Nah. Sonic Team in general is just very appreciative of their fans and have a great chemistry with them despite their hard headedness at times.

Sonic was never great. They were alright, good, but even the games hailed as the best in the franchise can't hold a candle to stuff like SMW, Yoshi's Island, DKC 2 and so on.

Recent Sonic PR is the only good thing about that series
