usually helps me kill a weekend, but the series has never been worth a purchase after MW2.
>tfw scared of pirating games after the bitcoin miner scare
>DOOM-CPY Crack comes out a week ago
>I hadn't even heard of that
>this thread has now informed me of it
>I'm not gonna pirate it anyway because I don't give a fuck at this point
No Mans Sky had 0 DRM, was easily available to pirate within hours, yet didn't stop 200k people from buying it for $60 on Steam retard.
What site is this?
It's not that. I'm autistic and have to keep all games I pirate.
I have 3 external hard drives that I keep them on. 2 are 500gb and 1 is 100gb. That gives me 1.1tb of space. That seems like a lot, but it really isn't. Yes I could just get bigger externals or more but I don't really need to right now.
Justifying taking up 62gb of space for a game that is effectively a generic fps, I can't do that.
I'd rather just buy it when it goes less than $10.
by your logic then, once it falls out of the public mind nobody is going to buy it anyway.
your logic is trash, buyfags are truly retarded
So what public tracker do people use instead of kickass now?
I got private trackers for everything I need but I'm just curious since I don't think people would've gone pack to tpb
>The people who wanted to play it bought it
The same people who always buy shit bought it.
If all the people who wanted to pirate it on launch had actually bought it then it would have sold an obscene number of copies, which it didn't.
TPB
