They didn't hold a 2012 blizzcon because they had nothing to reveal true, but it wasn't because the previous year didn't announce anything. 2011 revealed MoP, and a ton of Diablo III and SC2 expansion news. It also had the GSL finals hosted there which was pretty fucking hype.

Warcraft 4 with the Star Trek reboot method, everything that happened after Warcraft 3 ie WoW is off in its own universe.

The WoW story was pretty bad the whole way through and having all the major plot characters be toppled over baddies is pretty weak.

Warcraft 4 with the factionalism of 3 would be great with the scourge fighting the legion fighting the night elves fighting the orcs fighting the humans with Illidan and his crew as wild cards would be great.
