Not monday, but the occasion deserves the thread. Future Tone just got rated in Germany, which means Western Release soon.

That's nice, though I fear most of the people who actually wanted it have already bought it.
That shouldn't come as a surprise.
I was waiting a year on purpose for the chance of happening. It was worth it.
Well, almost everyone here said this will never happen because of licensing issues.
Almost everyone is gay then, I bet they're okay with Luka being as gay as she is.
I played the demo, and didn't plan on buying the jap version, because I was sure they would bring it to the west.
>demo gave me trophies
>will forever have 23% in a Miku game
Oh god, I hope the western versions share the trophy list.
PC version when?
Every time
There's a PC version since 2007
>It was worth it.
Yeah, having an English options menu is so useful! Well worth waiting over a year for an English release!
Fuuuuck yeeeeeeeees nigga Project Diva X didn't satisfy my fix, it was really bare-bones. I was waiting a bit to get FT to be able to make it through my finals this semester.
How does it change anything to play it a year later though?
Also, having 200+ songs with translated lyrics is a sweet deal too.
Oh fuck yes. All lyrics translated yes?
I was actually considering buying it the other day, glad I held off.
Did they translate all the lyrics in X? The F games had a lot of songs that were just kana
yes
>poses
Are they Jojo references?
What? Only the first F game had no translation, the sequel had all of it translated except one song.
>importing outside europe game in a cancerous country in Europe
>buy game €60
>shipping €20
>import costs/taxes
€30
Why even bother? It's way too expensive for me. Worth the wait.
Holy fuck yes. I'm glad I didn't go to the trouble of making a JP account to buy it for like $80 because faggots kept saying it would never come west because of licensing.
Why is X so mediocre?
>no real PVs
>just Vocaloids dancing around on a stage
>gift items are random drops
F 2nd was great with the requests for songs and being able to buy the modules you want.
>no Meiko/Luka/Rin/Len/Kaito songs at all in X
>have to select them anyway to grind out their modules
The Vita version of F 2nd is missing a ton of translations for sure. Dunno if it's any different for the PS3 one but I don't see why it would be.
except you could only buy it from the japanese digital store you dolt
it's probably not gonna have a physical release here either I hope it will
>every other game since Diva f came over
>BUT THIS ONE WON'T BECAUSE IT HAS MORE SONGS
Their argument was retarded from the getgo.
What makes you think it's gonna be priced differently?
this is great news.
What songs? I got the cart, too lazy to put it in to check. How about you tell me?
>paying full price for a digital game
>fishnets
>armpits
>great eyebrows
fucking when?!
>digital only shit
No thanks.
Never because sega's arcade game security is bretty gud and nobody wants to bother cracking it
Pretty much every game in Japan costs 7-8k JPY, but comes west for $60, even digital stuff. Even if for some reason it does cost more than that, I still don't need to go to the trouble of making a separate account and shit should be translated, even if it isn't a massive deal since I can just read kana shit easily and it's a rhythm game.
It's digital only. You pay nothing extra for the import.
How so? The only reason they could sell the FT packs so disgustingly cheap is them already having all the licenses because of the Arcade game. Licenses are the main reason the regular Diva games only have 30-40 songs each, it simply wouldn't be profitable otherwise. I think it's pretty likely the FT packs will cost a lot more in the west than they did in Japan, similar to how it was for IM@s back then.
As impossible as Future Tone out of Japan because MUH EXPENSIVE LICENSING FEES!
Something tells me sega will go full jew on this and will price each version at $40
As retarded I might sound, I would gladly pay $1 per song on this game. I hope SEGA is not reading this
I fixed this image for you, no need to thank me.
I just thought they didn't want to give X a competitor on the PS4
>Publisher: Atlus U.S.A., Inc.
And they didn't, FT bombed as hard as it could bomb, while X was like, 30k?
I mean... that was my train of thought when I bought the Japanese version, I don't mind going through the trouble because Miku, you know? imma go eat my sour grapes somewhere else...
X is a shit game. Not surprising.
Where do you get the sales figures for FT? I thought it was digital only.
It didn't even figure on the Media Create sales where, someone said here, they also account the downloads.
That's a shame since it's a much better game than X. Maybe I'll buy it again then.
It is? Are the controls OK even when they didn't change the charts from the arcade ones?
The controls are fine. You can customize your layout however you like. There are even macros to hit multiple triggers with one button.
The biggest issue is the simultaneous notes, but it just takes getting used to.
It mite b cool if we ever got an arcade-style pad but the DS4 works just fine.
Why did it bomb? Not having to put in coins or use cash cards to play some games in the arcade seems appealing.
I see... thanks.
Who knows, I prefer having more songs than less.
Have fun "getting used to" the controls with 9-star difficulty songs
Well shit. Too late for me. I'll just convince myself untranslated lyrics enrich the experience with mystery and shit.
I can already do some 9-star songs without much trouble compared to lower songs. Only problem is speed, which just means I have to practice.
