What are your top three Legend of Zelda games?
For me it's,
1.Phantom Hourglass
2.OoT
3.Wind Waker
I would've put Majora's Mask instead of Ocarina but I spent more time playing Ocarina.

Please explain your reasoning, I'm interested.

1. Link to the Past
2. OoT
3. LoZ1
Personal opinion mostly. I liked drawing your course and the ship customization and the dynamics with the phantoms. It just seemed cool to me.
That wasn't me you retard. Couldn't you see there were two posters?
1. Ocarina of Time
2. A Link to the Past
3. Zelda 2
Ocarina of Time
Link's Awakening
Wind Waker
The first two for having interesting, strange characters, for going in a new direction in an interesting way. Everything else is either a rehash, too gimmicky, or has dull characters.
Twilight Princess is still hands down the best. The only Zelda that tried semi-realisitic graphics. Huge world, items are fun and get upgrades, you get to go to the twilight realm, become a wolf, snowboard. Everything is literally better.
1. The Legend of Zelda
Sorry, but that's it. I liked dicking around in the original as a kid, but I hated II. Then when OoT came out I tried it and found it boring. Then I tried again with TP and that game was hot garbage.
One of these days I really should go back and try out the other games that were in the style of the original.
Also, adding to my answer early. Linebeck was a really good character.
Is the first one really that fun? I tried it and it was just confusing. Maybe I'll give it a chance some day.
Link to the Past
Ocarina
Wind Waker
Objectively correct list
Probably not, but I enjoyed it when I was a kid.
1. A link to the past
2. Link's Awakening
3. Wind waker
Ocarina is the most magical.
>Sequelitis fag
It was good but it wasn't THAT good
>Ocarina of Time
>A Link Between Worlds
>Twilight Princess
I played from the start of the zeldas
LA
OOT
ALTTP
ANYTHING PAST WINDWAKER OTHER THAN BINDING OF ISAAC AND ALBW IS HOT GARBAGE AND I DO NOT CONSIDER THIS TO BE REAL ZELDA GAMES
1. Link to the Past
2. Ocarina of Time
3. OG Zelda is always fun to bust out when my nephews are visiting. Their mother doesn't let them play video games and they think my NES is the most amazing machine ever.
>Binding of Isaac
That's not even Zelda
>Binding of Isaac
What
It's more zelda than NEO NINTENDO zeldas
Just no puzzles and no overworld.
And if boi had those things they would be superior
OOT - N64
OOT: Master Quest - Gamecube
OOT - 3DS
People who choose MM over OoT are edgy hipsters
you literally cannot prove me wrong
That's just like... your opinion man.
Ocarina of Time
Okami
Twilight Princess
>Okami
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE NOT ZELDA
Zelda enough for me. It's the only game I'd say even comes close to emulating what OOT did, and it exceeds what Twilight Princess did.
It is the truth there is no difficulty in modern titles and I had almost put albw in shit Zelda titles but hero mode
The mode that should be the main difficulty is in the game and make the game interesting and fun.
Being to easy is a disease modern games have
Well you're wrong about everything past Wind Waker. Phantom Hourglass was pretty difficult. I don't think Wind Waker was very hard t b h
I'd have to say:
1) Wind Waker
2) Ocarina of Time
3) Majora's Mask
It's tough, though, because there are things I really like from all of them. I'm currently playing Twilight Princess HD, and they really did a great job with dungeon design right from the start. The monkeys in the first dungeon are unique, the magnetic walls with the iron boots in the second dungeon, and then the water flow in the third are just really great.
>phantom hourglass
Get the fuck out of here.
And I still find that game like a 6 out of 10 it's sad because it doesn't have difficulty.
Which one doesn't have difficulty?
>doesn't let them play video games
What a Nazi bitch.
Ww
Yes, that is true. Still only your opinion though.
A link to the past is the only good Zelda game,
>TFW you find a treasure chest behind a waterfall for the first time in the history of gaming
1. Majoras Mask
2. Wind Waker
3. Oracle of Ages
Okami
3D Dot Game Heroes
Darksiders
Actual Zelda games have become shit in their stagnation.
