>GTA IV came out 8 years ago
How does this honestly make you feel?
GTA IV came out 8 years ago
Other urls found in this thread:
I don't really give a shit since it's still fresh in my mind and there were better GTAs that came before it. Good selection of music though.
Not that bothered m8
it was shit
don't care, it was the worst GTA
>that framrerate / motion blur
It makes me feel like an 8 year old game is still better than a 3 year old game.
>GTA V came out 3 years ago
wake me up
>time never stopped when gta 4 came out
whoa...... really makes me think
>there's still no computer in the world that can run it at an acceptable (120 or higher) frame rate
>30fps
>cant fucking see ANYTHING through the blur
>no actualy gameplay
why do people think this is impressive
That originally was a gif before Sup Forums adopted webm support
Gif only play in 45fps
It's 45fps because it was converted from a gif
I have never undertood these "x came out x years ago" how is it supposed to make you feel?
I feel nothing.
holyshit gertsmann gate.
a friend was over here last week and saw i had it installed and asked if he could play it and was blown by how shit it looks
It's supposed to make you feel old. Progress slowed so much, that you feel like nothing have changed, but it's been 8 years already. Back in the day there was a new revolution every 2-3 years, which felt like a grand adventure. Today it's so stale, the time is just slipping away.
>guys what do we do to make nice graphics
>soft light on everything shadows are too hard
you sound jaded
Should I buy a crown vic for racing?
Sorry, I'm faded
I'M OLD
I played GTA3 when i was a kid
At this rate i will play GTA 6 when i'm married
4 is shit
take off your nostalgia goggles
there's no way that was made from a gif
feel like going bowling desu
This game was a major disappointment.
>Rockstar hasn't made a good (GTA) game in 12 years
Really makes you think, huh.
it's compressed into a 3mb webm you stupid fuck.
I played GTA 3 as a kid as well, and I'm only 21 now.
chinatown wars was 7 years ago
It has shadows, so you're retarded.
How? I recently started replaying 4 on PS3 and it still lives up to it. 5 doesn't know if it wants to be serious or fun/ sarcastic/ parody.
You can readily convert gif to webm
The framerate is because it's from a 4 year old youtube video, as in before 60fps existed on youtube + you had to use fraps which butchers your framerate (or buy a capture card), no shadowplay.
Nothing much.
>3 years
>feel like it came out yesterday
it's called becoming an adult and not being impressed by children's toys anymore.
Wrong, it's called consoles.
Still the best GTA.
if consoles are holding you back then where are all the revolutionary PC exclusives? why are they all dumb indie games?
GTA IV had a better story than V. It felt like classic GTA and something new at the same time. GTA V's story was shit. Took me less than a week to beat V and the ending was weak.
GTA V's online is pretty fun though.
Because Sony and MS offer large companies incentives to stick to the path of console parity. Any game that gets big enough and starts showing potential, Sony/MS come knocking with money bags.
sounds like a cop out to me, if the PC userbase was large enough to support a big exclusive then someone would make it.
>this coming from a faggot that probably thinks VC is the best GTA game
Ironic.
It is large enough, but why would a money driven company settle for just it?
to set a precedent.
>Try and pull off any maneuver I mastered in GTA IV while playing V
>The arcade gameplay won't let me
>I will never again spin the vehicle around on the highway 180 degrees at full speed with some clever brake work and unload a submachine gun into an entire convoy of cops before spinning back into the proper direction and speed away
>I will never pop curbs like I popped before
>I will never properly power slide around a corner
>I will never have fun intentionally fish-tailing down the sidewalk and taking out a dozen people
GTA V is so bad.
They don't care to.
they don't care to establish a new era of gaming and watch everybody else scramble to play catch up? of course they do. the reason they don't is because PC users are snakes and 30% of the userbase is going to steal their masterpiece.
>CEO: I'm going to make a game, should I focus on maximizing profits or... should I set a PRECEDENT? Tough choice.
