Why are there no good MMO's right now?

WoW has been stale for 5+ years.
GW2 was a massive letdown.
BDO is an endless grindfest.

What else is there?

It's like what happened to video stores. There used to be a bunch of great, smaller video stores that fostered a real sense of community, but then Blockbuster, Hollywood Video, and Family Video come along and push them all out. Then, because those giants refuse to change to change with the times, they begin fail, and we're left with a world that has very few video stores, and the ones that we do have a faceless corporate shit.

There aren't many good options, but consider EVE, PSO2, or ESO.

FFXIV has been the only MMO to catch my attention and hold it. Theres a new combat system coming and a buncha new updates

Global CD is 2.5, lowered by equipment and classes, Monk has something around 1.5. Each class has skills interlaced between the GCD skills, so normally youre always doing something. Plus the combat update is coming and noone really knows what its gonna be

EVE is kind of an interesting option but it feels too late to start now and my friends wouldn't even consider it.

heres an example of a Dragoon rotation end game. The base rotation is GCD, everything esle is off GCD and on its own CD

Not entirely sure, I only Tank and DPS.
As far as I can tell, theres no real "shields" So you're going to be tcatching up on damage and precasting.

The main thing about Healing is how much DPS you can get out while healing.

global cooldown, you have to wait 2.5 seconds after every spell, in wow it's 1.5 seconds
there is literally zero reason to play Sup Forumsscape when osrs is perfectly fine

After you use a base skill it goes on cooldown for 2.5 seconds.
You interlace other skills between GCD them.

Try the trial, it can be a bit slow at the start

i havent played it yet but it could be extremely annoying, especially coming from games that have no gcd.

Its alright once you get your full loadout, youre still always pressing something.
