As I watching Doctor Strange I was thinking it would have been perfect for one of those late PS2/early PS3/360 era movie tie in games. It would be either a Prince of Persia clone, a God of War clone like that Ghost Rider game or a 2 player Dark Alliance clone with Strange and Mordo. It wouldn't be that good but kid me would love it.

The concept would fit an actual game really well. It's a shame mobile games are all movies ever get now. Maybe now that Spider-Man PS4 is supposed to be kicking off a Marvel Video Game Universe we'll get one in a couple years?

It's above average for a Marvel movie imo. Has some weird tonal shifts though, you can tell the higher ups wanted more quips and gags in the film than there really needed to be. Still, if you don't go in expecting film of the year then it's still fun.

Would it just be a beat em up/action with some portal/quantum break mechanics?

Magic is really hard to do properly in games, without making it just "press button to cast spell" etc.

Game's undergoing a massive overhaul over the next few months, it looks like they're going to drastically improve the loot and questionably alter the character building, kind of simplifying it a bit but also giving you more options whereas previously there was generally only one best build per character
