With Sonic Mania on the horizon and SEGA pulling their act together, Sonic could be saved. This is the BEST case scenario:
>Sonic Mania is a success and proves to SEGA that fans DO make better sonic games
>SEGA officially funds the Sonic Utopia project and create the perfect 3D Sonic game, and it and Sonic Mania get sequels out the ass
>Generations 2 satisfies Modern Sonic fans
The only way to perfect it even more is if:
>someone somehow makes a decent Sonic Adventure game (to basically satisfy that huge portion of the fanbase), eg one that fixes the problems and feels polished and glitch-less, and also a focus on Sonic levels complete with the best Chao Garden
>Chao Garden phone app
I know this is literally just my autism speaking but you can't deny that everyone would win.
