Even counting optional ones, there weren't many full grid battles in the entire game anyway.
They should have given Stocke an ability to launch an enemy up into the air for a full turn.

Sure there weren't a lot, but they all sucked massive ass and kinda invalidated the game's whole battle gimmick anyways. If you take away the whole shoving enemies around the grid thing it just turns into normal JRPG combat. Which isn't BAD per se, but a lot less interesting.
