Can barely play Deus Ex: Mankind Divided

>can barely play Deus Ex: Mankind Divided

Who else is STILL stung by 3.5gbs?

I will never buy anything AMD, but I fucking hope that Nvidia learned their lesson about lying.

Hahaha

It was a great card, had mine from October 2014 until July 2016, replaced it with a 1080.

Go upgrade to a 1060 3gb version.

>I will never fuck another woman, but I hope my wife has learned her lesson about cheating.

This is what you sound like.

I think you are full of shit, that or you have some fucking shitty cpu/ram

youtu.be/HWzLYFpXcLY

>nvidia
>learned their lesson
Good one.

Just join the class action lawsuit and get 30 bucks back.

Also

>My 960 actually has 4GB of vram
>970 doesn't

ayy lmao

>970 Ultra settings
>it's barely high

Your 960 is a piece of shit though.

>graphics cards only last 2 years

This is really fucking stupid

Not really, that's what you do when you want to play on max settings.
I'm sure the 970 would otherwise serve me quite well for another year or two.

>but I fucking hope that Nvidia learned their lesson about lying.
Gee I dont know user you tell me
>Got a slap in the wrist for knowingly fucking their loyal consumers

Some of us, not all, are ENTHUSIASTS with MONEY who can upgrade every two years.

Stay mad poorfag lmao

>waaaah my previous gen card doesn't run the game at 60fps with all the useless resource hog settings maxed out
Then fucking shell out the money and get the latest and greatest so you can run optional settings that are specifically made to make sure retards like OP waste their money.

Repeat in 2-3 years when the exact same thing happens with your 1070.

Confirmed bait, move along Sup Forums

people upgrade graphics cards when they don't really need too. I was still on my 660 until I wanted to make the jump to 144hz a few months ago.

Did you drop it down to 720p?

My gtx 970 gets 60fps playing Deus ex mankind with high settings idk how people are getting low fps

Says the 3.5 faggot.

At least it can run Mankind divided lol.

>i'm the arbiter of who needs to upgrade and who doesn't

I can afford any card, but my point still stands. The fact that it only lasts a meager 2 years is really lame.

On medium.

>tfw R9 390
>tfw 8GB vram
Feels good man

This is the way video card generations roll. Graphics don't improve but requirements skyrocket each year.

PC games have various settings for a reason. Its not necessary to have every setting maxed for every single game to have an enjoyable experience.

Would you rather be limited to a console with static settings?

>I will never buy anything AMD
That´s how you enable them

its more like 3 years and that's how its always been.

My 970 is still great. Getting $30 from the settlement too so it only cost me $220 2 years ago.

You should've gotten the full refund and a written apology letter
>There are PEOPLE out there that think that is lunacy

doesnt matter with half the bus width

>tfw GTX 580 still works fine

I think it's time to upgrade.
Farewell, my loyal 560 Ti
I think I'll buy a 1060

>I will never buy anything AMD
Fuck off shill faggot retard. Nvidia can fuck you up the but all day long for all I care

>Zen is February 2017
>Vega is Q2 2017
No wonder the AMDfriend lashes out.

Can't wait for Zen+.

AMD Wait™

>A short killed my AM3 motherboard
>Stuck waiting while the cpu sector goes through the first meaningful change in several years
It's not so bad. Probably won't get anything until 7nm nodes are well into use and have had their issues ironed out.

>Probably won't get anything until 7nm nodes
So 2022.

Why? I got a steal on a great card.

Yep.
See you guys then. ;^)

>People still not realizing PC gaming

Almost all hardware has 3 years of optimized performance, then its back to buying new stuff if you want to play the latest games.

kill yourself with your bullshit

He's mostly right though.

what are you saying OP ?

sorry I cant hear you over the 3.8gb of vram used by my 970 in several games with over 60fps and no stuttering.

I'm forced to agree.

damn I've never seen 4gb usage on mine tho

the 2 games that use the most for me are GTA5 with DSR and the new Deus ex

250$ budget for a new card

just get a 970 or go AMD?

>HE BUYS BUDGET CARDS FROM JEWVIDEA

1060 or 480, your choice.

>Consoles last less than three years

This is also stupid. It's funny how we went from 10 years with 360/Ps3 to 3 years with Ps4 and Bone.

>>graphics cards only last 2 years
Not if you buy AMD.

Buy AMD they have the best perfromance/dollar at that price range

>Nvidia learned their lesson about lying
You're the reason why they won't.

What other options are there though?
Unless you want 2014 lower high-end performance, you have no choice but to go with Nvidia.

>I fucking hope that Nvidia learned their lesson about lying.
You mean that they can do it with absolutely no consequences?

why not get the 1070?

Wait until black friday at least. Maybe they'll announce vega too.

But you still kept the 970, despite the 390 being even in dx11 and much better at dx12.

>tfw can play KF2 and subnautica
console gayming is a meme

I didn't, I sold it two months ago and got myself a 1080.
Also the 390 came out 9 months after the 970, with double the powerdraw and didn't get to stretch it's legs until very late 2015/early 2016.
From October 2014 to July 2015 AMD had exactly nothing to compete with in the 300$+ price range - 290x was about the same perf as the 970, initially much more expensive (only slightly more after the pricedrop), less OC headroom, worse temps and noise, worse driver support.
Ironically that is basically the same situation we have now.

>buys 3.5g
>I hope Nvidia learned them lessons

You need to learn som lessons it seems

Tri-X 290 was more powerful than 970 in pretty much any game that wasn't touched by Nvidia Gameworks. It had no noise either unlike plenty of 970s that had coil whine and the temps were hardly an issue (never broke above 64C in intense games). 970's only real advantage was consuming less electricity at peak load but the difference on your power bill per year is a few dollars at best
