Rate the souls game from hardest to easiest.
DeS>DaS=DaS2>DaS3>BB
The first one you play>The rest.
Fpbp
DS1>DeS>DS2 ...never played the 2 newer ones
Dark 2
Demon's
Dark 3
Bloodborne
Dark 1
>DeS
>hardest
What the fuck are you memeing about?
Des2 > DaS > Des3 > BB > Des3
Yup
Shrine of Storms is probably the hardest part of any Souls game.
Not true buddy. You've got OP here and I played Demon's second to last.
I can't make any progress at all. The other games are reasonable, but Demon's just seems intent on putting you in the worst situation possible, ESPECIALLY if you play pure melee.
no bonfires, obscure AF mechanics
Woops meant for
Of the ones I've played
BB>DaS2(When it's being bullshit>DaS>Das2(When it's being fair)>Das3
What would be those bullshit moments for 2?
The only part I could think of was that stupid lake area with the knights and mages ganging up on you.
m8 are you from some alternate reality where they made 3 Demon's Souls games instead of 3 Dark Souls?
BB (first half) > SotFS >= DaS1 >= DaS2 > DaS3 >= BB (second half)
TOH >= DaS2 DLC challenge areas > DaS2 DLCs > AotA = AoA
Go back and play Demon's Souls again, It's easy as piss. I almost beat the game without dying once after using all the shit I learned from the other games. Flame Lurker? Brick fucking wall when I played back when it was new, completely rekt him without trying on playthrough again.
Like I said earlier in the thread, I'm playing it now after beating all the other games including AoA. I've finished the first boss in each world and am being completely stonewalled by what comes after (with the exception of Tower Knight).
The game is horseshit if you play pure melee, everything is stacked against you.
DaS was piss easy compared to the later entries. Bosses were far slower and far less aggressive.
Never played DeS so
Orphan/Ludwig/FumeKnight>DaS2>DaS1>DaS3>BB
I dunno i just found DaS2 to be alot more annoying and punishing then any of the others overall.I hated the game and disliked it alot and never replayed it but its difficulty came from annoying factors for me. Regardless its still there and the most trouble i had.
BB is the easiest for me because it plays the most like a full on action game and feels the most fluid. The DLC was rough though. Note that these > basically mean nothing and none of them were notable in the grand scheme of things after playing games like Ninja Gaiden 2 on MNM and DMC games on DMD/Very hard and things like Doom on nightmare. Moderate challenges at best and you should feel bad if Souls games are you peak idea of difficulty done right.
BB > DaS2 SoTFS > DaS2 > DaS3 > DaS >>>>>> DeS
There's no semblance of difficulty in DeS unless you go out of your way to cripple yourself with a million restrictions and repetitively suicide 7 times each world +1 for each boss kill
The games aren't all about the bosses user.
The random fucking dragon in Heide's Tower of Flame
Having to run the Iron Keep gauntlet killing like 20 alonne knights before you're allowed to have another shot at the smelter demon
Shrine of Amana
Scholar of the First Sin edition's tendency to just randomly slap bosses down in areas as regular enemies and add more difficult enemies where they aren't needed (Ogre in Forest of Fallen Giants, Flexile Sentry in Sinner's Rise)
AoA was so fucking easy it was laughable. The DLC areas in themselves were so easy i didn't die once nor to the wolf boss and Friede is the only thing that took a handful of tries. Short and easy. But then again the core game of DaS3 was pretty easy but i expected them to up the ante.
DaS3>BB>DaS2>DaS>Des
unless you mean on a first playthrough in which case it just goes in release order
DS2SotFS>DS>DeS>DS3
Never played DS2 before Scholar, and haven't played BB. They're all challenging except 3, which is totally babby's first Souls game.
I found you to be a reasonable guy until halfway into your post, especially about Bloodborne's fluidity.
Too bad you had to start furiously masturbating about the other hardcore games you've played.
>Masturbating
Nah not even that good at them a passable player at best. I just find it comical Soulsdrones make threads like this for that exact purpose when there is no reason to even compare the difficulty of moderate games at best.
What's the fucking point?
Unless you played the games on release you're playing shit that isn't even hard.
I could have made a thread ranking the difficulty of the Zelda titles; it doesn't mean the series is especially difficult, only that there is a hierarchy within the series itself.
