Also, it seems that the routes will be gated like in F/SN, you will have to go Nero -> Tamamo -> Altera with Altera route giving the true conclusion to the story.

Yeah, I've heard about that one. I was just wondering if there was something else I wasn't familiar with. Apparently there's a Japan limited release with a mousepad and costume DLC, but nothing I'm interested in.

I would've expected that all the routes were available from the beginning, with your choice of which to follow, but I guess that's fine. Hopefully you'll be able to play as whichever character you like on each route.

The japanese release is still Nov. 10th. The NA release has been set at January 10th.

It's a Musou-like. Unlike Senran/Valkyrie Drive, it looks like it has areas to capture and winning a stage involves taking over enough of them compared to the opponent. Also, it has events and enemy generals much like how the various Musou titles handle things.

Knowing how musou games just love to add DLC, I hope hope hope that we get Muscle Wizardess with Avengy. Even though she still has low chances there.

Although Marvelous tends to give missions and outfits in DLC packs along with characters, so hopefully it will be a bit more impressive than just single characters for $5 each.

Which team is the best and why is it Caster's?

There'll probably be some "True Route" where they all have to band together or something, or the 3 parties reach a common conclusion. Atila can't beat muh arthur nor can they be beaten in their own route, so they'd have to pull the hero or some bs.
Character DLC always takes a while, but it always comes. Costumes DLCs are easier to make than an entirely new character.
Hell, making a Fate musou is basically a call to arms for tons of input for new characters to put in.

That depends on if you consider the Fate series to have an interesting plot and characters. If so, this is likely to be about as strange and silly. If not... this is likely to be about as strange and silly.

I guess we'll be waiting a bit to find out either way, from people who've played the Japanese version.

All the informations we got about Altera are interseting and made me want to play the game even more.

That would be one hell of a stretch, but it would be cool if it happened. I'm guessing it'll be the more popular GO characters that make it in as DLC.

With all the wank she got Saber is now an absolute top tier Servant. Cu is really good too but not on that level.

If that's the case then Jeanne Alter, Scathach and Shuten Doji would be added. Not that I mind, I kinda like them.

Lancers stats without a gimped master is equal/better to saber.

And gae bolg is way better than excalibur in their match up cause lancer's not gonna get hit by that slowass shit

The only time saber's durability/brute strength pays off would be against herc and maybe gilgamesh.

Fate/Stay Night is where the series started. It's a (porn) visual novel that was turned into a (not porn) anime and manga, of the same name.

Fate/Hollow Ataraxia is the direct sequel to Fate/Stay Night.

Fate/Zero is a prequel to Fate/Stay Night.

Fate/Kaleid liner Prisma Illya is a spinoff series where one of the characters (Illya) is a magical girl instead. Most people just know about it from the kissing webms as opposed to anything about the story.

Fate/Extra is a side story or alternate story, with a lot of characters who look similar but are, at least technically different. It takes place in a somewhat different setting, although with the same general concept as Fate/Stay Night.

Fate/Grand Order is a mobile phone mobage which uses a bunch of characters from most of the franchise.

Fate/Extella, the new game, is sort of a sequel to Fate/Extra but with a bunch of characters from Grand Order showing up.

Most of the rest tend to be one-off movies or fighting games.

You just need to know that there is this girl named Saber and she likes to shout "EXCALIBUR!!!" at people and grails.

There's also Tsukihime, VN mainly about vampires and the Church, and Kara no Kyoukai, light novel adapted into movies about mages and cutting shit up, unrelated but in the same setting as Stay Night.
Also Carnival Phantasm, a comedy anime with characters from Fate and Tsukihime.

I counted Fate/Extra and Fate/Extra CCC to be the same thing. I'm not 100% what aspects of which are canon or not in regards to Fate/Extella.
