Started playing it last night and I'm confused. I just finished the second day with Dorothy, and I'm now pretty sure I'm missing some info since she was presented as if I should already know her.
Namely, I think I vaguely recall hearing of a demo for it that's both canon to the main game and covers the weekend events that led to Gill spending the first night cleaning. I'm guessing this is where Dorothy is introduced and such, but I can't seem to find it.
I tried playing the demo on the dev's site with Anna (which I really hope gets followed up on as an aside) but it had nothing to do with the dogs.
Anyone know where I can find the other demo?
This game deservest an OST of the year award.
>game
hehe no gameplay so comfy ughhhhh
It's a drink mixing game
sorry m8 but that rule only applies for Sup Forums
If your favourite track isn't Meet the Staff you can get the hell outta my face
Is Jill Half French? Weird, she looked Mexican to me
It's never explicitly said what her heritage is.
At a guess I'd say her father was either Anglo or Germanic based off her second name.
Well, the wiki says she is Half-French
Seconding this, I know for a FACT that the second demo exists but I have no clue where to play it.
You have to buy it on itch.io to get it.
The devs said it'd come to steam soon with the full engine updates as well but that was months ago.
It would be nice if the devs released spin-offs of each character: Dorothy, Jamie, Sei, Stella, etc

Va11 Hall-a has a deep lore
My feelings on the game.
Not a fan of Jill's angst, I take it?
Jill > Sei > Stella > Dorothy > Alma
Prove me wrong
For subsequent playthroughs, when does the dialogue start to differ up for different routes? I read too late you can do them all on 1 playthrough so I need to figure out where to start paying attention again.
How can one woman be so perfect?
They're not really 'routes' how you're probably imagining them.
You just give the right drinks to the right customer at a given point and then either the next time you see them or right away you'll get an 'ending' with them before resuming normal play.
Just look up a guide for what to you need to do and do it when you get a chance.
I want to stick my hand in the toaster.
Le Feeling Man aside you really exposed yourself as having been here for less than a month if you think fucking /lit/ is the place for VNs.
I'd advise against it.
Tchat's actually pretty accurate, but I'd switch Sei with Stella.
Liking Alma is literally ASKING to get cucked.
>not Heart of the city
>not skyline
This is your bartender for tonight
What kind of conversation would you have with her?
...
>routes
there's no proper route like other VN as if you chose to follow one character.
when you treat a character nicely you unlock its ending on top of the regular one.
you can get all endings in the same playthrough
Give me a Shanghai Gut Punch.
That's a risk I'm willing to take my man.
I'm... not very good at talking...
J-just give me a Bad Touch.
>"hello, something sweet please"
>"thank you, have a nice day"
"So, this is what you do huh? And I thought I was boring."
...
I love to talk to random people in bars and clubs. A lot of times they are interesting as fuck
Wait, that's not the scenes like where you go out back with Alma for a smoke right? If so I got like 3 on that other playthrough.
Also, getting Dorothy drunk is so fun.
She does say her mother is french
Order the most expensive drinks on the menu while tipping generously.
Start telling her a story about how I feel like I got my girlfriend killed by getting into a fight with her over a foreign research project she wanted to work on and breaking up with her over it, causing her to go and die as a result of it.
Subtly force her to realise I didn't do anything wrong so that she, in turn, gains closure.
Then hang around until Dorothy shows up and blow the rest of my savings on her.
Those would be the 'endings', yes.
The only real 'route' divergence is whether or not you end up affording to pay your rent.
>I waited three months for this?
I'll wait till it goes on sale. Spent a lot of dosh recently and I need to thin out my backlog.
Guys i think i fell in love with Jaill
Send help pls
Ah ok, thanks. I still have a few I haven't got yet, but I'm enjoying this run where I'm cramming as much alcohol down everyone's throat.
>Jill didn't assault armitage right here
I actually didn't mind dealing with depression. I just didn't care about the ex's sister, no emotional attachment to her and would have rather the ex be replaced entirely with something else and resolved with characters I had any attachment to. Besides that the story just kind of ends when I thought it was going to explore the things it set up like the 'hallucinations' in the next chapters and have that be a symptom of her problems, that get ramped up or something, and instead everything just got tied up neatly in something I didn't care. And after I looked up the explanation about her it was pretty lame.
Also felt really obnoxious that it skirts next to romance stuff so hard just to mess with the player to the point it might as well not have been in it at all. I guess the anime avatars should have been a hint the game it was going to be on par with that sort of story. It's a fun element to explore in cyberpunk, but then again it's like a lot of other elements of cyberpunk that it's missing all together. The game has a lot of appreciation for decent cyberpunk aesthetics without really hitting the substance of what makes it a good genre. It gets me interested in exploring things but doesn't deliver.
It's comfy and cool little game. Music was great, and the jukebox thing worked great. Some of the characters have pretty decent designs. Has some good moments. And I don't regret buying it but I'd be hesitant about getting another installment.
She's perfect.
Here's your medicine.

Pretty much sums up what I thought about it. It throws a ton of interesting stuff at you then focuses on the most bland and uninteresting part of it all.
What was the explanation for cyber ghost girl anyway?
Nanomachines?
Basically.
She's a nanite ghost cloud of dorothy's adopted sister,
>You will never have a date with Jill, talk to her and make her laugh
>Tfw she will laugh if you show her your benis
People think small talk is hard but you can talk about literally anything. Anything at all. People hate silence if they haven't gotten a bit of talking in beforehand so they will reciprocate 100% as long as you aren't a sweaty smelly NEET who can't breathe without making weird noises. Just mention the first thing that happens - "Oh, you smoke?" - and relate to it somehow ("I tried it once but I coughed like a little bitch in front of this chick I liked.") It's best if it's humorous or a tiny bit self deprecating; comedy really gets people to open up.
Wrote this word chunk because is conversational suicide.
"Did you hear that gunshot the other day?"
Feels bad man.
Yeah, I got that someone was talking about "nanite ghost clouds" and how they didn't exist but it never went in to any kind of detail?

Are the creators of this game locked up by the authorities because they're actually making money and want to leave the country?
I hope they force them to make a good sequel, at gunpoint if necessary.

I get that the game is supposed to be stress free, but I wish it was a little more challenging, even if it just meant more stuff like answering virgilio's weird requests and having the correct drink not always be what the customer is asking for.

how old is Alma? I saw the game say that she shouldn't hold a grudge against her sister for 40 years? Is she that old? or was that a mistake?
Good thing this isn't a Japanese VN
How long does it take to go through all of it at an enjoyable pace?
About 6-7 hours.
Are they still stuck in Southkistan?