You have the mind of a child, friend.
if someone doesn't set a precedent soon, profits are going to slowly deteriorate. and the precedent is going to come from a console developer because the PC market is stagnant.
yeah, but the quality doesn't magically improve when you do
It's been 10 years since Crysis 1 and not a single game has made such a big leap since then. Profits aren't deteriorating. Normies aren't aware of the stagnation and they buy garbage in droves.
the wii taught a valuable lesson about normies, that they will abandon gaming the very moment they feel unsatisfied. they are well aware of what they want and expect to be impressed, whereas long timers are the ones who tend not to mind stagnation. who are also the ones who know exactly what to do to minimize costs.
But normies do get impressed. They get impressed by trash. Which is exactly why the industry continues to thrive without any real advancements.
upboated
>nostalgia of gta 4
How old is this faggot
>can't be nostalgic about a game that is almost a decade old
To be honest, graphics isn't whats bothering people, we finally got an improvement in 2015, after years of blurry garbage. It's gameplay that matters, and this one will never be fixed with console designs, even if you shove Titan X into the new Xbox. Controller is inferior to keyboard and mouse, so for as long as devs stick with consoles being the primary platform, games will be getting dumber and dumber.
no they get impressed by innovation. critics of innovation are always long time, loyal consumers who fell in love with a certain game 20 years ago and want to see the same thing come out with better graphics over, and over, and over. call of duty for example was innovative, it combined shooters and RPGs in a way no one had seen before. and the normies ate it up. and now, they are slowly leaving it behind.
If you think graphics was the only leap Crysis made, you don't know much about it.
Just because you watched Crowbcat's video doesn't make you smart.
Someone post sauce to full video or how to make it look that fucking good. Replaying it atm with some icenchancer slapped on it but looks like shit
too bad it couldn't get 60fps on any period correct video card let alone only a handful of new ones.
>tfw it's programmed for single thread so my OC duocore runs it well
60fps only matters in fighting games, racing games or twitch shooters.
Makes me feel sad that I don't get hyped for vidya as much as I used to back then
It isn't, 4 was the worst GTA.
It's one game I would LOVE to see get a remaster. Spruce up the textures and models, add first person mode etc. The atmosphere is second to none.
Vice City is objectively the best GTA
VC > SA > IV > 3 > V
Don't make me post that vid, kid.
>B-BUT MUH TECHNOLOGY
IV had garbage gameplay.
How do you want your remaster senapi?
fucking stupid horseposters
Prove it.
Not him but driving and shooting in V are superior.
I like IV more as a whole though
Not him but how so? They have no weight to them and the physics are dumbed down.
It's still my favourite gta, complain all you want about the dumb story but the city and driving mechanics were perfect and after getting past the first half of the game and having played a couple afternoons of rampaging you learned it perfectly and could scape the police blindfolded in ten different ways and have fun doing it
Gta 5 fucked the gameplay the same way read rising 2 fucked dead risings 1 gameplay
What are you referring to? The vehicles or guns?
Both
Definitely
>Better main character
>Better supporting characters
>Better story
>Better setting
>Objectively better melee
>Being able to leave cars running
>Crouch
>Hanging on ledges
>More interiors
>More fleshed out internet, adding to injury that GTA IV came out 5 years before GTA V
>Better physics
>No bullshit cops that can shoot tires from a mile away
>No getting wanted stars when cops are nowhere to be seen
>Better radio
>More hidden goodies throughout the map (armor, health packs)
>Being able to heal at fast food joints
>The one heist is better than any of V's heists
>More missions
The cars feel a little too heavy, cars don't maneuver like boats IRL. Driving in V is just much more enjoyable.
The gunplay just felt good because of the technology or the NPCs, to make them feel better. But overall gunplay is much better in V. It's more responsive and guns in general feel better to fire. They also don't sound like shit.
I remember downloading the GTA IV trailers on XBL and getting so hyped.
I remember running Hangman's Noose to rank 10 on I think three different accounts.
Once you got to rank 10 in Hangman's Noose nobody would trust you, because they though you were a griefer.
Although I agree it isn't all too important in a lot of games, I'd say that your list is very small. I'd prefer all games running at 144hz honestly.
>I'd prefer all games running at 144hz honestly.
Why stop at 144hz? I'd prefer 240hz.
>He doesn't run all games at 1000hz
Time flies.
There still isn't a version of ENB that disables the fake shadow texture thingy? There's already an ENB version that disables the fake feet shadow in Dragon's Dogma/
