There is nothing wrong with Tetris.
There are things which can be altered or fiddled with depending on what kind of experience you want, but nothing's wrong or broken or requires fixing.
It's a perfectly-designed video game, and despite how humble the genre remains its only competitors are largely other puzzle games.

The sack sorting method helps to prevent bad RNG.
As I recall, it's something like you are given a bag with three sets of the seven tetriminos, each of which are pulled out. After you take the last piece out, you get a new bag.
Also the Ubisoft produced Tetris games are complete dogshit, lacking in soul and mechanically undesirable.
