Do you receive a steam key? Or will it be a microsoft "app"... I don't see dead rising 3 in the app store, so that gives me hope.

I am beginning to think $5 is not worth this.

The catch is that you buy DR3.

Save your money and buy a better game.

The catch is you have to use their god awful store.

>he catch is that you buy DR3.
>Save your money and buy a better game.

It looks fun and I've never played any of the prior games.

It really looks like a WYSIWYG situation. I am not looking for shakespear.

What's so bad about it?

It's a fun game, but only bad in reference to DR1 and 2. They're much better.

It's worth it for $5, user

Dead Rising stopped being good with DR3

Ya didn't play the first two.

It's basically a 'Just Cause' situation

Just Cause 3 is terrible IMO, but Just Cause 2 was amazing. If I played them in the opposite order I'd feel the inverse.

the dlc mode

The page says "available on Xbox One" so I'm guessing it's the Xbox One version, not the Steam version.

I saw that... but then I saw this

Is this just a digital copy vs physical?

Can't you play xbone games on PC if you purchase them? Gears of War comes to mind.

Funny shit, I just download (torrent, duh) this game today in the morning. I played it just for testing, and it looks kind of fun. First DR I ever played though.

Some games, if you purchase on one platform, you get it for free on the other.

I got Killer Instinct at launch. When it came out on PC, it was available for free with all the content I purchased

This thing about DR3 is that it's more sandbox fun, and wacky weapons, but more serious story. Fluid movement and such.

Dead Rising 1 and 2 were much more japanese in design. A lot harder, more grindey, more unlockables, stiffer movement, goofier bosses.

I think you just sold me on the game.

Go for it. I liked 1 and 2 more, but that didnt stop me from investing a ton of my time into DR3. I beat it 3 times. It's just a different type of game.

Never played 1 or 2. How's the time limit in this? I don't wanna feel rushed.
Also ever play state of decay?

Time limit is extremely lenient. You have more than enough time to do everything. There's Nightmare Mode, however, that lowers your availability window to make things a lot harder.

The time limit only limits you from side missions. I normally do all the story missions available at a specific time (only about 2-4) and then goof off/do side missions while waiting for the timer to run out enough to activate the next few missions.

Only once did I feel rushed, and it was at the end of the game, and part of the game's design. It intentionally gives you little time, but I never failed that part before.

In DR2, I dont think I ever ran out of time for anything ever.

Got it. Hate timed missions in general, but if it's lenient I'll give it a shot. I was watching some reviews on it last night to help me decide. Think Ima go with it. It's too cheap to pass on.

DR3 really is a fun game, and the gameplay itself is pretty good. The only complaint that it can seem a bit too easy at times, leveling up is stat based this time, and the main character can be pretty whiney.

I don't mind easy if i get to mindlessly fuck around. Besides it's only $10, can't go wrong with that. And I also want something to play on my xbone.
