This is Alice

This is Alice

She is a girl with a vivid imagination and is very cute!

Say something nice about her and is the game worth playing for her cutness alone? Also why the fuck does the game have a steam page but no option to buy it.

Madness Returns is one of the very best 3D platformers in the last 2 console generations.

Its in Banjo Kazooie territory.
Check out Vexx too if you are into 3D platformers.

Holy fuck, what? I enjoyed the game, but there was barely any platforming. How is it anything like BK when the levels are completely linear? The game is 50% simple action combat, 30% searching the levels for secrets and guessing which path leads to a collectible and which path leads to a point of no return, 10% staring at the environments, and 10% double-jumping between platforms with finicky controls.

Ok

But why is there no buy option on steam?

EA.

EA might have pulled it so that you have to buy it on Origin.

...

But it's not even on Origin

...

Well, that's EA.

>one of the very best 3D platformers in the last 2 console generations

Why do you think that? Have you played many others? Honest questions.

IMO Alice: MR was a pretty game with well-designed characters, some gorgeous level and good voice acting but it was also obviously unfinished and had dull combat. Its worlds would sure be fun to revisit in VR.

The levels were drawn out, and the combat felt repetitive before the end, but I think Madness Returns is worth a playthrough for the atmosphere and art design.

They ran out of keys from EA most likely

What the hell, no it isn't. It's alright, but extremely padded, really sluggish to present new ideas. It has its moments, an in general I like the art style, but cmon now

It's a great game, but the lack of bosses really hurts the game. You don't feel rewarded enough at the end of each level

I wish there was more to interact with in general. More story, more characters to talk to, I don't know.

Games like Psychonauts and Banjo Kazooie filled their worlds to the brim with content, so there was always something different. Alice looked beautiful, but I felt like a lot of the different worlds in Alice overstayed their welcome, because they felt so empty outside of combat sections.

I really like the fan-made animations of her

Wasn't perfect. Would still love to see a sequel if EA weren't keeping it under lock and key.
