Considering the game came out 14 years ago, yes I would. The game's story set up a direct sequel and I remember liking the first game when it came out, so I would have had no reason to believe it going the path it took.

Granted, the games are all great, but the story has evolved into something stupid.

It's really just a white t-shirt, with like some jeans and a belt. You could probably mimic the jacket look by wearing a plain black jacket unzipped with the hood up, that wouldn't be a hard outfit to put together.

personally I feel like the game gets a huge spike in quality after you get the 2nd set of worlds and you start getting cooler abilities as you get higher in level.

Like most square games, the fun starts once you start accumulating abilities and spells. There's no way anyone isn't hooked by the time you get to Neverland, I know that much. I feel like that's the point of no return for the KH series for some reason.

I mean I don't remember the world map all that well, but I think it's kinda deep into the game so it's only natural. It'd help more if you explained your problems with the game so far. If it's just "I haven't been doing cool ass shit yet" then you definitely get way cooler shit later on. Eventually you can't even equipt it all. I hated having to not use ragnarok.

I'd say KH1 really starts picking up once you get to at least Agrabah. it starts dragging in Neverland, but that's because everything is so fucking slow thanks to the flying ability. it immediately picks back up once you go back to Traverse Town, Hollow Bastion, and End of the World.

what the fuck? It can't even be a neverland problem because there you aren't even restricted to the slow base flying.

I know narrative-wise, Neverland at least picks up with Kairi being seemingly within reach, and tension between Sora and Riku reaching a high.
Gameplay wise it's standard and only refreshing with the flying. Interior areas suffer but whatever.

Agrabah is interesting because more disney villainy going on, but it's largely a pain to explore the ruins, and everything prior is really no better than the worlds before it. The end of it is great though.

KH1 isn't an inconsistent game. The quality is pretty even throughout. The problem is it starts somewhat difficult and you don't get hooked into a game like KH until the RPG progression kicks in or you start liking the story

I honestly didn't mind the flight, it didn't take too long and I think it added a nice touch to the fighting.
