Very good list. Cannot find any problems.
Perfect.
I deduct less for games I don't know/am not familiar with. I deduct more for games I don't like. I didn't say "bad games", just games I don't like.
That said, tear me down for my weebiness please.

YOU THINK MY TASTES ARE SHIT? WELL Thats just your opinion... I always thought X4 sucked and Killer 7 was over rated as hell.
If you're a fan of Returns to Dreamland and Triple Deluxe, its a great game, The Mech is a much better game play twist that Super Copy Abillitys/Hypernova.
And the final boss is amazing.
>live a live as greatly underrated as people act like it is, then?
I can't guarantee that you'll like it to the same extent as I did, but it's definitely worth trying if you have even the slightest interest in JRPGs.
4/4 Fucking hell, I really have to get to Might and Magic games already, I've really been wanting to try them out
Should I start from 6?
6/6 What's To The Moon doing there?
5/5 Max Payne 1 >>> Max Payne 2

6.5/7 +- Oblivion

Forgot my shit
Stahp. I won't evaluate 4x4's. Only 3x3's.
4x4>3x3
>Skull Monkeys.
What do you see in that game outside of the music? The Platforming was boring as hell.
Only for people who can't refine their tastes.
>platforming
>boring as hell
How exactly? I love how the game is designed. The level design is great, plus it's reminiscent of old-school platformers, because of its minimalistic look, and most of the levels having some gimmicks, but still being standard left to right, because the gimmicks are never too gameplay-breaking, in a sense that they are moderate. I'd only exclude the one world where you're riding that one animal or whatever it is.
Bottom right game?
Terranigma, download the PAL ROM and apply the NTSC patch
>6/6 What's To The Moon doing there?
It's one of my favorite games
Why?
The problem with this format is you almost never find any game you have played and also disliked.
Boring taste.
Everyone else, you're OK.
Either start with M&M6 or the M&M4+5 bundle, but 4 and 5 are DOS games so they might be too outdated for some people
only released in Europe and Japan, Euro version runs at 50Hz, meaning it's got slowdown. NTSC patch makes the game run at 60Hz.
you haven't played many retro games have you?
What is any pokemon game after red and blue
I have, I just didn't know Terranigma didn't come out here. I do the same thing with Suikoden 2 because the NTSC version has some battle music missing
I think I'll start with M&M6.
Lol it's also got Annalee's recruitment song missing. so fucking weird the first time I ever played it. She just walked up and stood still while no sound played for a minute and a half.

People tend to disagree with Fallout/Elder Scrolls games, JRPGs, VNs, 3D Sonic games or games with unorthodox control schemes (eg. God Hand).

Yeah that's another one, I have a PAL Suikoden 1 and 2 copy because of this. I had a chipped PS1 way back in the day. Now I just emulate the games.
I mostly play retro games, just never got into Terranigma for whatever reason. The same people made Illusion of Gaia and Robotrek which were both 10/10s for me
Do certain glitches exist in the PAL versions like the guy in forest village who says he has a secret and then gives you a string of fucked up characters?
Or the Sonya cat in the fort?
The gibberish text is 100% not an issue in the pal version.
Can't say I can recall the Sonya cat issue one way or the other.
Oh, so then what is the guy's secret in forest village?
Just done it.
Dude you're asking em to recall stuff from something I haven't played in 10 years. I got no idea
Oh sorry, user. I play the game at least once a year. So I've always been curious but never though to look it up.
Thanks anyway. You're a cool dude.
3.5/5
kinda iffy.

Is the new Kirby really that good?

get rid of that furshit though

9/9 supreme taste
...
is the bottom right FE? Then 8/9 Shovel Knight is shit
I plan to do a total replay of all the Suikoden sometime in early spring. Just to refresh my memory, That and the wild arms games. Just did all the BoF games a few months ago.
Genealogy of the Holy War, yeah
>all N64 games
ok
is New Vegas just a 3x3 meme? I played it and it was the same boring tedious shit as Fallout 3.
>3.5
Which one is the 0.5?
9/9, N64 was GOAT
Some people love shit games just look at FF or Pokemon
Hell yeah man. I'm so I feel ya there. I fucking love BoF 3 and 4 and even Dragon Quarter.
4/4
>muh role-playing
>muh lore
>muh different builds
Same shitty gameplay as FO3, some people have no standards for good gameplay.
It's not that one game is a .5, it's just how i'd rate the list.
SA2 is the low point though.
>literally the facebook "gamer" normie starter pack
I remeber not liking 3/4/DQ but after replying I think I like 3 the most and DQ while being very different was cool in it's own way. 1 and 2 still hold up though and I wish capcom would make a real BoF6, I mean what happened to the people that made these games? They can't all be dead?
They've all been split up/died/moved to work on mobile projects
We'll never have BoF the way it was ever again.

Man can still dream. I remeber being oddly sad when I beat DQ. I spent so much time playing the BoF games and then just ran out of em.
It's sad. I even got really bored one time and wrote up a prototype for a breath of fire fighting game I wanted to make in Mugen. I was that desperate for anything new BoF.
>How different is Divine Divinity from Original Sin?
Haven't played Original Sin, but I do know that Origin Sin is turn-based, and Divine Divinity is an ARPG, so it is probably pretty different.
Give the game a try, you won't regret it, it's fucking fantastic.
8/8 I think Aria of Sorrow is better than SotN, although both are fantastic
What are your top 3 missions from Hitman 2, Hitman Contracts and Hitman: Blood Money (separately, top 3 for each game)?
Yeah really bummer, but man we still got 1-5 and the memories of our first time playing them. I was 10 when the first game came out. I still remember sitting in my bedroom with the warm glow of the CRT lighting my face, sipping on ecto cooler.

About 2/3rds through OS, not really feeling it. Hopefully Divine is much better.
I love SotN's visuals and music, and I liked the level design a bit better, but yeah they're both 10/10 games.
Top 3 Hitman missions:
Hitman 2:
Invitation to a Party
St. Petersburg Stakeout
Basement Killing
Contracts:
Meat King's Party
Beldingford Manor
Traditions of the Trade
Blood Money:
A New Life
House of Cards
Murder of Crows
SotN definitely is god-tier when it comes to visuals.
>those picks
My fucking nigger, except I didn't like Murder of Crows too much.
Beldingford Manor is my favorite mission in the series.
Might as well post my top 3:
>Hitman 2
Invitation to a Party
Basement Killing
Death of Hannelore
>Hitman: Contracts
Meat King's Party
Beldingford Manor
Traditions of the Trade
>Blood Money
Curtains Down
You Better Watch Out
A House of cards
Man, I wish Contracts had less Hong Kong missions, it would probably have been the best in the series if it wasn't for that. Blood Money's AI is too stupid, and Silent Assassin's is too brutal.
I'm a sucker for well drawn 2D spritework, which is why I love SotN and SF3. Your Hitman picks are solid. Wasn't a huge fan of Curtains Down, You Better Watch Out is a close 4th on my Blood Money list.
If Contracts had BM's graphics and slight gameplay improvements (e.g. fiber wire not alerting, improvised weps) it would probably be the best in the series. It nailed the atmosphere and dark humor of the series so damn well, most notably in the Meat King's Party.
>It nailed the atmosphere and dark humor of the series so damn well, most notably in the Meat King's Party.
Ditto, it's the darkest game in the series, its OST is the darkest too. The first half of the game is amazing, a shame they overdid it with the Hong Kong missions, but the game was rushed after all. I still enjoyed the Hong Kong missions, but compared to the previous ones, they were disappointing. Too short and not a lot of options to kill your targets.
