No way lol.

He sounds like a 13 year old.

>linking polygon

nice false flag faggot nigger

Literally spineless, limp wristed, crocodile tears based faggotry.

>We were forced to
This is fucking game development, you're not forced to do shit. Especially since you allegedly refused money.

Also if you were being honest at all at any point (y'know not FUCKING LYING) you should have admitted you have zero ideas what you're doing when you wound up getting your data AND your backups flooded a few times and had to start over like complete retards.

>gross misconduct on the communities part

>A suspicious email sent to two Polygon staffers, neither of whom corresponded directly with Murray previously, contained an “apology” for the game. The email apes frequent community criticisms, and includes a tell in the spelling of “apologize” (British English would spell it differently, as Sean Murray does in this post). Here’s the email:

Are people actually retarded enough to think this is real?

>gross misconduct
I can see that. People have threatened to kill Sean M--
>people have asked for refunds despite our promise
Oh...

lol blood, what was he on his period?

Sup Forums is full of retards who rarely bother to click the links, it's like they WANT to get mad

...

>We are just a small studio.
Boo fucking hoo. People have made and released much better games for free.

>implying Hype culture did not cause the shit storm

Hello game said that the tweet "No Man's sky was a mistake" was sent by a disgruntled employee. They are covering up. Read the article.

>it wasn't our fault we are innocent everybody else made us fail because they wanted us to be professional and responsible!
Typical genZ logic. They stay 8 their whole life.

and you didn't read shit either. Seriously, check out reddit. And I'm being serious on this one. Go to the No Man's Sky subreddit. There was mixed information on the tweet and e-mail being real because of mixed messages from Hello Games itself. First they claimed it to be hackers, then it ended up being a "disgruntled" employee.

>communities gross misconduct

>despite our promise to keep updating the game
>it's been at least a month since the last update and last tweet before going silent.
It's not like everything is pointing out that they dropped the game entirely.

The retards here would be you

>Its all sony and the entire communities fault
>We did nothing wrong!
Bullshit. Sean brought this on himself by constantly lying in interviews.

...

>its sony's and your fault that my game is shit

>its yours and sony's fault

hahaha i can wait for his suicide to be the next headlines

IT'S FAKE YOU FOOLS

READ THE FUCKING ARTICLE

it's isn't if you'd bother to actually do your research.

>apologize

>A suspicious email sent to two Polygon staffers, neither of whom corresponded directly with Murray previously, contained an “apology” for the game.
Okay which of you faggots was this

Yes it is if you'd bother to actually do your research, which you didn't despite claiming so.

>Does your game have X?
S:Yep!!
>Game doesn't have X
S: MREEEEAAA god damn game community!

A hacker could be a disgruntled employee, they are not mutually exclusive.

Yeah had me at blood, sweat, and tears.

no you fucking retard. You are referring to the polygon article as if that's the only source. That's where the e-mail was published to the public. Hello Game's twitter account tweeted "No Man's Sky was a mistake" which was way before the e-mail. First they claimed it was a hack. Then a Hello Game's employee claimed it was a disgruntled employee. Then the e-mail was sent to polygon.

B-based Sony!

They'll ruin Shenmue, I tell you

Blaming others for his own mistake. a complete piece of trash till the end

>guys, we're totally sorry, but thanks for the millions anyway, fgts!
Fuck that faggot and everyone that was involved in this shit game.

ok you've convinced me

I apologize

>Don't blame Sony they said.

I fucking knew it.

I'm going to knock Sean out next time I see him in Tesco the dick

>Blames a corporation
>Blames the community

Let me guess, the next thing the blame will be video game culture?

"Retarded" or no, that people generally believed it with absolutely zero verification is fucking telling of how little faith people have in Hello Games and Sean Murray.
This is entirely their fault.

>Are people actually retarded enough to think this is real?
This is Sup Forums you know.

ugh... I feel sick

Sup Forums is all excited over TORTANIC 2

how cute

>blaming literally everyone but yourself

...

It's for this specific line I question the validity.

Came here just for this

Are you going to knock him in the dick?

>lack of respect

You know, typically you say "We were forced to release early, game is shit now, wait until we fix it" when you're forced to release early and game is shit.