I know, right? They're still kinda young, 6 and 4, but at least let them play educational games. The real kicker is she is the one who asked Santa Claus for our family's first NES. It's the same fucking NES I let her kids use, too.
Everyone's opinion who grew up with the golden era nintendo
Pc culture of NEO NINTENDO cannot allow criticism of bad game design and that is bad because it reinforces bad game play
I have a much easier time replaying OoT than MM. Since you know what to do in the beginning of MM the second time around you spend so much time waiting until you can finally get the ocarina.
>Pc culture
Nigger what? I agree that Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword was bad but you're going a bit too crazy with this.
LttP, FSA, Zelda 2
Wind Waker
LttP
OoT
OoT
ALttP
TP
TP comes at a close 4th solely because of how fun the bomb arrows were.
youtube.com
1. LA
2. OoT
3. MM
5. ALTTP
I have the Oracles games on my 3DS but haven't got around to playing them yet.
1.Majora's Mask
2.Ocarina of time
3.Wind Waker
1. Twilight Princess
2. A Link to the Past
3. Wind Waker
>I would've put Majora's Mask instead of Ocarina but I spent more time playing Ocarina.
Your favorite game is your favorite game. Does that mean you've spent the most time playing PH?
Not that PH isn't good. I consider it in the better half of the Zelda series, but not OOT/MM level good.
1. Oracle Of Ages
2. Link to the Past
3. NES Zelda
Link Between World' was pretty fun too.
Yeah, I got the golden ship parts and everything. It used to be my only DS game besides Animal Crossing and Pokemon. I grew up playing Oot though so it has a special place in my heart. Wind Waker was always a favorite of mine but I never permanently owned it until the HD re-release. Having fun with it right now.
Link's Awakening
original Legend of Zelda
Majora's Mask
I prefer my dungeons to be maze-like, not just a linear series of sliding block puzzles. Wind Waker gets a solid #4 slot, for giving you the freedom to go wherever the fuck you want and surprisingly good combat. I'd need to replay it to say much about the dungeons, though.
For the best games
>Link's awakening
>Ocarina of Time
>Skyward Sword
Twilight came close with the HD version and the Hero Mode.
Now as for best "Zelda" I have to go with
>Skyward Sword
>Minish Cap
>Marin
pretty much this
>I would've put Majora's Mask instead of Ocarina but I spent more time playing Ocarina.
wouldn't MM be third place then, you stupid fuck?
Oracle of Seasons
Twilight Princess
OoT
wow i guess someone had to like that piece of shit. Linebeck was the only good thing about that game. I even played a mod so you don't have to use the stylus to move and it's still terrible
>never been able to sexualize Link for the longest time, despite being into traps and feminine shota; it just feels wrong
>Nintendo comes up with THAT semen demon
>start to feel something changing in my heart (and inside my pants)
Why are you doing this to me, Nintendo? Why are you trying so hard to make me an even bigger degenerate by corrupting my feelings of nostalgia as well?
>Twilight Princess
>Ocarina of Time
>A Link to the Past
>honorable mention Oracle of Seasons
youtu.be
Best OST
I wasn't about to put both MM and OoT on the same list.
Wind Waker, Ocarina of Time, A Link to the Past.
1. Majora's Mask
2. A Link Between Worlds
3. Wind Waker
A Link to the Past
Ocarina of Time
Link's Awakening
ALttP
Awakening
Minish Cap
As far as "I would go ahead and download this to play it and have fun doing that," I'd have to say:
The Legend of Zelda
Wind Waker
Ocarina of Time
as the strongest video games though, I'd say
A Link Between Worlds
Twilight Princess
Oracle of Seasons
Why haven't you played it yet? It's better than Awakening and LTTP.
1. Legend of Zelda
2. Adventure of Link
3. Four way tie of LttP, LA, OoA, and OoS.
1) WW
2) Oracle of Ages
3) Minish
Fight me.
MM always just felt like a rom hack to me.
