Best transformation

Yeah.

I mean it was obvious who he was but the transformation was really neat.

Also, why do people dislike Klavier Gavin?

What the fuck is Ali G doing in a game?

I really fucking hated his phone/texting animation

>Also, why do people dislike Klavier Gavin
Fans of antagonistic prosecutors hate him from being anything but that while fans of Apollo hate him for making him like a spineless tard everytime they meed

He tries to save the world

Why is she so perfect?

>Annoying
>Shitty gimmick
>Mary Sue
>Holds your hand in court
>Offers no sort of adversity to you as the Rival prosecutors when he has every reason to (took down his brother, went on to work for the guy he took down, then take down his friend and bandmate but doesn't say shit about it)

Because sassy prostitutes are the best.

>You will never be friends with a sassy but well meaning prostitute.

So, what are the chances that the 3DS Attorney games get ported to the Switch? Or is Citra good enough for them already?

So, he's basically the first prosecutor who actualy does his job by catching the true culprits even though it's a friend or family?

She?! Did I miss something?

Also best breakdown.

>Holds your hand in court
Considering how almost everyone is very very VERY unhelpful in AJ, him included, I don't think so

Prostitute?!

She is a female alter in a male body.

youtube.com/watch?v=6B7P0S1K4ZA

>Catches the true culprit
None of the defendants he prosecuted against were the true culprits

What you mean is that he's the first prosecutor to search for the truth, which is still wrong because Edgeworth literally exists

Point being, you can be a prosecutor that wants to find the true culprit, but when the purpose of the prosecutor is to be a rival to the defense, Klavier is a shitty rival when he doesn't offer up any resistance

He doesn't need to, because Apollo is a shit lawyer

I agree that Apollo was shit in his own game, but that doesn't make Klavier any less shit of a character

Apollo being a shit lawyer doesn't make Klavier a good prosecutor, you fujoshi shit.

>tfw dai gyakuten saiban gets announced for nintendo switch

Why the fuck would he be upset about Gavin? He's still upset and confused about being used in Phoenix's trial ages ago.

Nahyuta was a terrible prosecutor

>Also, why do people dislike Klavier Gavin?

I dislike him because part of the enjoyment of beating a prosecutor in Ace Attorney is taking some asshole's confidence and shattering it into a million pieces.

The only time Klavier is an asshole is in flashback with Phoenix and you lose that case. By the time you get to beat him in court in 4-2, he's mellowed out considerably.

There's no gradual change in his character over the course of the game; he just stays a nice guy the whole time and just realizes he's acquainted with shitty people.

Let it go, and move on.

Kisegawa is a female personality and is referred to as 'she' by the rest of the cast, much like Owen is treated like an actual five-year-old.

He is an asshole alright in his way. Nothing fazes him, making all your objections and contradiction pointings (even major ones) pointless in the end.

I didn't. He was a breath of fresh air and finally not some smug asshole who has angry at the defense for no reason. He had the enough amount of banter and rivalry for a prosecutor.
He was also developed through the game and actually did stuff in the final case.

>Wh-What are you looking at

Question: Why Apollo and Maya can never ever coexist in the WAA gang? When both appears, one must leave.

Because the cast is way too bloated now.

because the writers are fucking shitheads who can't decide between using new characters or keeping the old ones around

Nahyuta is a good prosecutor. He's just a terrible person who doesn't properly redeem himself.

Developed how? I seem him as the least developed out of any of the main characters

I understand that he was protecting Rayfa, but why did he have to act like such a cunt to everybody?

he doesn't let any personal feelings get in the way of his job.

He developed a lot. Off screen in the time skip.

cardboard cutouts don't have any feelings in the first place

>Case 3
>Oh man Dhalsim's breakdown is gonna be funny, maybe he'll fly around the courtroom or twist himself into a pretzel in a yoga way haha
>I had to kill myself to protect my wife and unborn child, because the laws of this country would have seen her put to death for defending herself from a hired government murderer.
>"Goodbye, my love."

This.

They ca't kick out Athena after one game because that'd be admitting they fucked up big time, so Apollo has to go after getting a sort of trilogy

As for Maya, she's realy fucking done as a character and there's no way to get around that. She's tied for life to Kurain village and AA6 had the last portion of her training, from now on it's gonna be nonstop work, and at best we'll see her when the police/prosection asks for a channeling.

Trucy is still living with Nick, but the moment she graduates she's probably gonna spend almost all her time in shows.

So now we're gonna get a game of pure Phoenix and Athena, unless they introduce yet another rookie, or timeskip us into a graduated Pearl/Hugh

Did Ms. Ihnmee just got away scot free with murder?

