It will sell over 20 millions in Japan alone and with the rest of the world it will probably be around 50.60 million copies sold which is good amount of fan base for Nintendo because of their insanely high attach rates. Almost none of the Nintendo games on Wii U sold less than 3 million copies some like Mario Kart even sold 7.5 million copies on user base of some 10 million people. Also Nintendo is clearly keeping development costs in check with focusing on cartoony graphics and actual stuff that makes the gameplay better instead of pointless things like VA etc. Zelda Breath of the Wild need to sell only 2 million copies to profit. So with huge attach rates that Nintendo games have and low development costs for games on user base around 50-60 millions Nintendo will be just fine.

Handhelds are dominating Japan even 3DS sold around 25 million copies and Vita sold around 5 million copies. So that's 30 million handhelds sold. This time there won't be Sony handheld so the is less competition and Switch could easily sold 20 million copies in Japan alone.
