does is actually look promising or is it just shills
Trannyposting isn't anywhere near as fun as Toddposting. Step it up Obsidian.
no,njust rpg codex posters being jaded as usual
I have whatever the priciest version is called
No other cRPGs worth a shit on sight until Torment, concept sounds good enough and Obsidian has yet to steer me wrong, so why not?

Art imitating life.
looks interesting and good. Only downer is that they've said that they aimed for a much lower playtime per playthrough at only 20 hours, or 30 if you max it.
>partybased realtime (with pause) combat
I literally don't know a single game where this was fun
It was 45 if you did everything, but yeah, maybe not the game for people who only want to play through it once.
nope, lead game designer said it was 30 on livestream, the one where they talk about stronghold mechanics.
twitch tv/paradoxinteractive/v/97322648?t=05s
>playtime under 50 hours
Dropped.
ahh it's just $30 what a bargain
If you cut out trash mobs on generic maps and pointlessly elongated dungeons and just keep the good parts very few crpgs will exceed 20hrs.
Arcanum, Wasteland 2, and PoE would be prime examples.
I kind of like the combat in Dragon Age: Origins.
I spent over a hundred hours in my first playthrough of BG2.
If the game is good, you don't WANT to cut out anything, even the trash fights.
If the game is shit, then fine. Cut out all the fights and give me my money back.
RPGs can't be 20 hours playtime unless they're highly reactive (doubt this one is).
Reminder that trying to go down the middle, please both good and evil people, and be gray/neutral will ensure you get the worst outcome from both. Pick a side and stick to it!
Wasteland 2 was so god dammed boring with no replay value whatsoever.
Pillars of Eternity was mediocre. I got to the final boss and uninstalled it - I was just tired of playing it and the story was so just barely-there I couldn't even care to finish it.
Path of Exile on the other hand...still playing that.
Seems like there's four mutually exclusive factions, and that your three starting choices will piss off at least one companion each.
Burning down the old dudes library, Getting a guy trapped in his armour, etc.
but PoE was already short for an RPG, jesus fuck these devs
Tyranny seems to be going with the everybody's an asshole theme. Disfavored seem to me slightly bigger edgelords than Scarlet murderhobos and both bigger edgelords than backstabbing oathbreaker rebel scum, but it's all very minor nuances.
From what I've seen so far on streems, the main quest seems to pretty linear, with minor variations depending which edgelords annoy you less and you pick their side for doing the main quest.
thx for reminding m, I'll be sure to pirate it when it comes out l m a o
What? PoE could cut the entire third chapter and it would be better for it.
RPGs should be 50 hours including almost all sidequests (and excluding 100% completion).
PoE was ~35 hours for my first playthrough
35 hours? You have to be kidding. The loading screens alone should be at least 10 hours.
>travel back to town
>load screen
>enter inn
>load screen
>exit inn
>load screen
>travel back to map
>load screen
thanks obsidian
This is literally an ad.
Everyone in this thread is commenting on a fucking ad.
What the fuck is happening to Sup Forums?
Why does it concern you who opened the thread, paid shill or genuinely interested gamer?
If you want to discuss the game, discuss the game.
If you don't want to discuss the game, post your rare pepes, I''m okay with that too.
PoE could cut a lot of shit, It's a 20 hours game stretched to 40
