The unstoppable badass protagonist of the first game gets taken out by some rando in the sequel to prove shit went down

>The unstoppable badass protagonist of the first game gets taken out by some rando in the sequel to prove shit went down

>they got taken out by a joke character from the first game

chrono trigger/cross

>final boss is your friend
>he kicks your ass
>in the sequel you kick his ass
>then shit goes down and you have to team up to fight against a bigger threat
>he ends up dying so that you could get the last hit in

Prototype

Solar Boy Django?

>5

>you start off as a single badass in the beginning of the game

>said badass builds his own badass group/home

> said group gets completely destroyed and sabotaged like a white girl in a gangbang with 4 black guys in the next installment of the series

What fucking reason did Yami have to play that stupid seal card?

The guy literally handed the card to Yami, he could've taken it, rip the card apart then lose the duel and NOTHING would've happened

He literally had no reason to use that card, nothing was at stake except the Pharaoh's winning streak

>Second game in series has you playing child of previous protagonist
>Previous protagonist is no longer the god-stomping unbeatable being they were by the end of the first game
>They never say specifically what happened
>Later game in series shows exactly what horrifying events unfolded between the first & second game

>Spotted the guy who just watched the latest abridged episode

I actually watched the episode not long ago, Yami had the seal card because the guy exchanged cards with him via a magic card.

He GAVE him the seal, nothing was at stake, no one was getting tortured or anything. Yami had nothing to lose

One

Frieza from DBZ

Lost and damned/GTA V

Prototype1/Prototype2

He didn't have any, he just didn't want to fucking lose

Yami yugi is the self proclaimed "king of games". He played the card because he was cocky as fuck and he lost because of it.

Wait, what happened?

This was the dumbest shit and half the reason the Cell Saga was such irredeemable bullshit.

>How can we invalidate the development our main protagonist went through and turn the series into a Rocky Training Montage?

>the Cell Saga was such irredeemable bullshit

I agree with the sentiments contained in this post

Spoken like a true Sup Forumsermin.

what is Beyblade, thanks alex ill take Things OP is, for $600

The Cell saga was the best one. It was the entire culmination of Gohan's development.
The real shit is the Buu Saga when they decided to throw it all away and make Gohan Yamcha 2.0 for no reason.

You fucking americans disgust me. In DBZ, Frieza > Saiyans > Androids > Buu > Cell
Cell was the worst asspull villain imaginable, Gohan got a bullshit power up, everyone gets SS ! Even though only one can happen in a 1000 years, Cell didn't just destroy Earth when he was threatened, Zenkai again, only for Cell though ! Etc.
Goku is the main character, not Gohan. Get over it.

Don't you love the editorial staff?

Ok but Gohan going SSJ for the first time was a pretty great moment desu

Gohans power was being foreshadowed like fuck entirely through the Frieza and Saiyan sagas.
Also the whole 1000 years bullshit was just a legend, it doesn't mean shit. Especially with the shitty Bardock movie. Goku is a shit main character.
I'm not even murican you raging faggot.

Sabata was your brother, not your friend.

Gohan had the worst SS transformation scene, except Goten and Trunks of course. Even Cabba's was better, contextually.

>Gohans power was being foreshadowed like fuck entirely through the Frieza and Saiyan sagas
"Wooow Gohan just went beyond the already legendary Super Saiyan, isn't that so cool ?!"
Toriyama wrote himself into a corner and needed a way for Gohan to beat Cell. SS2 and SS3 were a mistake, even Toriyama thinks so.

>SS2 and SS3 were a mistake, even Toriyama thinks so
>He thinks Toriyama cares while still introducing new even bigger asspull saiyan transformations

Well go on then, which game does this?

Clearly, since there is absolutely no hint of going beyond SSB.

So MGS Peacewalker and MGSV GZ?

>nothing to lose

Except his pride if the king of games lost a literal who?

mgs pw

Goku already went beyond SSB by mixing it with Kaioken.
If you want a more clear new bullshit transformation though, Super Saiyan Rose.

Super Saiyan Rose is the best transformation of them all by a wide margin.

Protagonist in alternate timeline from original gets taken out by villains of new game even though at that point protagonist should be easily be able to take out the new villains

tfw alternate universe depends on whoever played the previous game being incompetent

>dark alliance 1 to dark alliance 2
Though it's neat that in dark alliance 2 you can find the place the old protags are locked up and free them and they'll give you some weapons.

Fucking Chrono Cross.

because dbz power levels don't mean shit. trunks kills frieza with one hit than gets beaten the shit out of by androids, who in turn don't even stand a chance against cell
hey remember when frieza destroyed an entire planet with his finger? yeah that guy is weak af

Perfect example

>not going beyond
do you even watch dbz?

There better be a good fucking reason for someone to sacrifice themselves just so someone else can get the last hit.

AND THIS

ally had just taken a hit from the boss, basically impaled, so it would be better for you who has little to no damage to finish him off.

haha what you going to do fuccboi you can't do shit bitchass nigga

Caim losing to the faggot from Drakenguard 2 was bullshit.
