It's a dumb game
For you
wtf i hate skyrim now!
Nord Master Race
if i removed the modability, would it hurt the games reception
>not mer
>master race
Fuck off
I like what they did with Blocking
Very sky, would rim again.
i might try it now that it only costs 10$
I enjoyed it, the only thing I didn't like though was the combat, I had to pause it a lot of times to change weapons or use potions, the fact that it has to be paused so much breaks the rythm
Baby's first Witcher.
Walking simulator for Baby RPG aficionados.

An alright RPG, but not as good as it could have been
What's left in the game files of the cut content shows Skyrim was going to be a lot better than it turned out, I theorize that there's a lot more cut content that didn't even make it to the game files.
Dawnguard showed that Bethesda could do far more with their engine than they were able to fit in skiyrim before the rushed release date, and Dragonborn showed that Bethesda still cares about the lore of TES.
The Elder Scrolls is their own series, they have a much finer grasp on the game than they do Fallout, when Bethesda tries something new with TES it usually doesn't turn out too bad, but when Bethesda tries something new with Fallout it usually turns out horrible.
One day Bethesda will be as skilled with Fallout as they are with TES, but that's besides the point.
The point is, I truly believe that if Bethesda and Zenimax give the next game as much development time as it needs, it'll be spectacular.
>literally white niggers
>meanwhile Imperial, the actual niggers and a bunch on mongrols are leagues more advanced
Made 4 mods.
What are some fun mods lads? Warzone is pretty cool.
no, baby's first Witcher is Fallout 4 because share far more similar game design than the witcher does with skyrim
Fallout 4 was so bad, I hope they learned that making such a constricting narrative is not good. Even worse for a TES game maybe.
White Gold Tower was built by Aylieds though...
Assuming you modded it properly with 300 immersion, content, combat, graphics, gameplay mods, it's easily one of the best games ever made.
Vanilla it's ok but it's the weakest TES by far.
Magic is way OP
>Illusion for fast leveling and control of any battle
>Conjuration for pure damage and summoning tanks
>Alteration for being light as a feather but high defense
Destruction magic is broken as in worthless as shit, takes forever to load and it's better to just summon a bow sniping fuckers for high damage
I miss hand-to-hand skill, it was a great feeling in Oblivion to punch ghosts and everything else to death
9/10 if you play as a mage
7.7/10 if you play as a thief
3.4/10 if you play as a warrior
I like it. Would enjoy it even more if I had a better rig.
Cheap comfy lite-RPG that is made great by mods. If it didn't have mod support, it'd be the worst TES.
It had some neat additions but as always with TES games there is at least 1 step back for every step forward. Overall its an ok game, that can be made great with a ton of mods
This applies to all Elder Scrolls games really, but I love that Khajits have the lore that they do.
Never before has the reputation of a race in a game matched my playstyle as perfectly as they do. Being a dick-ass, stealing everything and smooth talking everybody for personal gain? They were literally made for me.
>Invest nothing in HP and barely any combat skills
>Max out Conjuration, specifically anything necromancy related
>Download a mod that allows for limitless zombies and adds a skeleton effect
>Watch dragons and entire fortresses get overwhelmed by level 1-5 enemies from the beginning of the game
Was pretty fun tbqh. Little annoying to clean it all up afterwards though, like when all 200 tried to go through a single hallway and got stuck, letting some archer almost win a 1 v 200
Shame it causes massive save bloating
That terrible game that everyone enjoys.
Undertale?
Wide as an ocean deep as a puddle
Skyrim makes a fantastic impression the first couple of hours, but as you progress you start to realize how shallow it is. Towns are generally just very small with little in them, characters ralely have much meaningful to say, you become Archmage Guild leader Ultra Supreme after just a handful of faction quests.
Games like Skyrim is all about immersing yourself in a world, well Skyrim's world doesn't reach above the ankles. The first impression it makes on you doesn't last long, and when the illusion is broken what is left is just a very superficial RPG.
>a thousand years ago
There are only a few years between Morrowind and Oblivion. The time between Arena and Oblivion is less than 50 years, with the empower you save from Tharn being the same one killed by the Mythic Dawn.
it was the opposite for me, i thought the beginning was terrible and the story was moving way too fast. then around level 35-45 when i started becoming really powerful i enjoyed it a lot more.
MY NIGGA
Vivec is an ancient city.
>not sentient trees with lizard symbiosis
>master race
tired meme
So is the IC, but the pic says it's only 200 years old and Vivec is 1000
MSGA
99% of people who bought skyrim never installed any mods
In the timeline of Morrowind, it was thousands of years old.
Source: uesp.net
> For hundreds if not THOUSANDS of years, he mostly resided at the pinnacle of his Palace in Vivec, his capital, which was visited by hundreds of pilgrims and tourists daily.
>companions are garbage

>most boring race in the whole fucking game
>master race
Lol
>2016
>still hating the best Elder Scrolls
>game so great that it transcended race and forced the japs to give it 40/40 in their most respected video game publication
>game that put The Elder Scrolls into the mainstream consciousness
Just give it up, already. It was the best Elder Scrolls and a benchmark for open world games.
That looks amazing, but does it only really work in third person?
