Can we have a Crash Bandicoot thread? Just finished Crash of the Titans and what the fuck was that piece of shit? Is Mind over Mutants any better? Worth playing if my goal is to play through the whole series?

It's shit, but better than COTT and shorter too.

>my goal is to play through the whole series
I'm not gonna try to dissuade you for that, or shit on you, but I wanna know why?
I loved Spyro and Crash as a kid. The moment I touched a non ND/Insomniac game in the series I knew something was up and never played the rest of the games in the series. Even as a kid I knew enough to not want to play them.
Why did you set this goal for yourself?
He doesn't talk in the game. Why the fuck does he talk in the show?
How is it difficulty wise? COTT felt more frustrating than it should, that Uka Uka boss was annoying as fuck.
I don't mind for a challenge but Twinsanity really pissed me off and I just want to complete my journey with Coochie in peace.
>Why did you set this goal for yourself?
About 2 years ago I started catching on with whatever classic beloved game series I missed and I took habit to play pretty much every mainline game if only to know what's all the fuss about. Considering Crash games are pretty short I thought why the hell not go for the full thing? It's the PS4 remake that got me interested in the series.
And by the way Wrath of Cortex is pretty decent.
Wrath of Cortex was the last Crash game I played. I didn't understand what a developer was as a kid, but when I played it something just felt off. Not sure what, but it did. Maybe I'm being too harsh on it though. I should replay it someday and see if it's as bad as I thought it was.
I can't talk about the rest of the series, but since this is a crash thread what was your experience with the ND trilogy? I'm a huge crash fan and the PS4 remake has me more hyped than any other game I can think of right now. Replaying the crash games is why I bought my PS3 back in 2011.
>Wrath of Cortex is pretty decent.
HA
>long as fuck loading times
>bizarre assets (LOOK AT THESE MOTHERFUCKING TREES)
>floaty mechanics literally worse than the original first game
>more gimmick levels than original third game
This game is literal dog shit and if you think it's decent I'd hate to think what your overall taste in vidya is like
I didn't like 1, mostly because of the retarded save system and controls that didn't feel very precise. Also it's a little bit too simple design and gameplay wise.
2 was pretty good, fixed everything wrong with the 1st one and added tons of new stuff. I think I like it the most.
3 was obviously a step ahead in terms of almost everything but the excessive amount of mini games can be annoying. By the last world I was "oh fuck, another shitty plane section".
Overall the original trilogy is pretty good, It holds up very well. I don't feel meme'd at all. To be honest I didn't enjoy it very much in the begining but warmed up to it and now I'm pretty hyped for the remakes. Also Coochie is a cruely underrated video game character.
Never played 1 myself. 2 was great, though I do like 3 more. I understand you about the minigames, I hate the race one with the motor cycle, but it was the first game I owned for PS1 I think. It's special in my heart.
>famously mute protagonist
just why
CTR>2>3>1>=Twinsanity's potentia>CNC>Twinsanity>>>WoC>>Crash of the Titans>>>> Mind over Mutant
This is a good list actually. I haven't played Tag team racing and I see it isn't on your list though, how is it?
Not that user but the platforming sections in TTR are more interesting than the racing itself.
The racing boils down to tagging with someone in the first 5 seconds then untagging in the last 5 seconds to win every single race.
Whoa at least give the Twinsanity team some credit they came close with their Crash sadky they got folk rushing them to meet crappy deadlines
At least we got a good soundtrack from it
Indeed and one of the best iteration of Cortex too.
Fish?
Played COTT when I was younger cause my mom picked it up for me thinking I'd like it cause it's Crash and stuff
The game isn't THAT bad except for the butchered characterization
Also random enemies dialogues are CRAZY good. Like they really worked hard on the writing and dubbing useless stuff just for the laughs. That had to be said.
Twinsanity made me rage quit at first as well. I came back to it after a year and breezed through the levels I thought were hard.
Do I have news for you friendo
My first Twinsanity Rage Quit came in the form of the hiding behind the reeds so the tribesman doesn't spot you.
I generally suck at stealth and that shit sucks.
Again in the school was a killer as well.
What the fuck, man.

The Crash 1 title theme in the BGM is a nice touch, though. Gotta give credit where it's due.
