Finally got to play Dark Souls 3 and dear god were most people here wrong about it

Finally got to play Dark Souls 3 and dear god were most people here wrong about it.

>complain about DS2 having too many enemies
>entire Cathedral of Deep has more enemies than Iron Keep and Amana put together

>DS2 used mobs for cheap traps
>DS3 does the same and even more

>too linear
>game offers you multiple paths right after Highwall

The only thing that was actually real was the poise issue.

For some reason there have been a lot of DS2 shills lately

i got tired of arguing with people about how great das3 is, now i just have to ignore how wrong people are. especially morons that claim das2 is somehow better

...

People who shit on DS2 and DS3 are both in the wrong or atleast overreacting.

sure, but das3 is way better than 2. i'd ague that it's on the same level as 1

People are wrong about Mass Effect. Mass Effect 2 is the best of the 3. There was nothing wrong with 2, 3, or the ending and there are zero lore breaks. The only retcon in the game is Samara saying there are only 3 ardat-yakshi in existence in 2 and the devs changing their mind in 3.

lol nope
DS3 is only better in graphics

1 is kinda dated after playing 2 and 3 if you ask me.

The low number of enemies put together with the clearly weak second half of the game put the game on the last spot for me.

It has the best atmosphere and feels the most coherent but besides that it aged hard in terms of combat system and multiplayer.

I would stop going back if not for single great fights like Artorias or Manus.

>Mass Effect 2 is the best of the 3
good, 2 was the only one i played
and tali has been my waifu ever since

...

The moment people expressed even the slightest disappointed in DaS3, 2 shills tried their damned hardest to convince people that their game was better.

DaS3 could have been better, but it is nowhere near being worse than DaS2.

That's not even close to accurate.

DS2 has elements ppl dont like
worse gam in serie
DS3 lacks most elements that made ds1 and ds2 good
best game ver on par with dark souls 1

you people dont play video games. you played dark souls for around 60 hours (the whole series) and act like you have a right to have an opinion but in fact, you are faggots.

>disappointed
disappointment*

Fuck

Das3 has
>patrolling enemies
>weapon arts
>dual wielding weapons
>respecs
>better graphics
>better aesthetics
>more magic, better magic
>more different rings
>bosses with two phases

while Das has better level design

face it, Das3 is at least as good, if not better than das1

One thing DS2 has over 3 was the weapon and build variety. Anything was viable. I had as much fun with the Majestic Greatsword as I did the Bone Fist, Ricard's Rapier and Pyromancy/Sorcery.

Dark Souls 3 has such a huge bias towards hexes and Great Weapons that there's really no point in using anything else, excluding the twinswords. PvP is saturated with Ultra Weapons and Dark spell spammers that the only way you're going to compete is to either join the cancer or host private fight clubs.

...

>patrolling enemies
good
>weapon arts
bordrline useless if not traited, shit
>dual wielding weapons ds2 did it better, so a downgrade, so shit
>respecs
ds2 had it for more than 5 times, shit
>better graphics
suck a dick whore
>better aesthetics
in your shitty opinion, gravestones in my asshole lmao lvl design, 5 swamp areas full of shit
>more magic, better magic
nerved to hell and back, borderline useless, shit
>more different rings
most of which are useless, shit
>bosses with two phases
fucking wow

wa are speaking about 2 upgrades vs 5+ downgrades, you came here to shill get fucked

Shit this dude has Nero's Table Hoppers as his normal dodge

how pathetic and desperate do you have to be to post this weeb garbage on every single souls thread on Sup Forums and /vg/?

all you're doing is making people you didn't want it to hate and the people who might have wanted it to hate it

There is something weird about the art style and the animations that I'm not sure if I even want to try this.

what is it with reddit blogs lately

>bordrline useless if not traited, shit
oh fuck off, don't act like the inclusion alone isn't a benefit. it's very existence is a plus for the game by adding something new and adding depth to the combat.

>dual wielding weapons ds2 did it better, so a downgrade, so shit
the movesets are better in das3

>suck a dick whore
running out of valid points?

>in your shitty opinion, gravestones in my asshole lmao lvl desig

oh now i realize i'm arguing with a shitposter, kill yourself

b8

DS3 clearly has the best tech and graphics without a doubt but personally i found the lore to be incredibly uninspired and boring for the most parts.

On one side it heavily referenced DS1 and on the other side it was so different that it rarely made sense. Like the whole Unkindled business and how characters effected the world after DS2 making clear that a lot of time passed and most shit got forgotten.

Even DS2 was more coherent.

Bone Fist > Demon's Fist
Prove me wrong. The flying side kick running attack was the most satisfying thing to land in the entire game.

>mfw i realise that this post is posted by a real person that exists on this very planet i live on.

>spams q button to farm iframes
>git gud soulsbabbies XDDD

what is it with faggots lately

yeah, how dare they discuss VIDEO GAMES

I found both games to be enjoyable for various reasons. I didn't like, "Let's just put more enemies here" as a way to make an area/section difficult. There is room to enjoy both games and not cry over which is better.

