Not me, i'm a newfag.

But I already own Chroma Squad, user
>3 75%-off deals on well-received games
>2 50%-off deals on AAA games that released within the last two years
>Also weren't received terribly
>Valve has added more, smaller sales throughout the year
I bought the Penumbra collection, Deadly Premonition (with OST), and the Wolf Among Us for $11.24.
Just because you don't see the games you want on sale doesn't make the whole thing shit.
I miss flash sales though.
it might as well have been called Super Hexagon sale because it's the only game people choose
I'm sure it's still good if it's babbies first sale and you're happy to buy ancient stuff at above-average-prices but otherwise it's mediocre as fuck.
>The Evil Within $7.49
Gonna buy that shit right now
>GBP
Fuck
I literally have a sealed retail copy I bought for £3 that I haven't opened.
Vampire the Masquerade worth it?
>owns90% of steam library
>waaah why sales so shit
I only own like 20% of it and there's literally hundreds of games I'd buy if the prices were actually good.
Well yeah, it literally always goes to like 90% off and fags will choose whatever has the highest discount, or whatever's flavor of the month.
Don't bother, Troika won't see a penny and Acti's already made enough money off sitting on the game.
Just pirate the piece of shit if you're that desperate to waste your time.
When I didn't own every game.
I hope more people buy DbD, but not the DLC so I don't have to deal with Mike Myers music every game.
I see God Eater 2 is half off. How is that and how well does the online work? I've only played monster hunter (hated it) and Freedom Wars (liked it). Never played a GE game before.
They aren't garbage. You just have all of the games you badly want already.
Games aren't garbage.
Discount are
If you liked Freedom Wars you'll probably get a kick out of it as long as you weren't attached to the hub area of Freedom Wars. Like Monster Hunter, the hub area is really small in God Eater. Also you don't get the grapple hook thing, but thankfully God Eater is similar to Freedom Wars in that it
>has a good working lock-on mechanic
>has speedy attack animations
The online is passable. Its been known to drop people's connections at random, but you should be able to get several games in with people.
There aren't a whole lot of people playing the game online though; the best you can hope for is for there to be one open party to join in multiplayer at any given point in time. Its better if you have other friends who have the game to ensure you have people to play with.
i feel like i'm throwing money down the drain buying steam games or any sort of non-phsyical things.
spending REAL money for imaginary digital things.
>Hey do you remember a time before digital distribution and you had to pay 40 dollars and upwards for a release made within the year or year before? Now the games that are on sale are at most 20 euros/dollars if they're newer releases. Hell you cry when you see 75 percent off.
Jesus fucking Christ the crybabies these days. What do you want the developers to allow all their games to be on sale 95 percent off and buy AAA titles for a dollar. It's like you faggots want the entire steam catalog for a weeks salary. Your never going to catch up to your entire backlog like that you greedy fucks.
Other thing I forgot to ask. Is it better played with a control or mouse+keyboard?
You didn't - there were tons of cheap rereleases of PC titles by dedicated publishers, plus second hand was still a thing even on PC for the longest time.
Also, titles were LESS EXPENSIVE then than they are now, when they're generally on par with consoles despite the lack of license fees.
Its better with a controller but its perfectly functional with a keyboard and mouse, so much so that you can play it either way and enjoy yourselves. Since you use a gun, in some ways the mouse makes aiming better, so you might even find yourself preferring keyboard and mouse. Bamco did a good job on the controls; you shouldn't have a problem either way.
There just aren't a lot of worthwhile games coming out anymore and sSteam is so full of half-finished trash for YouTube that they end up being the only thing showing up.
The quality control on Steam is so low, I practically just use PSN to browse for what would be a worthwhile game and then see if it's also on Steam, which it is a good portion if the time.
The heyday of Steam is coming to twilight.
>buy physical disc
>disc gets lost or damaged
>can't use it, have to get another one by either buying it or waiting for customer service
>buy game on steam
>hard drive gets fucked
>can just re-download the game with no questions asked
inb4 just don't let your discs get lost/scratched, life happens
>buy physical disc
>have physical item
it is in human nature to desire physical items over conceptual items
Flash sales and the refund policy made that impossible
Are you kidding? More good games are getting put on Steam then ever. Never before has it been possible to find Spike Chunsoft games and NIS games on PC, and yet now they just keep coming to Steam. Not to mention Tales games, God Eater....Steam is better than its ever been.
I played those games elsewhere, and years before. I bought them again to support these guys, even though fucking Spike didn't bundle the DLC, fucking Christ, but it's still just leftovers of something that should have come out much cheaper anyway.
Harder to find underneath the tons of shit.
It's like going to the world's biggest supermarket and struggling to find Coke under all the shitty budget knock-off brands.
>there will never be another coal event again
I'm also interested in buying it, it is fine to play it solo or the fun is playing online?
Its still fun playing solo. But its MORE fun playing online.
i dont mind the discounts aren't as deep anymore but come on bring back community events and some fun interaction.
>Valve no longer has those flash sales that make you paranoid that if you buy something that is just on sale you might be missing out on more savings
>This is somehow bad
Thank fuck they stopped that stupid shit
Except that on any level beyond theory it falls apart. You can "own" the disc, but if the disc ever is damaged or lost, then it holds zero value. Hell, even when you "own" the disc, 9 times out of 10 it contains nothing but an install file for Steam and the CD key.
Physical ownership had its day back before digital was feasible, but nowadays it's been undermined. Buying physical provides no more value than digital.
i made a list. 3 sp fps games and 1 fnaf
Last good sale was Winter 2011. Prove me wrong.
why can't walking dead be on sale on GOG. I want the game but don't wanna support those seattle jews and that neckbeard boss of valve.