>Hugh
>Coming back
>Ever

That's pretty S-T-U-P-I-D, user.

>Apollo is the first attorney in the WAA to beat Klavier
>Apollo is the first attorney in the WAA to beat Blackquill
>Apollo is the first attorney in the WAA to beat Nahyuta
>Apollo also doesn't lose his case against Nahyuta or need outside help from someone else to win

What did they mean by this?

It wasn't murder. She didn't intentionally kill him.

He had no reason to be a bitter cunt to the defense because he didn't even believe in his own words.
And then when Rayfa's "reputation" is cleaned, he just does a 180° and pretty much goes like "wtf I love defense attorneys now"

>Uendo

You know power-of -friendshipman is gonna come back, Capcom gets off on that.

Justified self-defense/involuntary manslaughter.

Even though her attacker was hired by the government, murder is still murder and she would've been protected under that if the legal system in Khura'in weren't so fucked up.

That was before the reveal, user.

The worst thing about the writing is the impulsive need to introduce a new main character every game

It made sense in the trilogy because the series was just starting. As retarded as AA4 is, it at least made sense to introduce new characters because it was a new era. It was completely unnecessary in AA5. It made more sense for AA6, but it wasn't completely needed to be done either. They don't need new protagonists, and at this point, there are plenty of prosecutors and characters to choose from, especially if they utilize AAI characters, but that'll never happen

>Sherlock series requires you play all 3(?) games to get the full story
>required to buy all the games
>guaranteed money

NOT GONNA LOCALIZE LOL!!!

I'd love to see Kay appear in the main series.

they don't know what to do with the mainline anymore.

They need a new setting, a new prosecutor, new characters, etc.

I just wish the series was just "let's solve some dank random cases here in los japangeles" with some little story, but no. Everything has to be overarching and "epic" these days

I like to think that Kay became a prosecutor in the time skip and is working with Gumshoe

That's kind of what Apollo Justice was supposed to be, but they chickened out and gave Phoenix his badge back.

The most jarring thing about it, honestly, is how Phoenix goes from typical luck-dependant attorney when you're controlling him, but is the fucking chessmaster he was in AJ whenever you're playing a Apollo/Athena

That's like saying Apollo should be in a DLC case. Or getting along with Maya

Consider the following:
some of the main characters need to die for the series to evolve.

Who are you willing to sacrifice?

Athena and Klavier please

MAYA

MAYA

MAYA

Phoenix

Zero if I had to guess. What's wrong with just getting them on the 3DS?

I don't want to buy a 3DS, I don't like it.
The other AA titles got ported to multiple devices.

Only thing left for them to do is resolve the Apollo/Truck/Thalassa reveal and solve Kristoph and his black locks. Tie up those loose ends and they can do anything they want, but I wouldn't count on that for AA7

Maya, in SoJ she was pure cancer.

>and solve Kristoph and his black locks
lol

Personally I want GK3 centered around Edgeworth and Franziska's relationship growing up

SoJ really felt like two games trying to squeeze into one

One about Phoenix and Maya reuniting in a foreign land, and another about Apollo growing into a man and finding out more about his past.

It's so fucking jarring that Maya's return was pretty much the selling point and by the end of the game it's more of a footnote. She felt severely underutilized to me.

Mostly because they had to focus on Apollo. Once he's completely out of the picture AA7 will improve on writing her.

Yeah, a "Courtesan".

>Apollo growing into a man and finding out more about his past.
Probably the twistiest of twists they did in the game since no trailers allude to it (they have to, nobody cares about it due tio AJ's reception)

The first two cases didn't even allude to it. Really felt like this game lacked a bit of direction/focus even though I still enjoyed it

So how does AA6 stand against the other games, is it as good as 3?

I finished AA6 recently and I loved the game, but I was really pissed because Jove Justice isn't barely relevant even though he could have been channeled, and Apollo staying in Kuhrain is bullshit. If AA7 is still about the Wright Anything Agency he'll probably come back just like Maya id in AA2 but still. By the way, listening to Guitar Serenade with the lyrics after finished 6-5 was so good. I completely forgot the lyrics.

>part of the enjoyment of beating a prosecutor in Ace Attorney is taking some asshole's confidence and shattering it into a million pieces.
The big twist of AA4 was that the character who fits these criteria isn't a prosecutor but Kristoph. I liked Klavier, it was a nice change to have a prosecutor who isn't an asshole or a criminal.

I'd be fine with a game full of cases unrelated to each other like with the filler cases. They're the most fun anyway.

