in the context of "a look at history" there are too many of a lot of things in battlefield 1. its a bit disingenuous to give out about there being too many blacks and pakis when the game is filled to the very brim with anachronistic weapons and things like rifle grenade technology not working at all realistically

for example, the british (default, hopefully this will change in future) medic in MP is a paki, about a million of them were used in the british empire army in WW1. however his default gun is the cei rigotti, which was produced only in italy as a prototype that had a run of between 20-1000 ever produced depending on who you ask

which is the more outrageous historical inaccuracy? portraying more blacks than is necessary, or putting in a massiveover abundance of weapons that completely change the face of warfare as it stood in that time period?

for the record, if the options are ever made available to change the soldier's appearance, i will be changing the medic to white, rather than leaving him as a paki with a ridiculously thick english accent and fluent grasp of the language, same goes for the moolie german sniper with the perfect accent and language. it reeks of laziness and pandering and further breaks the immersion in a game already wracked with such concerns


tldr, dont try to use history as a reason to give out about blacks in BF1 when everyone in the game is armed with an automatic or semi auto weapon thats either a prototype or had not been deployed when the part of the campaign/multiplayer operation took place