...
Agreed. It was cool to participate in sales but it felt really bad to buy something then have it go on flash sale.
Should I even get anything?
gog has season sales and sleepless sales, wait for one of those
Valve's idea of "fun interaction" typically isn't, though.
>hey guys we made this BLATANTLY rigged race event but you should throw lots of gold into the Steam Market buying stupid bullshit to advance YOUR TEAM's place!
>hey guys were made this gay-ass clicker game that runs like shit and DDoS'd Valve's own servers because we're smart like that. isn't this fun?
Coal Event was fun. And the event before that actually awarded you for PLAYING GAMES and earning CHEEEEEEEVEs in them.
The glory days of Valve are over
No don't support the kikes that run valve. Add to that they don't give a shit about single player gamers. They'll cater to DOTA and CSGO microtransactions but shit on us singleplayer gamers. Let them burn in hell. Buy your games on GOG and let the jews fuck themselves.
threadly reminder that Doom is -67% on Instantgaming (legit site)
I just bought the entire Serious Sam franchise for $9.99, it's usually $99.99.
>valve intellectuals
>Buy your games on GOG
>buy your games from abandonware thieves who've recanted on half the advantages they had over Steam
Might as well just buy from G2A.
they need to create events and community features that revolve around playing video games and just having fun. if they can sink 8 gorillion dollars into vr they can spend a little on hiring some dudes to think up some fun stuff to do with sale.
the monster game was at least fun even though it was automated in the end
Everything I want is out of stock on that site.
>kr
>GOG
>don't support kikes, support SJWs instead
No.
It's worth $3.75 to play the game, yes. It's quite good.
Like said though, the developer won't see the money so might as well pirate it.
>abandonware thieves
I sense a butthurt ignorant steamfag who only buys from steam. There's good old dos games for free on GOG and if you do decide to buy DOS games on GOG they work instantly with no extra work needed. And besides they focus a lot on newer releases and games that aren't abandonware these days. So go fuck yourself.
What's yer Steem user?
>deadly premonition is only $2.50
Worth it?
Y/N?
>RAISES PAW
>buy your games on GOG
But none of the games I want are on GOG
.>GOG SJWS
nigga wtf are you talking about. Please explain yourself
no
DO NOT buy dead space
seriously, I went to try this piece of shit game (i got it on a humble bundle) the other day and I couldn't even get thru a door cause some game-breaking bug wouldn't allow me, there was a fix around it that involved me playing on 30 fps. Plus the controls are shit, if you really want it be sure to have a 360 controller
This sale's been alright for picking up a few little indie titles i'd been meaning to get. I bought Shelter 1&2, Costume quest,Odallus and the two original Abe's Oddysee games and it didn't even run me £10
Fuck yeah
Dead Space 2 is excellent
FEAR is a wonderfully designed shooter, just don't go in looking for spooks
>Salt and Sanctuary
Drop that shit and you're good to go, Dr. Zaiuss.
They're never going to do anything fun again. The clicker bullshit kept crashing their servers, the race was a smokescreen for worsening the discounts, and the coal system was fucked by day 1 by ruskies and alt farmers. They've learned that no matter what, people will either fuck their system up so no one can buy stuff or complain about a lack of stuff and still buy things.
>repackage abandoned DOS games from private trackers
>add on automatic "run in compatibility mode" that every copy of Windows since 98 has had
>charge $10 a pop for it
As for new stuff, all they get is shitty indie games that even Steamfags don't touch. You're better off using GMG or G2A or literally any Steam key reseller than GOG.
just bought, will i be spooked?
Oh boy, this game aged like milk. Kinda sad.
I'd drop Oxenfree for Divinity personally.
Caribbean is a questionable choice too but if you are fan of M&B and this dev games then may be.
> muh drm
They didn't want Edge Simulator 2015 (Hatred) on their store front, therefore they're apparently now SJWs
the second DLC for FEAR was the only one that put in effort to be spooky.
I wish they had done more stuff like that in the base campaign whenever Alma began to fuck with your head desu
>implying I even buy games
GOG used to be good, before they became a repository for shit indie titles and started pushing Galaxy/that crossover thing from Steam.
both fear xpacs were so terrible they were retconned as alternate realities and fear is way more sci fi than spooky.
>that crossover thing from Steam
Are you seriously telling me that them giving you copies of games you own on Steam on their storefront is a bad thing?
is dead rising 3 fun
just looking to kill some zombies
>there are people who prefer having shit deals instead of flash and daily deals because it means they don't have to check the site twice a day
no. play 1, 2, and otr.
Let it go user normies won
It's worse than 2, don't bother.
it's not fair
Daily deals and flash deals were shit. You shouldn't need to continuously check a service and waste your time over a designated sale period to save money
If you have them on Steam and why would you want the same game on GOG without a nice client as Steam? It's 2016 and Steam is the winner
Both expansion packs were great to me but mostly because you could open doors with melee, and by extension do a slo-mo bicycle kick through a door. Shit was cash
Do the stalker games have online? If so, is it fun and alive?
did i make the right choice?
FEAR collection for 13$ is alright
you made the only choice you could
no they never did
Because it's nice to have easy access to a DRM-free version of the game you can throw on your external and give to friends?
Wait...How is FEAR 3 fucking 3.7 gb when FEAR 1 and 2 are 7.4 and 14.4.
The big autumn steam sale is on Nov 25 retard.
CoP used gamespy for its multiplayer mode, but it's as dead as gamespy is.
Why did you ask?