I'd like to see some first person perspective of this, if thats possible
Any good or recommended mods for Argonian/Khajiit races?
this
do a few dungeons realize they're all donut shaped hallways
even oblivion's shitty randgen dungeons had more to them
this sin't ask.fm, faggot
It's a board about videogames
We're talking about videogames.
It's pretty good
thieving tools is pretty good
Comfy
Try installing the souls quick menu. Works perfectly fine and you don't have to pause every two seconds to chug a potion or change your weapons
Wish there were more magic like in Oblivion and Morrowind
so bullshit
It's dumbed down and worse than Oblivion in every way but character models
How long will mods take to be adapted to Special Edition?
I want to play again when it's out but I can't play without survival mods.
The greatest RPG of our time and I can't wait until they make a HD remaster.
...
SKSE dependent mods will take months at least, and it's still unclear what's going to be done about SkyUI and MCMs.
Great game, lots of time spend with joy, i even had house and kids there.
in some ways magic in skyrim is improved: rune magic, sustained magic, long-wind up magic, different spells in different hands, a shame they didn't implement the idea they showed in the game jam, where mixing spells sometimes gave a unique effect
Literally false.
I've played it for hundreds of hours and had fun with it, even if it is mediocre.
I just hope Bethesda stops pandering to casuals and starts making great games again.
I want to have tree hugging faggots hunt me down for picking flowers goddammit!
>where mixing spells sometimes gave a unique effect
That was the original plan for the game, but it was cut. Skyrim's development must've been rushed as fuck.
Good for it's time but reddit style over rated.
Then TW3 came along and blew it out of the water.
I'm building a PC and one of the reasons is to play Skyrim with a fuckton of mods and high resolution stuff.
I think the game is fun and very immersive with the right mods.
A fun little sidegame to play before Enderal.
>Implying anyone plays the Witcher series
>people STILL make games where you can just pause in the middle of combat and gulp down as many instant-effect potions as you like
>this is how you're expected to heal
Why the fuck is this allowed? How fucking lazy do you have to be to let this retarded shit pass? How hard is it to make one fucking animation for drinking shit?
Completely eligible for roleplay to an extent. I managed to have fun with it. Would never play vanilla if given the option of mods but can play on vanilla if I ever had no choice.
Mods are alright. It's a classic "dime a dozen" kind of thing but they're good.
Totally worth checking out all the mods n' shit. Too bad you need a beefy PC for a lot of that.
>Then TW3 came along and blew it out of the water.
witcher3 is a terrible open world game, it has fucking level restricted loot, in an open world! renders the whole thing pointless, and it took them ages to implement a chest
Anti-Witcherfags are the best. I can still taste the raw fucking salt from it winning goty
>Love the game.
>Was pumped it was getting remastered
>realised it was $60
>nope
Fuck you Bethesda.
>this fucking obvious samefagging to keep the war alive
my god you are disgusting.
>was nice
>story a little meh (especially about moral choices as usual)
>go full tanky
>shield choo choo train 1st time ever
>can't stop laughing
>finish game, was okay
>mods arrive
>delicious enhancements
>more dumb shit
>just play sometimes for shits & giggles
This game was worth its cash, was fun overall and mods made it better / weirder / creepier / etc.
Even if Bethesda is shit-tier on storyline most of the time, i still think they can do a better one quite easily if they added the possibility to chose a negotiator path. Or, obviously, add a shit ton of possibilities.
Only problem is .. they use voice actors for ALL lines. So every possibility must also be recorded. This takes time, a shit ton of lines to record, costs a lot to do it and turns it into a nightmare.
Bethesda can be saved if they hire better writers and find a magical text to speech to attach to their dialogues that can do proper emotion intonations. Keep the VA for the main storyline villain speech or whatever, keep the protagonist silent so you don't have to dub it, boom, possible good game.
>not getting it for free by being a good goy
Completed all the achievements never going to play it ever again.
So rehashes are fine when Bethesda does it?
its fine when I dont pay for it
>he got in on console
That I agree with.
I'm not salty I couldn't care less about the Witcher it's just one of those critic games.
this again
why is Sup Forums so triggered
Sup Forums cares less that LoL is the most popular game
witcherfags are desperate for attention so they always shitpost in TES and Souls threads
I hate LOL I just like triggering Witcher fags.
you say that after posting that picture in >one of those critic games
not for a level-headed joe the plumber like yourself?
post skyrim wiafus already
It's just a game that critics circle jerk about Morrowind is superior. Also Geralt is a Mary Sue with white yes and gold eyes it's like a fucking sonic OC.
Pretty much the best fantasy game ever made
I played it legit whole 2 hours before I got utterly bored and looked for porn mods.
Eyes*
My thoughts are... Fuck that engine. Fuck the character building. Fuck the level scaling. Fuck only being able to kill certain characters. Fuck having no effect on the environment around you. Fuck how easy it it on the hardest setting. The graphics are pretty rad and it has cool duel wield but i will play Oblivion over that any day and Morrowind over that any day. I have fun playing it, but if they go any further in that direction I won't be playing much of whatever they come out with next.
Oh yeah fuck not being able to do anything because your are fighting your 100th dragon in a fucking row. Dragon Slayer 1.
heh
>Oblivion