Yes, the game only has 1 truly weak case, and even then it's protected by an absolutely fantastic witness.
All the characters in 6 are great, and the final case is fucking incredible. It was one small tick away from being the best case in the series, undoubtably, but it has a shitload of twists and turns and is a great climax for a lot of things.

3 is overrated anyway.
Only 3-2 and 3-5 were great.

If you like Apollo, yes, it's even better I'd say, but I think 3 is good but overrated. Otherwise no I guess.

IMO

Not as good as

GK2
AA3
PWAA

But better than everything else. Very strong cases, but without spoiling anything, I dock points because I feel that parts of the story are a copy of stuff that already happened in the trilogy

Best one outside the trilogy.

This.
The cases in AJ weren't good but the investigation parts/gimmicks were great.
I mean, I was expecting 1-5:The game from AJ but it wasn't that well received because story and cases weren't good and then they have a chance to redeem themselves, they shit out DD.
At least AA6 brought investigations somewhat back even though it was just fingerprints and luminol.
He always bluffs, it's kind of hard to notice since you know his thoughts.
I mean, in 1-3 he accuses oldbag to be the killer just to buy time.

I thought that AA5 copied a lot of things from previous games too, including Ghost Trick. And By "including I mean especially, and I say that as someone who played Ghost Trick after AA5. I wish the wirters would try new things instead of being stuck with the same characters all the time for the sake of fanservice and keeping the old fans.

I don't know, Oldbag probably did kill someone.

I agree with the ranking but I don't really remember anything that it copied from the previous games

6-5:Maya kidnapping

Not him but there are a lot of plot twists from AA5 and AA6 that are similar to the ones in the trilogy.
Just in AA6, the last case is literally the same bullshit rivalry as with Morgan and Misty Fey, except Khurain is a country instead of a not-Japanese village. AA5 is Ghost Trick but with attorneys instead of detectives, etc.

The story doesn't make much sense though once you start thinking about it. I mean in the trilogy I only wonder why Godot fucking killed Misty but it still makes somewhat sense

Also there isn't really any heat in the court since Nayuhta just destroy any momentum by shaking his head and summoning butterflies.

I mean, it kinda feels like they tried to redo AA5's "Dark age of the law" but this time properly showing a fucked-up lawsystem and Khurain being a monarchy is just there to do "I ain't gotta explain shit"

The most egregious offense is Athena's back story literally being Edgeworth's from the first game

Apollo and Nahyuta's back story felt like Phoenix and Edgeworth's to me

Also, the Garan/Amara plot is the exact same thing as Misty and Morgan Fey

He's a guy who played his cards well and got away with everything he did while working with Ga'ran.

Also he will get to fuck Ema.

Athena is a literal fusion of Lynne and Edgeworth, I'm glad I only noticed way after finishing AA5 for the first time so I could enjoy the game a lot.

That's the fucking truth.

>He's a guy who played his cards well

What
He's almost as stupid as his mother.
He didn't even really redeem himself

When was AA6 released in Japan by the way? I'm surprised I missed spoilers and even trailers about the game until I got to play it myself, even though there are already a lot of things about it on pixiv and twitter. There's even porn of Durkhe so I guess it has been a while

Will we ever hear of him again?

June 9th

Makes sense I guess. I wish Ace Attorney games were released just as early in the West.

Case 6-5 is madman Apollo boss rushing through Phoenix's final cases in the first 3 games

Sometime this June. Though in the first anime trailer I saw someone pointing out that a shadowed guy (probably Dhurke) is going to be related to Apollo even when the games aren't released in Japan

It has been a while since I played AA4 but what was up with Jove? His backstory was that he was a magician and that he died while performing but they changed it completely. I know it was to fit with the guitar serenade lyrics the part about the poor guy burning alive and dying but it just feels wrong. The fact that he was underused was weird too because him being a plot point could have been a good way to bring up the fact that Apollo is related to Trucy and Thalassa.

DD is literally the opposite of whatever AJ stands for.

And I thought everyone hates the forensicking stuff back in AJ

I think Brushel actually said he was a musician.

>Also, why do people dislike Klavier Gavin?

He doesn't actually try to win cases. He just smugly holds your hand and helps you find the truth of the case.

Like the end of case 2. There was no big contradiction or piece of evidence that you had to figure out, Klaiver pretty much tells you what happened to help you win instead of making you figure it out.

And I mean, a prosecutor doesn't have to be a complete dick, forge evidence, and do whatever to win, but they at least have to TRY to win.

Edgeworth helps find the truth when it becomes evident to him, and wants a completely fair trial, but he doesn't hold your fucking hand and tell you what happened. He still tries to actually win.

I liked his breakdown.