>muh pvp
Shields are for faggots.
des isn't hard, you just remember it being hard because it was the first soulsborne game. even false king is easy compared to many bosses in later games
Rolling is for edgelords.
DeS was the hardest because nobody knew what the fuck we were doing. You were pretty much blind and so was everyone who would otherwise be able to tell you how to git gud.
Other than that any difficulty differences are negligible and going to vary based on builds.
Dark Souls II for me but I think it's because I was completely uninterested in the areas and enemies and just kind of tried to slog through, just wanted to finish it.
DaS was my first.
DaS2>DeS>DaS>DaS3>BB
Not that BB was piss easy mind you, but there's only a handful of bosses that I genuinely found challenging.
I played DeS as my fourth game and I couldn't believe how easy False King was considering how hard everyone hyped him up.
Same here. I found myself frequently rushing through areas and dying because I just wanted to be done with them. I recall butthurt-despawning the enemies on the way to Ruin Sentinels because of how much I fucking hated that runback. Or the entirety of Shrine of Amana. Or Velstadt's arena. Or Huntsman's Copse.
thread switch-up, who's your favorite and least favorite soulsborne boss
fave is old hero, worst is ceaseless
>I recall butthurt-despawning the enemies on the way to Ruin Sentinels because of how much I fucking hated that runback.
Or because you were too retarded to notice the door at the bottom that leads to a pit is a shortcut.
>pre patch shrine of amana
Probably the only time I've gotten frustrated at a souls game
Favourite is probably Orphan. Least favourite huh probably one of the forgettable ones like Covetous Demon (had to look that shit up).
BB > DaS3 > DaS = DaS2 > DeS
Favorite is Lady Maria, least favorite is a tie between Duke's Dear Freja and Centipede Demon.
If you build characters that can tank damage and you have ever considered any part of a Souls game the least bit difficult you are a joke.
Kind of a toss-up between like ten different bosses across the souls games
Maria
Orphan
Gehrman
Ludwig
O&S
T H E C H A M P
Nameless King
Fume Knight
Alonne
Gwyn
Least favorite, totally shit bosses would be the two asylum demon rekins and everything out of the demon ruins and lost izalith in DaS1, Prowling Magus and both Royal Rat bosses in dark souls 2, Crystal Sage in 3, Micolash and Witch of Hemwick in BB
Still not a terribly convenient shortcut. Ladders suck.
But you're clearly a rabid DaS2 defender so logic goes right past your head.
BB>DaS2=DeS=DaS>DaS3
Haven't played the DLC but I really found DaS 1, 2, and Demon's tied for difficulty. Demon's might be considered harder just because it was a lot of people's first Souls game, but looking back at it, it really wasn't all that tough aside from World 5 and Allant.
Pivot stab all the things and if you wanna 2H the Meat Cleaver is really good without worrying about soul/world tendencys
BB > DaS2 > DaS > DaS3 > DeS
I played them in release order.
Bloodborne > DaS > DaS2 > DaS3 > DeS
>DaS=DaS2
>Still not a terribly convenient shortcut.
>shortcut that lets you circumvent every single enemy no problem and get faster to the boss than going all the way around
>hurr durr I'll just despawn every enemy instead, I'm teh intelligent one here eheh amzing logic
God forbid a game asks some sort of minimal intellectual requirement from its players. I bet that's why so many people rank the DLCs lower than the base game here on Sup Forums.
I can't understand how people are finding BB harder than literally BB with shitty slow DS character.
Nothing in DaS3 does damage. Most stuff in BB two-shots you.
The only thing I had trouble with in DeS (other than silly shit like killing Doran when you start the game) is Maneaters. There's no way to cheese them in the fight itself, and you have so little room to maneuver.
Maybe that's my problem with DeS, is I refuse to cheese.
But the only other enemy in the game worth cheesing is Flamelurker. Are you sure you're playing it right? You're not trying to complete each Archstone before moving onto the next, are you?
What? Did we play the same game? Is there some super easy version of the game I'm not aware of?
My hardest boss in all the Souls series was fucking 2cats in the Ivory king DLC. Their delayed paw swipes ruined my shit so hard I was literally tearing my hair off, even though I usually roll fine through most other boss attacks. DS2 was by far the hardest souls game for me.