It also felt like more of a spin-off than one of the true flagship Zelda games.
I get that it has fans. I played the original when it was released back in 2000 and I bought it again for the 3DS.
I've tried my best to get into it but the time cycle just ruins it for me. I like to take my time playing Zelda - leisurely exploring and soaking in the world.
But MM literally has a ticking clock on-screen and even when I slow time down and I always feel under pressure to get things done.
Am I just playing the game wrong or something? Or do others feel like this?
No fucking way are those oracle games better than Link's Awakening.
LA was a weird Miyamoto self indulgence game with mario stuff shoe-horned in, and weird ocarina of time elements. it doesn't have much of its own personality. the oracle games are a straight upgrade.
Linksawakining
Minishcap
Holy fuck i forgot minishcap that was such a comfy game
It's interesting reading these replies.
None of you faggots can actually agree on anything.
I guess that's a testament to the appeal of the Zelda series: Every Zelda is someone's favourite Zelda.
The series is so vast and means so many different things to so many different people. No wonder each new Zelda game gets ripped to shreds initially.
For the record its:
1) Ocarina of Time
2) A Link To The Past
3) Wind Waker
LA was made before Ocarina, if anything the ocarina mechanic was borrowed from ALTTP.
Interestingly enough, LA actually started as out a port of ALTTP, made by some Nintendo staffers afters hours before evolving into it's own fully fledged game.
Hyrule Warriors Legends
Freshly-Picked Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland
Twilight Princess Picross
1. MM, (it was my first zelda so that game will always have a place in my heart.)
2. OOT (BOTW might take this spot, though)
3. TP, i would've put WW on this spot, but in TP it's faster to reach where you want to be
Tingle's Balloon Fight
Link's Crossbow Training
The Wand of Gamelon
LoZ is only good if you played them as a kid
the world is as bland as the combat
LA has my favorite story but the text boxes pissed me off so much.
MM
LA
OoT
such a lame list, i know, but i've played them all, and these three are the best
>phantom hourglass in first place
I mean, I *like* PH but ... that's some confident contrarianposting
anyway, my list goes like this:
1. wind waker
2. LoZ (nes)
3. OoT
oh and just for additional flavor I'll give you this:
last. TP. this is the only zelda game which I would actually call a shitty game, PERIOD
It's no surprise that people will argue over what they consider desirable in their Zelda games.
In fact I think it's to the community advantage that the opinions are so diverse, instead of being super polarized in two or three opinions.
TWW
ST
MC
Can you guess why?
Story wise TP sucked.
But it excels at the core Zelda gameplay - The Dungeons.
Hands-down, TP has the best gamut of dungeons in any of the 3D Zeldas.
oh and to add to that, I also don't particularly like ALttP. I don't think it's *bad*, per se, I just think it's terribly overhyped and not even in my top 10 best zelda games.
Because you're a pedophile?
No insult
OoT maybe, OoS is boring and has bad puzzle and it starts dragging half way through.
you really like the cel shaded art style would be my guess? you're only missing PH from that list of the games using that art style.
almost all zelda games' story sucks, except for wind waker and possibly OoT
no what I hated about TP was how it's overworld progression was infested with the cancer that is killing gaming, which is forced scenario encounter based on specialized, non-universal combat mechanics, e.g. the bridge encounters, the carriage escort mission, etc. (i.e. what I call the "storyboard approach" to game design, aka. what games like uncharted, the last of us, etc ad nauseam are based upon entirely, and the most egregious manifestation of which is the by now almost universally despised QTE)
I like the toon artstyle yes
Also toon link
did you not actually read the thread? most people have at least 2 of either Oot, MM, WW, or AlttP.
>Not two people in this thread have the same list.
TP, OoT, and MM. The Oracles immediately follow suit.
No one needs the exact same list. If you actually look at people's posts ITT you can see that most top 3's are some variation of at least two of those 4 games.
That was hard.
Glad I'm not the only one that thought this. I genuinely had a hard time bringing myself to beating it.
>Ctrl F Skyward Sword

HOLY SHIT
