>backlog is big

>backlog gets even bigger
>never actually play anything
It feels like I'm collecting games just to fill the empty void in my life.
Do you suffer from this mental sickness too?

I occasionally buy games and don't play them to support certain devs, usually re-releases of games I've already played.
>be filthy NEET for like 16 years now since dropped out of college
>play video games 15+ hours a day
>but be a completionist playing most new games for 100+ hours, and also frequently replay old games
>backlog still grows faster than it decreases
there is no hope
my problem is i want to play the games i buy, and would if i didn't play nothing but mmo garbage
Please tell me that by collecting games you mean torrenting them and collecting them on a separate HDD
How do people unironically pay for games in the current year when you're literally a click and 5 minutes away from downloading it for free?
nice try todd
I just upgrade my computer and buy more and more games and consoles because I know everything is pointless and I am just making time until I finally die
Who the fuck is Todd?
Stop having a backlog.
Drop literally everything.
Play what you feel like playing
Stop playing what you don't feel like playing, when you don't feel like playing them.
Remember that video games are for enjoyment, and if you're not enjoying yourself, it's the fault of the game, not you, and you can stop whenever you want.
Forcing yourself to enjoy a game is like forcing yourself to fall asleep. You're not going to fall asleep, you're just going to get frustrated and think something's wrong with you.
but every single game in my backlog is a game I want to play and feel like playing
but I can't play them all at once
No I don't. I buy one game at a time and beat it. Then get another game. I have a backlog of one game.
Then pick one at random. Put their titles in a hat or something.
>be a disgusting mac user
>discover years ago that i can create ports of basically any PC game i want using a program called WINE
>have made almost 100 ports at this point
>haven't played any of them
The porting process is actually more fun to me than playing the games. I'm fucking weird.
that doesn't change that I'll never be able to see the end of it
it's depressing to never have the time to play it all
OP here, I can't remember the last time I actually bought a game.
>All those games at your disposal
>Would rather browse free flash games and play them
>Enjoy them more
How did I end like this
Why the fuck are you depressed? That's literally the opposite of a problem.
I actively seek out and play games that are considered mediocre and I enjoy them more than games that have been heaped with praise.
I'm not really sure why. I think I like rooting for the underdog.
>rooting for the underdog.
omg i thought I'm the only one
see skyrim hd remaster
Wine compatibility is meh for games that use DX 10/11, install windows 7 via bootcamp. it's what i do
Don't 100% games, just get to the credits sequence.
That's not just you, getting homebrew into consoles is also more fun than its games. Happened with the PS3, happened with the 3DS.

I like Steam playtime and having all of my games in one place like Steam.
Oh shit you're new.
I don't understand this retarded argument that I see constantly
You ALREADY have all your games, along with the rest of them in the world, under pretty much every torrent tracker. All you need to do is download them, just like in the case of Steam games. Except they're free forever
You're correct OP, you are mentally ill. I can't understand or feel sympathy for pathetic retarded behavior such as yours. Do something about it.
Well, you can't do that with most multiplayer games today. Also, most cracked software contains malware. Most people think they're safe running AV or firewall software. Some will run files through virustotal and assume a crack is safe, but cracked software with payloads is big business. Releases are packed with custom malware and virustotal actually gives them an easy way to quickly check if their malware will be detected or not. .
Thank u
>tfw taking a sabbatical at work
>to get through all the new releases in february and clean up my backlog
if I really like a game I'll buy it to show support for more of that type of thing being made, of course I always pirate first though. I do the same with all media desu, if something becomes a favorite at least
>being this new
everyone point and laugh
