>Have to spend $60/year on paid online

It's just as expensive as PC, if not moreso.

You're right
Console makers release powerful-ish machines at a loss, and make up the profits on the overpriced games and other proprietary extras.

Except Nintendo. Their consoles are toasters so they make a profit on them.

Where in the PS Store is the Pro upgrade? I'm actually curious about this now.

>>Games are $60/each and rarely go on sale

False, games drop price quickly, i think you can get Bloodborne, inFamous etc for 20$

Also Flash Sales.

You act like anything console related don't go on sale. The PS4 can be bought for $230 now with games included. The Pro will eventually drop as well. Console games are always on sale...and I have never paid $60 for PSN and I've been a member for 3 years. They get as low as $35 frequently.

>but the sales you guys
I can get everything for free on the PC.

But...

Can you get Bloodborne and RDR2?

>muh pirate argument
kys

>quickly
>Like that one 2014 game

Oh boy...

I don't need to because I have many other games to play instead.
you first

WHERE IS MY BATTLEFIELD 1, TITANFALL 2 CRACK YOU FUCK

WHERE

>Where did this "console gaming is cheaper" meme come from?

redditors
normies
sonygaf

You can get every ps4 game for free if you steal too

>just as expensive
>$300 ps4 + bloodborne
>build a pc
>oh it's gonna be shit unless you're willing to spend $2000 because you're going to do everything on it
>broken multiplats

>tfw psn flash sales are now better than steamsales

>oh it's gonna be shit unless you're willing to spend $2000 because you're going to do everything on it

this is what consoletards believe

I never have to deal with bullshit when I want to play a game.

Have fun troubleshooting and figuring out how to get your games to run pcfags

Consoles are for those who are too dumb to build a pc.

>put the square in the square hole
>too dumb to do this
Kek, consoles are for people who want working games. Been on consoles since NES and never once got a fucken BSOD, never once got ERROR NO EEPROM, never once had my GPU melt due to faulty heatsinks, never once had my motherboard fry itself. Stay cucked PCuck.

>Buy PS4 in 2013 for $400
Why?
The thing in your picture costs $299 officially.
>Games are $60/each
Only big publisher AAA products. There are many AA and Indie offerings at much lower prices.
>and rarely go on sale
You have cheap imports, used copies, rentals and additionally digital sales. You can play a $60 game before release day for as low as almost $0 by simply reselling it after playing it.
>Have to spend $60/year on paid online
Online functions work without extra payment.

bloodporn is shit like DS series, and RDR2 most likely will come on pc year maybe 1,5 year after release

>I can't play anything else because I can't afford it but I'm still going to pretend I'm better than everyone

Wrong, you cant play online MP without psplus. Stay. Cucked.

>you cant play online MP without psplus
That's also false.

Who said you had to upgrade? PS4 will still run new games like it always has. Pro simply runs them at a better speed.

PC components depreciate a lot faster. Your high end part that cost you $600 would just be mid tier 2 years later, and shit 4 years later.

>Buy console for 300 dollars
>Play Japanese games for 5-10 years

I don't need a PSN sub obviously. As for game prices: I don't mind paying for good games. But you're an idiot if you think PSN doesn't have sales. Also there are used games if you're a nigger.

He's a PC fag. He has to upgrade. It's like a disease for those people.

You can play online multiplayer without PS+. You just can't play all multiplayer games without it.

Not him but my 4 years old computer is still doing fine thanks to console limitations.

Lmao quite different from reality. Games are going to work fine 99% of the time and if they don't almost all problems will be fixed with the first steam community/forum post that comes up on google.

When console games have issues on the other hand, all you can do is wait for the next patch from devs that don't give a shit now that they have their money.

You realise that mid tier will still be performing better than consoles right? Generally people upgrade their PC's every 4 years or so when they get to the point of being on par with consoles.

It used to be true before steam sales and paid online services for consoles.

