Exclusivity is what drives the industry. If the exclusives are great you feel justified with buying multiple consoles.

If there werent exclusives, then you'd only pick one console and would have no need for the others.

In the genesis and snes era both consoles had exclusives that justified buying both if you could afford it.

His games spoke to me on a level I didn't think was possible. I don't know how to describe it, but MGS, MGS2, and MGS3 especially were amazing. Snake was everything I wish I could be and then MGS2 takes that and makes it the main theme of the game and uses it to show you how powerful MEMES are. MGS3 is great because of how badass Naked Snake is and how he seems to one-up even Solid Snake. MGS4 was still pretty good and it had a lot of feels but when you think about it after the fact it wasn't the best. Of course the gameplay is great in all of these games as well.

I would agree with you, were it not for the fact that in the last two gens only Nintendo had exclusives that took advantage of their unique hardware in their exclusives becuase the other too consoles are very similar. If a game is not released for PS4 but its released for XONE, most of the time, is not because the PS4 cant run the game, the same is true the other way around.
