How do I git gud at it?

Gotta go fast.

don't ADS
never stop moving, go fast always stay in motion

learn to not engage in conflict from a standing position, people are most used to that

if you're not running on a wall while shooting at your target, you fucked up

Assuming you're on console, use bumper jumper/evolved/get an elite controller so you can move/aim and jump/use abilities at the same time.

Learn how and when to use Titans. When in doubt, use Tone or Legion. Close quarters? Scorch is your friend. Northstar is wonderful but never, ever, trade blows; when the enemy closes drop snares and get out of there, make them chase you. Ronin is phenomenal, but always hit in run, like Northstar do not. trade. blows. Ion is bae if your team has a Titan advantage.

Keep moving. If you fire a shot realize that everyone around you now knows exactly where you are and are coming for your ass hole. Use the different movement options like crouching sliding double jumping and the grapple to your advantage.
Also don't be afraid to rodeo the fuck out of a Titan. And if you have a titan don't think you have to sit in it while you are being rodeoed or if you are low on health. Getting out and working with your titan by healing it with batteries can be just as effective if not more so than just staying in it.

It feels weird how utterly defenseless you are against getting rodeod most of the time

Its the one aspect of the game that really strongly enforces teamwork

What's the best ways to level up quickly? I've been spreading xp between weapons and titans.

why the need to level up quickly? you get enough cash to unlock whatever you please anyway, and I assume you know about happy hour

Take damage amplifying pilot shield and use on chokepoints with something like Hemlock or G2, just be fast: put your shield out, clear the screen from pilots, get out, that for head on assault. For more mobile flanking approach use carbine, G2 or hemlock, +invisibility +the thing that masks your jump kit. Stay mobile, flank a lot, invisibility is essential to get the first shots out, and TTK so low it doesn't matter after that. As for titan use Tone or Legion and be tactical and campy bitch as possibly you can be. There is no regen in this game so learn to peek less, don't peek without shield wall and survive first and foremost do damage second. And spam map hack, spam the fucking map hack it outlines the enemies trough wall for your whole team (you need invisibility to counter the enemy map hacks, so it's fucking mandatory if your not playing in pub stomp party of course then it doesn't matter what you use). Peace.

I fuckin hate that you can't customize Titan loadouts. What the fuck were they thinking.

Unless I'm being attacked by another titan or surrounded by the enemy I almost always get out and kill the guy on my Titan then bring the battery back. The Titan keeps fighting without you so I don't see any reason to not get out and heal it/kill people attacking it.

Interested in some of the regen titan skins

Use electric fog, then run away, you can usually see were fucker comes from when you know he after your battery.
Worst case scenario he will use electric nade on you and you panic.

>There is no regen in this game
Battery's heal your titan.

In hardpoints taking the amp off the enemies "home" point is often better than trying to contest the clusterfuck B objective. Make sure your home is amped.

In Last Titan Standing look at your team comp and fill in gaps, always try to keep a healthy amount of total HP. If you already have a Northstar and a Ronin, you don't need more squishy Titans, get a Tone or Legion for extra bulk and presence. For any Titan engagement in any mode, never let yourself get outnumbered. Always try to isolate people, poke around corners to shoot out abilities and stay safe. Don't use your core ability if you think the enemy might have a shield up, try to bait a shield then fuck them up once it goes down.

For all game modes, don't stick with one loadout the whole game. Switch things up depending on the map and how the game is going.

For any mode with AI, farm the shit out of them. In a titan you can just walk over whole squads of troops and easily kill the reapers that pop up around the last quarter of a match. One squad of troops is just 1 shy from being worth a pilot kill, and reapers are a pilot kill each.

opening up for future updates where they add different things to each titan, allowing an actual meta to develop right now so it's easier to add stuff.

USE STIM
USE CAR OR ALTERNATOR
RUN N GUN
GO FAST
SHOOT
GO FAST
SHOOT

Forgot to add: Titanfall is all about flanking, both pilot and titan combat you want get behind the enemy and fuck him up, get out while you still can and then rinse and repeat.

It's balance staff, and it's logical, you can't give huge minigun to fast maneuverable titan.

get to chokepoints and good positions from alternate routes
then camp, camp, camp cause everyone fucking camps in this game with how bad the maps are right now

That's a really really good tip.

Also, a tip of my own, the EVA is REALLY good, it's got a decent distance and requires less accurate aiming, so it's a great weapon to use while you're getting used to how fast everything is

Assuming he is playing by himself relying on battery is not an option. When he can of course he needs to pick it up but it provides small amount of additional HP, it's negligible. Ideally he needs to learn to completely avoid damage, keep it very minimal. Learn to maneuver, flank and engage enemy titans from position that can be used as good cover and from which he can initiate a safe retreat.

Grappling hook is more fun, but stim beats the shit out of it with your ability to WOOP WOOP WOOP out of situations which would otherwise kill you, like being caught out of position against an enemy titan

>mfw I go against all the advice in this thread and camp with cloak and double-take

>mfw someone thinks camping is viable and I come around the corner with Stim active pre firing an amped L-STAR

And for being just about as good at repositioning. If you can buttfuck the enemy, they can't buttfuck you.