Look at Final Fantasy 14.

Hell, look at Minecraft.

>Will your game have X
S: Yep!!
>Game doesn't have X on release because it's rushed by publishers
GC: [mass autism]
S: We can't fix the game if you retards steal all our funds
GC: >>:((

Considering how dull and drab video game controversies have gotten over the past year, I welcome this silly nonsense with open arms.

my sides are in orbit

some user kind enough to pastebin or screenshot the article?

>we're blaming sony and the customers

jesus fucking christ, is this what humanity is doomed to become? Incapable of taking responsibility?

Doomed to become? It became that long time ago, get with the times.

>article literally states it was a fake email
>they still post it

I fucking hate polygon.

well technically women have done it for centuries so it's not exactly new to humanity as a whole

It's no surprise. The big name companies like Sony and Microsoft are complete cancer when they buy out the games.

The same thing happened with Halo Master Chief Collection. It was rushed like fuck and then completely broken on launch, which hurt Microsoft in the end because less sales upon hearing the news.

The bobble-heads they have in charge there think you can just magically make a perfect game by the deadline. I'm surprised that Gears 4 managed to make a near perfect PC and console port while being a franchise managed by Microsoft.

clickbait, gotta get the dank ad revenue

>its sony's fault...and also......the community's fault!!!!!!!!!!

fuck you. no one made you lie.

"all footage shown is me playing the game"
"yes, [you can play with your friends]"
"yes, [you can sort of customize the look of your character]"
"I'm in the middle of a battle. i could join in. i could take sides."
"you can play the game as a trader and never land"
"we'll see what lies in the center of the universe..."

and no, tweeting out "this isnt a multiplayer game" hours before it comes out doesnt make you not-a-liar. the fact that you tweeted that out hours before it came out is a fucking bright-red indicator that you knew exactly what was going on. but its ok. youre an indie dev, making an indie game. hype for your team's special game is deserved. you would be demented to not take advantage, right? in the end its not YOUR problem that you fueled a hype campaign and never ever interjected facts about the game, right? wrong. I totally believe sony wanted the game rushed. I also believe that you lied. you made promises that you didnt keep.....BUT maybe the reaction wouldve cooled down if you explained that these missing things were being patched in. people would still be pissed, but not outraged. but no, you ran. you hid. you let it sit and you let millions of players stew. you took advantage of people dumb enough to buy a game because of the advertising and now those dumb fucks are looking for you. and THEYRE the problem! they shouldnt have been looking for me, right? theyre the ones being bad, right?

Ive read your other interviews. you knew people would be disappointed. but there was no way in hell you would act on that. that was money. no, you were going to let it all play out and walk out of it like the little molyneux you were fine becoming. in a years time, youre that "little scamp" from that "no mans sky thing". and people should just let that happen and stop being so mean to me, right?

No.

FUCK you.

at least we still had the decency to pretend to feel bad for shit we fuck up

Man fuck this Sean Murray guy, seriously. Like anyone's supposed to give two shits about your excuses and how many tears and spermatozoa you put into your piece of shit game. Fuck off already and fade into obscurity.

>Update: Forbes is reporting that they have spoken to a representative who verified that the tweet was sent from a “disgruntled employee.” Mashable is reporting that Sean Murray told them, “The tweet came from a disgruntled employee” and “We're currently trying to solve the issue internally.” We’ve updated this story throughout with new information, including Murray’s follow-up tweets.

>disgruntled employee
LMAO

It's fake you attention-seeking mongol.

its fake

shhhhh, don't tell them, OP hid that part of the article on purpose

How do peoples' Twitters get "hacked?"

Usually, it's people clicking suspicious links, right?

I just have no idea.

>all those faggots actually defending false advertisement
This industry is fucked.

you retards should actually do your research. The article itself claims it's fake. But Polygon isn't the only site reporting on it.

>But Polygon isn't the only site reporting on it.
So? That's what news sites do you utter inbred moron.

