Been working through the first three Silent Hill games (the best games ever made) backwards. Just beat 3 and am at Brookhaven in 2, might marathon and beat the rest tonight.

How are the penumbra games? Bought them on sale, do they have spooky monsters?

Not game related, but I went to a uni-party dressed as Tommy Wiseau, downed a bottle of finnish mint-liquor, threw up mushroom-pizza all over my friends floor and bag, made a run for it through an emergency-exit activating the alarm for the entire building, ran home, and forgot my house-keys and wallet so I couldn't get in until the day after.

I got this told to me from a friend, since I didn't remember shit.

Condemned 2 and Silent Hill 2, both for the first time.

Condemned 2 was really good until half way then it went kind of crazy.

Silent Hill 2 was very good altough the puzzles got a bit tedious at times.

Finally went ahead and started playing Silent Hill 2, gotten as far as to the society/prison.
I don't really know what people are on when they say SH2 is the best game in the series, SH1 blows it out of the water by far both in immersion, atmosphere and sound design, even the cluncky controls felt better and more natural.
Still hoping SH2 will pick up though, but every encounter with pyramid head has simply been underwhelming or directly anti-climatic.

I played Penumbra Overture for the first time. I kept beating faggot dogs that respawn when you enter en area with a hammer, and finally got tired of this bullshit game when I couldn't run a fuse through gunpowder because I had missed some stupid bottle of chemicals. Standing on a crate and killing a fucktard dog with a hammer got really old when it just immediately respawns after death.

Playing through Fatal Frame 1, only got halfway through because I was busy with exams and was also more interested in my SotN replay. It's a neat B-tier game, hope to finish it this week.
