Gen 8
Everything old gamers opposed that younger generations eat up: DLC, season passes, DRM, Steam/Origin/Uplay, paid online service, downgrades, matchmaking, no dedicated servers, games shorter than 10 hours...
Tiger Electronics pretty much jumped the shark when they decided to make an even shittier way to play their already terrible fucking games.

>games shorter than 10 hours
It's so fucking weird that the average length of a video game was 10+ hours. I went back and played Doom 3 a year or two ago, and its single-player is fucking ridiculously long. Crazy fucking long I mean goddamn. I remember when Gears Of War first came out, and X-Play made the comment of something like
>The game is on the short side, clocking in at 8 hours
I mean holy fuck.
The Donkey Kong cartoon where DK is voiced by a black guy and everybody sings every episode. And it's great
I honestly didn't think the games were popular enough for an animated series.
Ha when RE4 came out they said it was too long.
Is it bad that I un-ironically enjoy this version of DK, and the songs.
