Sort of sad I traded it in, but I did get so much enjoyment from PS2
>Grey

Jet Star is best star. Comfy game.

also the only gamecube games i had for the longest time were f zero gx,melee, and prime because it really didnt have much that appealed to me. honestly had more fun with my dreamcast, xbox, and ps2. its still a decent system for what it is and i discovered some underrated gems for it way after it was discontinued.
mah nigga
I still use mine for melee.
Melee is love.
Melee is life.
Melee is eternal.
The gamecube is now as old as the NES was during my childhood
I had the black GC along with a black GBA to match
It's fucking awesome and I love it. Nintendo won't even sell you GC games on the virtual console because they're gay.
>not the wii
do you even 20xx?
20XX is alright, but I'm way past the point of needing its training features.
I have a custom .Iso on my wii that I use for controller modding on debug mode, but I don't have much use for 20XX.
I regretted trading mine in but was relieved when I discovered softmodding on the Wii.
Has anyone set their Wii to boot immediately to a USB loader? I'd love to be able to avoid having to use a Wiimote if possible.
fair enough, but I don't think there's a human alive (even Leffen) who couldn't have better ledgedashes, and savestates makes practicing them so much easier.
I don't play Spacies so I'm ok with that. Some other tech I tend to practice with sparring partners.
I have. It boots to a menu in which you can choose the homebrew channel with a gc controller, I forget how I did it but I did.
Who do you play that doesn't have dumb ledge options? Peach? Marth/Falcon have hax dashing, shiek has shino stalling, iceies also has a sick ledge dash... Almost all the high tiers do, just Puff/Peach.
Stories
be a N64 kiddie, constantly on sites for every scrap of info on the gamecube, back when it was referred as the Dolphin
See pics of Luigi's Mansion that blow my mind, Hyped as fuck for it, Launch day comes and I mention to my mom how it releases at midnight, tell her how much I wish I could have one, she tells me that I have bonds she bought when I was little and I could cash them and buy a gamecube. Hyped through the roof, got a Gamecube the next morning at Toys R Us.
>First game
Rogue Squadron
>Fav Games
Metroid Prime, Rogue Squadron, Mario Sunshine
Pic is me opening Metroid Prime for Xmas 2002, which I was crazy excited for.
I play Marth/Ganon. I do practice ledge-stuff a lot but just on normal matches instead.
After I got Ganon fucking retarded hard ledge dash down I haven't used 20XX much.
I'm pretty sure it's because of the pressure-sensitive R and L triggers being wonky as fuck on other controllers.
Try emulating something like Super Mario Sunshine, you won't get much enjoyment out of it sadly.
However I'm sure there are some games they could fix up.

My collection currently....
I remember being hyped as fuck for Donkey Kong Racing. Shame we'll never get it.
>14th birthday
>get a black GameCube with Smash Bros for my birthday
>that night go to a Green Day and Blink 182 concert
>drank cheap booze, smoked weed, had fun
>on the way home my drunk older brother decides to drive his truck through the yard of some kid he didn't like (they called it "yarding")
>it's only a couple blocks from our house
>that kid and his mom come over instantly cause they saw it go down
>my parents are embarrassed and apologetic
>the two deadbeat teenage boys are talking shit
>didn't play my GCN till the next dat
...you could just get a gamecube controller adapter, which the wii u also has. It's just because they're fucking lazy. VC GameCube games would very likely be buggy and framedroppy without a lot of work.
Pac man World 2
Pac Mania was my life when I unlocked it.
Priiloader. Even if you're not going to use it to boot apps on startup it's useful for brick protection.
