What level should I be for the final dungeon? Usually I seem to end JRPGs at about level 70-80, if I don't go for the optional content. But this time, due to unreasonably large cast of playable characters, I'm sitting at levels 40-45 before the final dungeon. Is this gonna be enough?
Can Ultima Weapon+Ragnarok+Master's Scroll carry me through this one? Although I can't have those in all three parties.
I must confess, I really hate how FF VI forces me to use different parties all the time. I prefer games where I can use the same party throughout the whole game.
Leo Butler
I think you'll be fine.
Dylan Moore
Level 35 or so. You are way overleveled and will have no problem beating the game.
Jonathan Diaz
You will be okay
Its more about what skill and party you have instead of level
If you already dual wielding I don't see how you can lose ;)
Colton Price
Oh, really? I just don't feel safe with my characters having only 2-3k HP, when shits like Magic Master and Brachiosaurus casually dealing 6k+ damage to my entire party. Are story bosses in this FF all weak as fuck? I had to restart this game once, because some years ago, when I first tried to finish it, I got compeltely blocked by Atma. Not this time though. I guess, I just learned how to play JRPGs properly. I might or might not have been running from random encounters the last time.
Jose Lee
As long as you have been trying to let people level up holding Magicite that are appropriate for them, you should be fine.
What is your health like? Even at 40 you should be looking at 8000 at the least.
Damage should be hitting max easily enough for the most part. Please don't tell me you aren't using Relm, she's the strongest caster in the game. Her and Strago on separate parties should be one shotting most encounters. Remember to Ozmose your MP back before the final boss. There are real boss fights in the tower, one of them is a pain, the others aren't that bad.
If you fight Demon with good magic users, you should be fine. Watch out for Shrapnel, it's spell power is 120, very powerful, use shell to cut it's damage down or be ready to cast life 3 on your party.
Benjamin Taylor
Magic > levels
You could get to a higher level and power through it, but if you have a nice chunk of magic spells and runic you should be fine.
Dylan Bell
You sound like a faggot who can't play games without having his hand held by guides and being massively overleveled.
Andrew Hall
>2-3k
You fucked up. You should have been giving people people your best magicite to raise HP for the last couple levels.
It's possible to win with HP that low, but you are going to need to abuse shell and life 3 a lot, since Magic is what is going to kill you the most.
Oliver Thomas
You could teach one person per party Ultima, that way you'd have someone with a ton of power on every team. Personally, I'd go with this:
Sabin Setzer Mog Gau
Give the Moogle Charm to Mog and use them to run through the area you sent them to. Sabin is there to murder the boss of that path with Bum Rush, while the others can heal and throw out some attacks or spells.
Edgar Umaro Celes Cyan
Edgar's tools and Umaro's brute force (especially if he has his two unique relics) should be more than enough to get through their part. Celes can provide spell support and Cyan can deal decent damage with his level 1 sword tech.
Locke Terra Shadow Relm
Equip Terra with the Illumina that you get from wagering the Ragnarok at the coliseum. Give Locke the Ultima Weapon and Brave Knife, as well as a Genji Glove and Master's Scroll. He'll deal steady amounts of damage no matter how high his HP is. Terra can attack and use nukes, while Relm can heal and Shadow can.... throw things.
Jose Edwards
Running from most random battles IS playing JRPGs properly. 99% of JRPGs are easy as fuck unless you actively avoid getting exp.
If you're over level 40 at the end of any FF game, you're doing it wrong.
Jacob Watson
I've just been giving people the magicites with new magic to learn. I didn't minmax too much, I was just hoping that the stats they get from leveling up at the meantime, combined with their personal stats growth would be enough. I guess it's grinding time. But still, I can't equip Bahamut on four characters simultaneously, and I'm not sure if there are any good spots for solo grinding.
Robert Baker
>Ultima I haven't even uncursed the shield yet. How fast is learning rate on the Paladin Shield? Please, tell me it's higher than x2.
Colton Hernandez
That's the thing with 6, characters don't gain any stats per level. The only thing that increases with each level are their HP and MP totals.
Justin Murphy
It's 1x.
Easton Jenkins
It doesn't work like that in FFVI. They get stats from equips and Magicite.
Lowest I have beaten the game is level 20 and it is mostly from buying all the MP restoration I can and using the most OP magics in the game as well as certain equipment set ups that make it impossible to die unless hit with Ultima back to back.
Gavin Brown
Also, I haven't been bothering with the coliseum too much, because of the random bullshit and how hard you have to minmax your characters to win something actually worth getting. And I don't like losing unique items, even if that means winning even more powerful items. I just don't. Fuck. Oh well, I guess I'll try it as it is for now. Hopefully I can just nuke down bosses fast enough with whatever few op attacks I've managed to get. I got one Celestriad from those fucking dinosaurs, so at least one of my characters will never have to worry about MP.
Tyler Flores
Most bosses will probably out speed you by a lot and Demon's Shrapnel attack can hit everyone. You won't survive it.
If you want to beat the game, you are going to have to start grinding a good party.
>don't like losing uniques
There are only a few items in the game you can't receive a copy of through Ragnarok's metamorph. Please don't tell me you took the sword instead. It's not that great and Ragnarok could have taught you Ultima.
Relics you want from the Coliseum is Turbo shoes. Permanent haste as well as feather and regen, very nice and you don't have to bet anything you can't replace.
RNG is bullshit, but that's why you send in a character that doesn't have random attacks. Locke is actually one of the best characters for this if you haven't taught him magic. Give him the relic that changes steal into mug and he will probably attack every turn.
Ayden Phillips
You could just send Mog alone to one area. As long as he has the charm equipped, you won't have any random encounters. Then send your best group along a different path and use warp to get out with the loot you get. Repeat the process, only send Mog down a different way to access more of the Tower. If you can make a couple of trips and down the Triad with your best group, you might be alright. It'll take a while, but it's certainly doable. You might want to take out the Goddess first though, as I recall her dropping an accessory that increases your HP by 50%. That might be crucial to your survival against the Demon's Shrapnel attack.
Luis Howard
>There are only a few items in the game you can't receive a copy of through Ragnarok's metamorph. Please don't tell me you took the sword instead. It's not that great and Ragnarok could have taught you Ultima. So can the shield. And I've been told that I should get the weapon specifically if I want to wager it at the coliseum for the strongest weapon in the game. Didn't get that accessory yet. But I'll note this down.
Jeremiah King
If you're talking about the Moogle Charm you need in order to have no random encounters, you'll need to examine the wall that Mog was standing in front of when you found him in the WoR.
Landon Rogers
The final boss was surprisingly easy. A total push over.
Then again, I had the purified cursed shield or whatever on Celes, so Kefka could barely make much damage.
Justin Wood
You are a total faggot for having trouble with this game that most people beat when they were 10 years old.
Just picturing you sitting there with a spreadsheet and not being able to make a single good decision on your own disgusts me. You're probably playing the shitty GBA version too or worse yet the Steam version, because it's obvious you're too much of a pleb to play the original.
John Nelson
>the Steam version I forgot that thing existed
Juan Scott
>GBA version >shitty
Luke Torres
So, what exactly does the +% HP on summons mean? I take it it's not just multiplying your current HP. Is it multiplier to the hidden character's innate HP-per-level growth?
