I don't know what they were expecting. I never got the Persona appeal. Beat 3, it was alright. 4 was okay. Neither was this big phenomenon I was told it was. They were pretty standard JRPGs.

No one is far enough in the game to reliably say much, but from what English streamers have gotten to, most of what is being said is complete horseshit. Ann, for instance, is being blackmailed by the Chad, because she's trying to save her friend, who is legitimately being skeezed on by said Chad. And when she gains her Persona Carmen, the game makes it pretty clear you are handling things before she becomes a victim too, since that dungeon is all about making him be less of a scumbag.

MasterLL should be getting to that dungeon within the next 30 minutes or so, if I remember what he was at correctly.