Best Titan? I use Ronin a great deal, but I feel that he's weak. Legion is great, but the lack of dash really kills me.

Friend of mine made this video. I feel like Scorch is extremely effective.
youtube.com/watch?v=7fNq9f1sVn4

You know the perk that adds an extra dash gives legion a dash, right? You shouldn't ever get the enhanced AI boost btw, it's totally garbage

northstar is not the best at anything but i still main it, I love being able to peek out of corners and blow out half a health bar. but flight core is just so bad.

So which platform has the biggest playerbase?
Have an option to buy on either pc or ps4

>you can't give huge minigun to fast maneuverable titan.
And what he will do with it? In the first Titanfall people used Orges with chainguns for a reason: because it was OP to be able to cross-map melt people in a titan with huge hp pool, even if they coming at you there is enough time to melt them to death. Locking chaingun and 40mil to weak titan like stryder would have balanced that out. But respwn decided to make unchangeable titan loadouts based on popular no-fun camper builds form Titanfall 1. Balance? Logic? Jesus fucking Christ. You people are braindead.

All around useful is Tone. Effective against AI, solid weapon, useful at all ranges excluding melee range, gets 2 dashes with the titan perk for it, abilities let you shoot around corners and burst people, he has an effective shield and good health, and his core ability is great.

I can only speak for PC but my queue times are never too long, usually have to wait less than 30 seconds to get into a match, with around 8k active players in european week nights.

PS4 of course. Jesus, if it's not moba there's more players on console.

PC's population is large enough to make it a worthy platform. If you're like me and can't stand console controls for FPS, then buy it for PC. Population isn't an issue, for now at least.

You mean unable to learn and adapt? I bet user is better than that.

Tone and Legion are top tier, others are mid tier/top tier on certain maps. Tone and Legion are always safe picks

All gas no brakes.

Get a Scorch with Inferno Shield and the Turbo Engine and just face-fuck enemy Titans. It's the all gas no brakes option, incidentally.

>his

Is this game good or will it die like a month from now?

I'm crushing mad puss with the Softball and the EPG shits pretty insane and feels like playing quake/ut

dead in 2 weeks, 19$ for black friday

adapt to what? lowering the skill cap and play like a retard? if you enjoy that good for you

Take Stim, use the shoot while sprinting perk. If you have good ping, pick the phase run ability. Never stop moving. Learn to wall run. Learn the spawn patterns. Play as if it was a cover shooter while in your titan. That's it basically.

>Take Stim
Amen.

Don't use grapple, it's shit.

I miss Titan customisation and I miss the old dashes mixed in with some of the vertical map design that was prevalent in the TF1 DLC.

Titans feel way more clumsy than they used to.

Play it like Tribes.

Go fast
Use stim to go even faster

What is ADS?

But this game isn't fast
Do I play a faster game and then downgrade?

>Devotion
>Threat Scope
>Gun Ready
>Particle Shield
>play defensively using area denial tactics to block lanes and choke points
>shield amps your shots, Devotion is pinpoint accurate after a short spool

or

>Phase Shift
>EPG
>Gunrunner
>Speedloader
>play aggressively and use phase shift whenever someone looks at you funny
>get in close and land insta-gib shots

>Tone
>Turbo Engine
>Reinforced Wall
>shit on pilots with the 40mm tracker, dodge behind cover when you get Titan locks and play defensive
>always fire your rocket salvo up and over
>remember Sonar Lock will give you a crucial third tracking lock on a Tone who is hiding behind a shield

Mastiff+high capacity and sprint-shooting
MGL with high capacity and reload speed
I use firestar cause it's efficient to clean groups of mobs and highly efficient against titan if you know how to aim (the eyes, always aim for the eyes)
Stimpak and Amped Weapon
Just sprint around the battlefield never stopping, spray n' pray with the MGL, any shot with the mastiff is a 1 hit kill.

Aim down sights

>call my standard ronin titan with extra dash
>it's hard point and we have titan dominance
>ehh "engaging guard mode"
>hear one strike from my titan
>KILLED KILLED
Who needs enhanced auto titan AI when normal AI can double kill with one sword attack already.

I'm playing EPG on any map that lets me get away with it. Shit is so satisfying. Also one of the best weapons to blow up camping COD kiddy shits.
>tfw going maximum fast past a window, fireing one shot and getting a kill from a direct hit

>Tfw playing Grapple just because I think he looks the coolest

I play better if I think I look cool

I feel grapple is the easiest way to rodeo titans, am I bad? Sometimes I'll be speeding near one and jump on top, but other times the titan just disintegrates me.

>Cloak and double take
>Not using amped Wall so you can blow up titans too

In my experience grappling pulls you pretty slowly, so you'd have to be grappling to them from a place where they can't see you, and if they don't know you're there you might as well just jump on them the old-fashioned way

test

The campaign is so good in this game
what the fuck

>not thinking Stim looks the best with his little Oscar Pistorius legs

>rolling EMG
>bulls eyeing pilots as I run on walls
>murdering grunts and spectres the moment they drop
>gibbing one pilot as he jumps in on me, jumping, and gibbing a second that attempted to flank me.

How can bullets even compete?
