Why is this game OST so criminally underrated?

Because it's hard to convince people to give this game a chance considering how boring XIII was.
It's just so generic. That's really all there is to it, these games are known for one theme and about a dozen variations on that.
Or are you talking LR's OST in particular?
I hated the NPC design. For fucks sake, they're NPCs but - at least make them look like normal people

Reminder that XIII has the best Final Fantasy soundtrack.

Name me another OST that has rock, bossa nova, jazz fusion, orchestral, pop, ambient, solo guitar, solo piano in it.

>Doesn't link based New Bodhum or Heart of Chaos

>But it's the best 3d platformer of the decade on WiiU please tell me why it's bad
All you did was set the conditions and felt the need to shove things in certain boxes.
Isn't it telling you ask me why a song is generic if you're the one coming up with all these descriptors implying generality? 'Solo guitar' and 'solo piano' aren't even fucking things you dunce.
I bought this game but am upset by its online only req. Is it worth it desu? I enjoyed 13/13-2. Should i reinstall it and finally play it?
In other words you can't, also every Final Fantasy and most games use leitmotifs.
Neck yourself.
>Is it worth it
You already bought it so what kind of question is that? But yes, it's good.
It's worth it for this guy right here.
the other 2 in the series were better, that's why
>online only req
What?
When i bought the game i uninstalled cause i had to be online to play. Not sure if they patched it out or not.
Goddamn, I wish XIII-2 wasn't a terribly optimized, crashy piece of shit. The gameplay is so much better than XIII and the music is great, but I gave up after so many fucking crashes to desktop in rainy Academia.
LR is only okay so far in comparison. I have an even harder time giving a fuck about the story.
No idea about that dude
I installed it on PC and I could play offline
>Rainy Academia
Reminder that the arrangement of Caius' Theme there is hype.

>but you can't so I win
Do you not know the meaning of the word 'generic'? Do you know all you did was set the conditions and still continued after being called out on it as if nothing was wrong?
Truly pathetic, next time you respond to me it better be to what I actually said.
I gotta admit, I'm a sucker for areas in games with intense themes that also override the normal battle theme (the airship raid to Fang's Theme in XIII was one of the best parts of the game) but I heard this song enough times loading into that area and having the game freeze during combat or after a boss fight that I don't want to be reminded that I can't finish it
Yes I do know what generic means and out of all the things you could say about XIII's OST, generic is not one of them.
(You)
How is the 13-2 steam port? I hear that 13 got fixed and LR turned out great, but from a friend I hear 13-2's port was FUBAR.
Unplayable.
I played and hated FF13 and FF13 dash 2. Is LR worth playibg? I know its battle system is thematically the same ATB evolution, but is the gameplay worth price of emission?
I liked it
>Yaschas Massif
mah nigga
I wish they'd had more jazz tracks in that game, or hell, the sequels. After XIII it just went full electronic.
it's worse than the previous two. the whole game is you running around doing chores for npc's
People played about 2 hours of 13 then dismissed all 3 games entirely.
Yeah it's real good.
It had awesome jazz tracks
I tried playing XIII but got tired of all the angst, self loathing and nonsensical story after three hours.
It was also completely linear, which is like offensive for a FF game.
The spawn rate of enemies there was insane, also, the last part of that level was glorious, I can't remember the song it played after yeul dies
Hate to break it to you but every Final Fantasy is linear until you get the airship.
Because the game isn't mainstream.
FF14 has the best soundtrack in the franchise, but it will never be acknowledged for it other than by its niche group of players. Same reason.
It's garbage, unfortunately. The interface is framerate-dependent somehow so there are all sorts of weird behavior and crashes on PC. It's a good game, get it on PS3 or 360 if you can.
...
I couldn't get far enough into LR to really get a good sampling of what all it offered.
I enjoyed XIII and XIII-2, both the games and the OST, but LR was just such a shitty and unenjoyable game, it pushed me away before I could hear it all.
I'm glad you guys still like my image
Do one this for this cutie.
So, why exactly didn't they just make different Final Fantasy games instead of two XIII sequels?
If you can provide me with enough source pics that make me swoon over her like I do for Light I might
Games were incredibly popular in the east and they had a bunch of unused assets from the first game and needed to get their money worth out of the engine.
I just realized all my based Lightning pics are from you.
my problem with LR's soundtrack is that it seemed to be mostly tracks copy-pasted from the first 2 games. those songs would make me think that i was in the original environments they were originally written for. but i wasnt, i was in completely different areas. so it would just start a lot of cognitive dissonance lol
I thought some of it was kinda fun in a stupid bullshit anime kinda way.