Sup Forumstards will eat it up because they WANT it to be true
so they'll outright ignore anything and anyone claiming otherwise so they can have their Sup Forums-faggy-outrage festival

The email is fake, but the tweet is absolutely real.

here you go you dumb fucks

forbes.com/sites/erikkain/2016/10/28/that-mysterious-deleted-no-mans-sky-tweet-wasnt-a-hack/#7dffa68335ef

>polygon.com/2016/10/28/13453440/no-mans-sky-tweet-game-was-a-mistake

What the fuck. No way someone actually thinks like this.

>fuck you. no one made you lie.

Sony did make them lie.

I think the most important question we have to ask is: did the guy who posted the tweet go on Sup Forums regularly?

I mean, "______ was a mistake" is one of our favorite things to say, or it used to be. Did he get it from us?

you'll fee dumb in a couple of hours

>Sony is to blame
I can believe that.

...

When the fuck is someone going to post the article in a pastebin

>blaming the community for an unfinished piece of shit
Fuck off. You have no one to blame but yourself for this shit. Everyone was sucking your dick pre-release other than the people who were calling out your lies.

And you are CLEARLY not working on updating or improving the game since your entire studio has been abandoned with signs of long-term abandonment.

NU MALE BABIES BTFO

THEY WILL NEVER RECOVER

You say that as if they didn't willfully ride on the hype train.

Saying the community acted in gross misconduct is a whole new tier of delusion and entitlement because it implies there is any code of conduct for a hype community to begin with.

Hype is a double edged sword - sure it is the most effective way to get the word around and popularize your game without spending a cent on PR, but if that was all it took then you wouldn't need PR anyways.
Hype gets the word around quickly but it's just a bunch of people unaffiliated to the game's production spreading their excitement, therefore it's prone to spreading misinformation and wishful thinking and assumptions. It's the PR's job to dispelling misinformation and answer questions about the game so things won't get out of control.

Sean utterly failed at being a spokesman and just blissfully rode the hype train and told everyone sweet little lies they wanted to hear, as if everyone could one day wake up and forget all the shit that was promised.

It was delusion at best, and a con fraud at worst. They have no excuses.

Who the fuck is talking about the tweet you dumb bastard? We're talking about the email, you know the one LINKED IN THE OP.

This is the proof that it's fake right here. The person who posted that tweet was obviously memeing, Sean Murray himself would never post that because he's probably never even heard of the "X was a mistake" thing.

Why are people so fucking gullible?

>we fucked up
>it's the fans' fault
Had it coming

Yeah, because Sony told them to advertise features that won't be in the game and get a shit ton of bad press for it that is tied to the Sony name as well.

You are a bright person.

Because whether the tweet is real or not gives us an idea whether the e-mail could be real as well. If we know that the tweet was posted by Sean Murray or another "disgruntled employee" then the e-mail being real can not be easily ruled out since we already determined that it's not out of the realm of possibility that any Hello Game's employee would write it. If we can rule out the tweet we can rule out the e-mail. That's the point.

then why the fuck did Hello Game's claim that the tweet was posted by a disgruntled employee?

>You are a bright person.

Thank!, wish we could say the same about the Hello game collaborators at Sony.

So harassment is the catch all for absolving one of all responsibility / guilt now.

There are more gamedevs spending time on Sup Forums than anyone would like to admit.

Notch began here. Many other small devs did too.

Sup Forums has millions upon millions of patrons every day, and Sup Forums is the fastest board after Sup Forums. It's really not wierd to fimd devs posting and shilling here and proof has been found before.

What a fucking crybaby faggot. He deserves every single drop of vitriol aimed at him.

Why think for yourself when someone else will do it for you?

Because the email can't possibly be from some random just adding to the shitstorm after the tweet thing can it?

The only reason that happened is because Hello Games got people hyped for things that didn't exist.

>continually improve and update
Lol
They've had neatly 3 months and have done and said jack shit

It can. But that's not the point. Whether it could be from some random memeing fuck is irrelevant if we already know that the tweet was also by some random memeing fuck. But if the tweet is real then we know that it wouldn't be below one of their employees to write something like that. And if it's a possibility you can't just dismiss it.

It's a blatant lie. The studio was abandoned. it will never get an update.

Frankly, I don't know. But there's no proof that it was Murray who posted it, I mean the email itself is obviously fake.