I upgrade as little as possible. A mid range (when new) gaming pc can last 6 years or more of you don't mind lowering the graphics.

>When console games have issues on the other hand, all you can do
is getting a refund.

Could do that quicker and easier on PC with Steam refunds

Only for two hours.
If you run into a gamebreaking bug 2/3 into the campaign, you're fucked with digital shit.

Give me one single example of that. They also do give out refunds past those limits with a valid reason

Oh okay I always see PC gamers talk about graphics. I sometimes wonder if they even LIKE playing videogames.

I have an old laptop for VNs and the rare Japanese PC game, so technically I too am a PC gamer I guess.

Don't buy PSPro then?
>buy PS4 for four hundred dollars
>five years later
>game comes out
>can still play it

Just like RDR right?

It's obviously more expensive, and offers lower performance with zero ability to customize or maintain.

Imagine a world where console exclusive games didn't exist; what is your platform of choice in that world?

That's your answer for which console is actually superior to the others.

Ha still use my PS3. Cold Steel 2 was released last month.

Not every multiplat is a bad port.

It was from the time where 3d graphics cards were just coming onto the market and quickly were being upgraded so you literally couldn't run some games without a newer graphics card. Nowadays, even the cheap onboard graphics chip can still run new games although at lower settings.

P-Pc master ruce 4ever! Unite pc bros!
we are the TRUE and honest gayming race, all others are peasants and inferior because TB said so!!!

Me on the left

> My PC cost over $2500, admittedly it's a beast.
> Staying with my original ps4 until it breaks and I need a new one. PS3 lasted 8 years.

Come on man, just as expensive my ass. If you have a shit PC, yes it is, but then you miss all the exclusives that PC doesn't have.

Both serve a purpose, and yes, when I have a HD TV and this PS4 breaks I will buy a pro, because PS4 has some solid games and all my friends are on console these days.

I can only speak for Sony, but their sales seem to come late in the life cycle of the console - or at least they did for Ps3 and Ps4.

I buy PC games for 8 or 9 bucks all the time.

Yup, and now PC is an afterthought that is often ignored, when it was once the primary platform.

Well played pirates.

Say what you want, but before piracy went insane and a bunch of devs loudly complained about what they perceive to be as lost sales, PC was king. Now it's secondary. It is what it is.

the "i dont need to play classic genre defining games because i have all these vomit one play indie games instead" meme

>have pc
>have PS4
>have Wii U
>have 3DS
>have old original modded xbox
>just get whatever vidya and the platforms I want

This is true. Requires more running though, and you'd need to do it hundreds of millions of times to get the devs to switch back to PC.

>genre defining games
>on the platform with less genres
lol

I've had a few issues with consoles here and there, but nothing will ever compare to the ctds on PC, or upgrading windows and finding out half my shit doesn't work anymore.

It doesn't count because you don't pay it all at the same time. You only have to pay $400 up front, the rest is like a small monthly fee which anyone can pay so it's cheaper.

Only a year after release? Well shit, let me start counting down the days just so i can play it for the first time after everyone I know has finished it at a slightly higher resolution. Maybe. If they release it on PC. Which they never did with the first one.

Yes, consoles are cheaper because they're future proof for an entire generation.

OP I love my PC but upgrading my video alone cost more than a ps4.

PC has a few PS4 doesn't, but when you pit bloodborne or the new god of war or tlou against dwarf fortress or the latest indie 8 bit games, quantity doesn't always win.

Whole lotta shit on the pc library recently.

Games are where it adds up the most. PC generally pay 50-70% of what consoles do for the same games. Even less if waiting for sales

I got the first two infamous games for a dollar and change a few months ago from GameStop.

What's your point? You can get anything for scraps regardless of the system when a store is trying to clear stock

>PS+ $60/year

-Get Throwaway email
-Make Throwaway account
-Set that account as primary.
-Get free PS+ trial.
-All other accounts on the system benefit from the dummy account's PS+ trial.
-Play with regular main account.
-Rinse and repeat when PS+ trial expires.