Demon's Souls is the best Souls game anyway

>On one side it heavily referenced DS1

this complaint will never make sense to me. does it bother people that Rivendell shows up in more than one movie, or that Snape is a reoccurring character?

>weapon arts
>here have a useless mechanic you will never use
>somehow considered good and even a step up from trick weapons from bb

its shit and so is your opinion

>the movesets are better in das3
no they arent

>running out of valid points?
>being a graphic whore
I expect you to suck dick because muh graphics isnt a valid argument in the first place when talking gameplay faggot
>oh now i realize i'm arguing with a shitposter, kill yourself

check your anus fagboi. your """"""arguments"""" are shit and so are (you)

>being a living talking meme without anything to contribute
>acts like he has a right to judge anything or anyone

The killing yourself wont take place on its own

>I dont want to buuuyy thiiis gaame because its weird :(((
>protecting cancer

leave

My problem is that DS2 said that new kings showed up and the past went into unknown territory yet suddenly Anor Londo is back.

You get what i mean?

I'm replaying 2 right now, and I don't know that I agree with:

>entire Cathedral of Deep has more enemies than Iron Keep and Amana put together

But with the over-focus on attack and speed, the shortcuts, and the overall safer, but also bigger level design, crowds are far less of an issue in 3 I find.

I guess complaining about reddit makes it easier for them to farm dank memes for reddit?

Dark Souls 3 is worth it alone for the multiplayer

Purple Phantom is the best thing ever added to the series multi wise. Dark Souls 3 also feels weighty and satisfying unlike 2. For the record I have 500 hours in DS2 and about 150 in 3. Im just waiting for the DLC and honestly Monster Hunter Frontier has been keeping me busy from playing again.

no one ever uses perseverance on ceastus, or rolling l1 with gottahrds, or oni slayer with 2kat, or stomp with profaned greatsword, etc?

and none of your other "arguments" are valid. you got rekt, quit crying and stop posting

If it's off putting then it's off putting, faggot. Talking about the art style of the game is still talking about the game. You are just a retard and too afraid to admit that you fucked up.

I like the theory that Dark Souls 2 is actually a King's Field game that only got rebranded into DS2 to get them more sales.

>no one ever uses perseverance on ceastus, or rolling l1 with gottahrds, or oni slayer with 2kat, or stomp with profaned greatsword, etc?

not an argument, what are you even talking about, what is this braindamage?

>and none of your other "arguments" are valid. you got rekt, quit crying and stop posting

as always 24/7 your opinion is shit and I could give less of a fuck. Your arguments are highly subjective and you are a fuccboi for spouting shit. Any questions

patrolling enemies are nothing new

weapon arts are a downgrade from the DS2 system

respecs are within expectation thanks to DS2

better graphics? I'd sure hope so after 7 years

the magic is again a downgrade from DS2 in every way, can't delay spells and caster builds are awful. let's not forget how they butchered warmth

only a few rings are a worthwhile addition, in return we now have to equip a specific set of magic rings to make casters not complete shit but still terribly gimped

second phases get lame once every boss has them

>claims that weapon arts are, "a useless mechanic you will never use"
>prove that they are used regularly
>"what are you even talking about, what is this braindamage?"

LOL you don't even know what you're talking about, you probably didn't even play the game

just stop, you're embarrassing yourself

found the shill

It feels like a discount zelda game

I don't know about rebranding, but I do think DS2 all too often feels like a weird DaS/KF hybrid of sort that doesn't really knows which it wants to be, and it hurts it overall.

Thats what you get for letting a KF videogame director let do a Dark Souls game.

the weapon art dual weapons have better movesets than in Das 2

there are tons of better rings in 3 that are used all of the time

second phase bosses are never lame

modern day gaming cancer as it lives and breathes
(muh graphics)
Talking about the art style of the game is still talking about the game.

Which is basicly not an arument because its highly subjective retrad, get off my board.

>You are just a retard and too afraid to admit that you fucked up.

Now you showed me

>proves nothing
>expects me to "believe" him
>LOL

wew, maybe, just leave if you have nothing to say shitkid?

What am i shilling?

>shitkid

jesus just fuck off. it's obvious you're here just to bait and shitpost. leave us alone to actually discuss the game

d-delete this b-bait right now!

A lot of things are subjective kid. The game looks like shit therefore the immersion is partly ruined. No reason to get so upset when someone does not like your new favorite game.

>compare Das 3 to das 1

>constantly tries bringing up das 2

AFAIK you HAVE to do Deacons AND Abyss Watchers before you can enter Irithyll and the rest of the game. You can pick whichever one you want to start with however. I think that's really the only choice you have, its otherwise pretty linear.

> leave us alone
>mooooooom, that bad man says mean things about our "totally not shitty sequel xy". make hiiim stooop.

What is it with you children of today, too braindamaged to say anything worthwhile?

video GAME
GAME PLAY
if you want to immerse yourself in graphics and cutscenes, you better be fucking off to movies where you came from, kid.

come at me i can fuck you in the ass all day ds3 shills and fuck sakes contrarians

it's not like anyone killed moonlight butterfly before taurus demon

To be fair, I do find some individual examples of level design would be *grand* in a KF game.

