Also its worth noting that when Matt first came up with the idea of Two Best Friends Play, he pitched the idea to Woolie before Pat, even though he was an unseen force, Woolie was always involved in the behind the scenes workings of the channel.

For example: the iconic Silent Hill Shattered Memories house coloring joke was a staged portrayal of something that actually happened between Woolie and Matt, which was adapted for the video.

They only do machinima videos occassionally now. Their main income still comes from ads on their main channel supplemented by Machinima until 2025, IIRC.

Their website hasn't made them any money and Vessel is dead now too. That's why they switched to video podcasts and putting vods of streams behind a paywall on twitch.

Perhaps I am being a conspiracy theorist here, but I wouldn't be surprised if they decided to do this to make some more money. The removal of Vessel would've taken a big dent out of their income, made worse by the fact that they've just gotten a new office for themselves.

Apparently Vessel allowed them to justify the office according to their Reddit. They will be able to keep the office moving forward but it sounds like they were able to justify the move with Vessel money.

I figure (if they're as business savvy as I think they are) that they got the office and planned it such that if they got kicked in the balls they could continue having the place.

What I don't understand is why they would rent office at all (assuming Matt is still the sole owner and they're not incorporated). If I were Matt I would take out a mortgage on a loft/studio and move into it. It would give them sufficient space to have their video podcasts and round-tables and they wouldn't be burning their money on rent. I agree about the Vessel money being a justification. Sure they could've afforded it anyway, but if they didn't have that extra spare cash thanks to Vessel they probably wouldn't have felt confident enough to start renting an office. Being safe basically, instead of blowing all your spare cash on what is essentially a luxury. Them doing Machinima videos again is probably their plan to make up for the income they lost when Vessel ceased to be.