My Idiot FIFAfag roommate does this sometimes, it's a hassle to set up. Also PS+ it's just 50$
amazon.com/1-Year-PlayStation-Plus-Membership-Digital/dp/B004RMK5QGF2P games like DCUO, Warframe, Warthunder, Blacklight retribution Doesn't require PS+ and there are some that only requires MMO subscription like Elder Scroll Online and FF XIV. Basically all games that maintains their own servers and handles their own matchmaking.

Throaway only works in JPN and is system bound. Do i too many times and you get locked out of it lmfaoooooio

Delete this fucking thread, NOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!

You waived all your rights by agreeing to the digital distribution ToS. So you're just begging for a patch or for monetary compensation, but you are not entitled to it.
While with a broken game on a disc it's pretty simple: Game software on disc is broken means the same as disc is broken by law and you're entitled to a replacement/refund. Also proof a broken console game is pretty simple, while on PC devs can always blame your toaster.

It was cheaper in the PS2 days because you literally had to buy one game and a few memory cards and you would never have to spend another cent on anything except DVD-Rs which are like $15 for 100.

Are you using the same IP?

>being a virtual nigger

>Where did this "console gaming is cheaper" meme come from?
It used to be a long time ago. That and they had real exclusives and tons of games. That's not true anymore

Console prices saw basically no inflation since the 6th gen, while PC gaming got more expensive with each generation.

Right under where you can download more RAM.

Bro, I spent like $600 on mine, granted it does cost more, but the experience is so much better. I'm sure if you wait for sales on newegg you could get it cheaper than what I got.

Certainly the big budget games today seem to use console as lead platform.

Doesn't help that PC gaming is a lot like console gaming today. PC gamers use the same controllers and old PC genres like racing, strategy games and simulators are mostly gone.

PC is just about playing console games on higher settings.

>Have to spend $60/year on paid online
>Have to
yeah no

Which might be worth it for some. I started gaming a long time ago, anything above 480p looks passable if the game is fun.

Sub-$300 PS4 killer (doesn't include combo deals, mail-in rebates, etc.; DOES include shipping cost)
pcpartpicker.com/list/VZqzZ8

>strategy games and simulators are mostly gone.
No, not really

Xcom 2, Total War games, Shadowrun developers, Battlefleet Gothic, countless farming/tractor/whatever sims, we got a few Rollercoaster sims coming out, etc.

Maybe it just seems that way because PC gets everything now so the strategy/sims are diluted?

>Sub-$300 PS4 killer
Let's compare:
>"PS4 killer" - PS4 Slim
>3.8 Ghz Bulldozer 4core - 1.6 GHz Jaguar 8core
>8 GB GDDR5 system RAM - RAM missing
>320 GB HDD - 500 GB HDD
>2 GB GDDR5 GPU - 8 GB GDDR5 GPU
>6x Bluray drive - ODD missing
>Bluetooth 4.0 - BT missing
>2x USB 3.0 - USB 3.0 missing
>DualShock 4 Controller - Controller missing
>802.11ac Wi-Fi - Wi-Fi missing
>Playstation OS - OS missing
Your PS4 killer doesn't work, because it has no system RAM and no OS. LOL

PS4 - $300

Gives you access to:
-Bloodborne
-Persona 5
-Disgaea 5
-Gravity Rush 2
-The Last Guardian
-Uncharted 4
-Ratchet & Clank
-Nioh

And to other multiplats:
-The Witcher 3
-NieR: Automata
-Gravity Rush
-The Last of Us

And a shitload of indies:
-Hotline Miami 1 & 2
-Bastion
-Transistor
-Journey
-Flower
-The Witness
-Inside

That seems like a nice deal to me.
>inb4 ALL OF THOSE ARE SHIT LMAO