Not to mention the classic From humor - Aldia's Keep makes me grin, for one bastards - that wood coffer in a inflammable pool with a poison spitting statue right behind you need to destroy in the Black Gulch? And then if you're using a fire sword, you burn the coffer broke? That's classic From. Made me laugh ut loud.

finally somebody that posts a real game

DS3 was a mistake, trying to copy paste BB ruined it.

All the same you could do most of the bosses and areas out of order. In DaS3 you pretty much have to go Abyss Watchers -> Yhorm/Aldrich -> Lothric

>video GAME
>GAME PLAY
>THAT MEANS ONLY GAMEPLAY IS SOMETHING TO DISCUSS ABOUT. FORGET MUSIC, ART, STORY, CHARACTERS AND EVERYTHING ELSE.
Holy shit you're a retard. I'm out

>not having his priorities straight and protecting movie, walking simulators instead of the heart of the gaming, GAME PLAY

>I'm out
and never come back

guys bloodborne was shit without DLC but everyone knows Bloodborne with DLC is better than DS2, so well see what happens with DS3 once BOTH dlcs are out

Hi newfag!

What the fuck are you even saying? Speak english motherfucker.

>newfag
face me in Tower of Latria on PS3 faggot. LVL50

I would if the PS3 had any games

Wood coffer. Middle of inflammable pool.

Poison statue behind.

Need to destroy statue to open coffer.

If hitting with fire weapon, set pool aflame.

Burn/destroy coffer.

Laughter.

>Lv50 in latria
>Not lv120 in shrine of storms
Lrn2pvp noob

Also, since replaying DaS2 right now: I'm finding it's a testament to something that in my opinion went wrong in DaS3 how much easier it is to SL1 when compared to the two others.

first of all you keep saying coffer, just say chest

second, are you talking about aldia's keep or black gulch?

SL1 Das3 was super fun though

I love people who try to defend Dark Souls 2.

Here's the problem with Dark Souls 2

You can talk about PvP and weapon verity until you're blue in the face.

Doesn't change the fact that the game is balanced to shit, and has the animation and frame data quality of a highschool project thrown together in Unity over a weekend.

fucking adaptability and soul memory should make anyone stop defending das2

Is Bloodborne the best souls game?

PC player buying a PS4 soon, so just wondering.

Even then the balance of that game is awful.

Can't wait for the big balance patch that hits next month for DaS3 like DaS2 had in July 2014 when its DLC 1 hit.

Maybe not *THE BEST*, but pretty damn great and absolutely worth playing.

Put a lot of time into DS3 and my biggest complaint is no new enemies, phantoms, etc. in NG+.

My friends and I basically messed around in fight clubs, invasions etc. but I think only one guy I knew bothered to proceed past NG+ since the rest of us got bored.

Honestly? Maybe it's because I went from a glass cannon mage first run into SL1, but a handful of exceptions notwithstanding, I really didn't notice much of a difference, really.

Does it matter? Coffer is Gulch.

Aldia's Keep I was talking about the level as a whole.

>Holy shit you're a retard.

Except he's absolutely right and people like you are the reason why vidya has become AAA mass-market graphicstrash.

>there was nothing wrong with 2,
yes
>3,
yes
>or the ending
mmmmmmmmmmmm idk fampai

Anyone with access to google cannot complain about adaptability.

>not being low level red phantom to one hit knock people off the edge of the bridges in tower with the great axe

Why is adaptability bad?

Reminds me, always wanted to see if someone had a similar experience: using the covenant of champions to farm covenant items (rat tails, sun medals etc), I reach a point when enemies basically stop dropping items altogether.

Anyone knows if this is tied to Soul Level (in which case Agape Ring could solve this), or if this is tied to something else?

People will complain about having to level up a defensive stat in an RPG.

The only thing wrong with adaptability was how obscure they made it.

People still do blind runs. Google or no google.

>Not runnng cursed dbs and 1-2 shotting literally everyone
Lmao

except for the fact that your i frames are tied to adaptability

>not using only the greataxe in every game
man these kids

I for one am ready for the unsolicited summer inquisition to leave.

So like I said, people complaining about leveling a defensive stat in an RPG.

But the sheer vitriol for a problem that only applies to your first run is astounding.

The whole Agility/iFrame thing was a mess for someone doing a blind run, I think. It's far easier to quantify the effect of strict defense/offense.

But when you do what feels the very same dodge at the very exact same timing, and once you don't get hit, but then you do, It's harder to actually *know* whether it's you having fucked up or something being up with the game.

And there is something potentially rage inducing in that.

it's an unnecessary stat that no other game needed, i frames should be skill based

adapt is garbage and you now it

DaS1 has
>poise
DaS3 doesn't have
>poise
I know which one I choose.

I'm really liking it so far myself. The enemies seem more aggressive overall, Bloodborne included.

the many enemies thing
in ds2 they were just badly clumped fights
in ds3 they were indeed a lot of mobs, but they were well spaced and well paced

the traps in ds3 are cheap when you don't spot them, but they are easily spotted if you pay attention to your surroundings
which makes them fair

the linearity i do very much agree with though
