How did we go from THIS

How did we go from THIS

To THIS?!

You fucked up and clearly showed in your filename that the first picture is modded

Show vanilla Skyrim autist

By removing the ugly piss filter.

Tbh I don't give a shit that it doesn't measure up to modded versions of vanilla skyrim since it's just a base and a much improved one at that since this base allows much greater moddability

Who gives a shit either way it's skyrim it's 2016 move on

That wasn't an accident. Modding is incredibly easy and completely free, so you're a literal retard if you play the original without mods.

But it's an indoor area lit mostly by fire. It's supposed to be comfy, not bright and white.

Yeah I don't really care that much, it's just funny to see how fucking lazy Bethesda is that there are people out there that have made the game better for free and they can't be assed to do a good job of it for a paycheck.

They haven't put any effort into their elder scroll games since Morrowind. And even that was just a couple of people doing all the work.

Posting some more comparisons.

Please note that the draw distance and shadow settings in this are around medium instead of ultra, since I forgot to turn them up and I'm too lazy to go get new screenshots.

...

You are right OP. The remaster does look a lot better than your modded version.

Mod list?

the remastered shot looks better

skyrim modders need to realize that 99% of you have no taste and that your "visual enhancements" to the game are gaudy and don't understand how colors should work.

>That wasn't an accident. Modding is incredibly easy and completely free, so you're a literal retard if you play the original without mods.

then why don't just you wait for texture, meshes, lighting mods to work with SSE?

What are you even trying to prove? Remastered one looks much better and realistic. Your 3rd screenshot of modded vanilla version doesn't even have proper lightning.

You could at least choose the same time of day for your screenshots

Actually the new version is far less mod friendly than the original.

>paying for a game twice to get the same effect you can get the first time around.

Why?

I am, see for the point of this thread.

Pic related

Yeah that one is a pretty bad example of the point I'm trying to make, I got lazy.

It is free.

>shut up and by the game again

If you already had Skyrim Legendary Edition, Special Edition is free.

>paying for a game twice
user, it was for free

btw, try to install opencities to both vanilla and sse, that's when you'll notice the difference. and it will be the same to mods like jk-skyrim or grass-mods

It almost as if they tried to fuck up the game on purpose.

OP you autist, special edition literally just came out. mods are already rolling out, and they'll continue to do so, until eventually SE is the better experience. It has way more potential due to being 64bit.

Only question is if modders can really be bothered anymore with this old shitty game. All your gay ass coloured light mods can't fix what is a boring experience, anyway.

how? it's literally the same shit, pretty big mods like frostfall or lal or the unofficial patch are already avaiable

The point is that a re-release shouldn't need graphics mods to look good. It should already look better.

Plus, you're objectively wrong about it being boring. Install Campfires and Frostfall + a few other realism mods and just spend some time surviving in the wild and you've got comfy simulator 2016.

Might as well go play on of the 100000 other survival early access shitters if that is what you want. They probably have less bugs too.

Oh, and the Special edition has objectively worse sound. I can't link to it because the spam filter keeps getting me, but there is a post about it on /r/games and /r/skyrim. (inb4 le reddit xDd)

Skyrim is comfy though. That isn't a meme, it has great atmosphere.
