(a) They decide the verbal abuse for being a girl in the scene isn't worth it
(b) The girlfriends of the players dedicate all their free time and then some to shittalk and harass the players all day on social media and in public because they're afraid the female players are in it to steal their boytoys.

The remainder that play are just freshmeat who are eventually going to quit like everyone before, or m2fs.

Anyway, because fighting games require extreme amounts of vidya autism to get really good at is one thing. Another thing is the fgc is basically on record as being a bunch of smelly, shit flinging, /r9k/ tier women haters/rapists as you night expect from such a collection of autists. Women either make them spaghetti, threaten them, or they're chimps and can't behave around one. And a chosen few are just utterly indifferent to them. Women can't tolerate any of these behaviors but especially not the last one because it makes them feel unimportant.

I win local tournaments all the time for anime fighters.

There's girls just never really at majors or any big tournaments cuz they always lose in pools and good fucking luck following pools enough to find them.

Playing Street Fighter with my cousins(both girls), they don't really have the patience to get good nor does the flashy specials impress them. Once they pick whatever male character they find to be the cutest, then spam the fuck out of the controller without regarding that characters have actual moves.

Women are simply incapable of competition that goes beyond own profit. Don't know whether it's testosterone or the fact that societies have always conditioned females to get what they want without doing shit, but meritocratic communities that don't reward anyone who is anything less of being the best have always been a HUGE repel for women. Well, COMPETING women, not the groupies.

There are also studies showing that females have worse reaction times and hand to eye coordination but I wouldn't blame that in a community that is largely dominated by 30+ year old men since those suffer diminishing returns too.

Kayane has always been shit. She was only "good" at Soul Calibur and that game has never been big enough to warrant proper competition. 30 person "majors" were all to common up until this series has died out completely. And even THEN she never took 1st place in tournaments that actually had top players.