>Removing Meiko
Ok
>Removing Luka
Not ok, but...
>Keeping Kaito
That's it, I'm done with you.
IA's game when?
Maybe I am wrong but, doesn't the Hori pad allows you changing the button layout? It could be easily arranged to match FT Arcade Cabinets.
Didnt F2 do it?
Considering the amount of songs, I highly doubt it.
IA/VT will never see a release outside of Japan. Screencap this and post it all you want when it happens.
Well I thought it was a better game on the grounds that it offered more new gameplay than X did. Mind you I didn't like X's songlist all THAT much so that probably contributed a bit too.
Controls are fine but the hori pad is the way to go for sure.
I've never heard of them allowing that.
glad i held back
i could've bought it, but i prefer to support migu in the west
Apparently it is possible, but only on the newest X one:
The controls are fine. Doing the really high level stuff just takes a lot more effort on a dualshock than a proper FT controller. You can't as easily hold buttons while doing other inputs so you have to set the shoulder buttons depending on the song if you want to maximize your points. Honestly though I doubt anyone from here would ever even care about that though, that's only really important for the absolutely highest echelon of players in the arcade version and only after you can already All Cool songs.
Gameplay wise I like FT's style a lot more than the Project Diva games. It plays very differently and might seem a bit "simpler" at first, but there is actually a ton of depth and decision making at play if you want to get good that the other Diva games lack. Stuff like how long you want to Hold specific notes for, do you want to drop a note or combo the next Hold into it so you don't have to interrupt the next note's Hold, etc. It's fun
>Removing Meiko
>ever ok
you take that back you snorkel
Kaito is a pure qt and belongs with Miku, Rin and Len. Luka and Meiko are whores that should be kept away from the four.
Too late for me since I already bought it on jp store
Yeah I know what you mean it really plays like a whole different game. I've had way more fun playing FT than diva X solely on how I find FT is a way more involved game mentally. I actually got the hori pad not to sperg out and get perfect on every song but to increase fun dramatically.
It's fun to play on a stupid giant controller.
Never hopefully
Already bought it, no real reason to double dip since there are no diva room shenanigans.
Unless you mean DLC (which I haven't bought yet), the only untranslated song in F2nd is Heat Haze Daze.
that sucks. I've been listening to IA recommendations from last Miku Monday and I like her a lot more than Miku. Into Starlight and Tale of Trillion Years alone is better than anything Miku has sung. Is there any hope of a second IA game or the IA/VT releasing on a platform besides the Vita?
is future tone the version that has like 500 songs in it?
mostly rehashed stuff from 2008?
Just buy a used vita and pirate it.
Is this another Migu rhythm game?
No second probably.
Also you can still find the game for cheap-ish on some sites. I got my LE for $50 at a convention and oddly enough everything was sealed except for the game proper.
That's mean.
224 songs
It's a compilation of her best hits since she's old and busted.
IA is an overdesigned piece of poop, even her VA is gaudy: an actual idol.
i guess thats still a couple songs
how many of those are good ones?
Only one.
Most of them
t. Miku
I didn't know that having a more realistic voice was "gaudy". IA is the future and Miku is the past. IA combines the flexibility of voice from previous vocaloids while maintaining an increasingly realistic voice bank. There's no reason to use Miku when IA exists.
is it ok to fap to my waifu?
i dont want to regret it
Miku is cuter and has cool/cute friends. IA is a friendless dweeb.
What about quirky/elegant friends
Do you want your waifu to become a carnal desire and/or sexual object Y/N
i dont want to hurt my waifus feeling
i dont want her to feel unactractive because i didnt fap to her yet
Remember when Miku was on David Letterman's show?
youtube.com
I knew it would happen if I just believed.
thx 4 believing
>ONE wears spats while IA is potentially nopan
this confirms that IA is best povertyloid right?
>implying that nopan>spats
Are you dumb?
Reminds me of that one Venetian Snares album
Nice.
Oh fucking shit, well if it's just future tone i'm glad. Only got colorful tone.
user there's Future Sound and Colorful Tone, they're both part of Future Tone.
IA/VT sold in the 50,000 range so if 1st Place wants another game Marvelous would probably work on it since they already have the groundwork done and doing a sequel is much cheaper than starting something new from scratch. It'd mostly come down to 1st Place which own IA though.
You can buy a Vita TV for like $30 and import a new copy of IA/VT for like $30 or $35. So if you already have a PS3 or PS4 controller you can just use that with it and be set.
Nope, I haven't and the hoops I would have to jump through to buy it was one of the things stopping me from getting a PS4, this is big news for me. Still I will wait till official release if I am to get a console, you never know what other surprises might be there.
>there are anons in this thread that spend $130 on the nip version
BTFO
EVERYTHING IS FORGIVEN
Well, no. Fuck you SEGA Europe for not bringing physical X. It just means I hate you a little less than yesterday.
