Owlboy

Is this the greatest game of our generation?

Unless the story is really good, probably not since it's a 2D platformer.

No

Looks like shit tbqh. And this is coming from someone who loved Undertale.

it's my game of the year. but my game of our generation is half life

is the porn any good?

Fuck off shill

>best hi-bit art to come out in years

>looks like shit

lol okay

>hi-bit
Don't you just mean pixel art?

Wow, after 10 years, did the Starbucks-based game dev studio finally stop waxing their ironic mustaches long enough to finish this game?

I hear it's too easy for it's own good.

Like Ori it's eerily lovable and gorgeous looking, but without a good challenge it basically feels like an artist's portfolio piece

Not literally, you fucking moron. It looks like shit as a game, with actual gameplay. Go back to your tumblr shit, queer. Might as well off yourself while you're at it.

It's not even the greatest game this year. Not even the greatest INDIE game this year.

That title belongs to Wuppo and Endica :^)

No. The art looks amazing but, it has a lot of poorly designed shit like pic related. It's initially hype, but then you realize it's almost impossible to play because of how fast it is, and how it's vague about what does and doesn't hurt you. Not to mention the rotating camera.

The final boss was also fucking boring. Most of the actual gameplay is lackluster except a few parts like escaping from the burning ship. The cutscenes, art, and music are the best parts of the game.

It's the most game-mechanics-free game I've played all year.
>tutorial has Otus run out of energy while flying
>this isn't part of the actual game
>first dungeon has you putting your partner guy on switches and you've got to keep track of him
>then you get an item that instantly warps him to you at any time at the end of the dungeon
>new partners are just guns and have no effect on your mobility at all, even if the second one is a huge robot pirate fella
>platforming only happens when you can't use your wings, otherwise you can just flap around everywhere without any restrictions

The visuals are lovely, except when they decide to zoom out for some absolutely stupid reason, and the music is nice, but it's piss-easy and everything I've heard tells me that one hundred percenting it is a waste of time and effort.

>>new partners are just guns and have no effect on your mobility at all, even if the second one is a huge robot pirate fella
The third one does though.

LOL GOT HIM LMAO AHAHAHA

Does he?
I've really, really been hard-pressed to start playing it again, I'll go for maybe a half-hour and get kinda bored.
I suppose if I'm gonna keep complaining about it I really should finish it.

If you care about the story/cutscenes then I'd say it's worth it. But the gameplay doesn't get any better.

The story's leaving me pretty cold. Every single beat results in Otus and company accomplishing absolutely nothing so far, and him getting chewed out by whoever told him what to do.
I haven't played something that seems to HATE its protagonist this much in a while.

>Go back to your tumblr shit, queer.

no because that is not a picture of Undertale

It picks up before the last area. It got me pretty emotional. I thought most of the things you're thinking now. But I'm not a good judge of story, so take it with a grain of salt.

The game goes extremely fast if you're not into the collect-a-thon coins. By the time you get the 3rd partner you're pretty much done. The coin collecting is fucking dumb though since some of are hidden without real hints.

Pretty much nails it. It's good look at, it has a lot of charm, and music is great (but not always), however any gameplay is just too shallow and ends up not delivering much beyond some okay set pieces. Good for one play through, get it when it's around 7-8 bucks. Ori beats Owlboy in pretty much every way.

i absolutely loved it, just finished it last night had left me with some feels, i just wish it was longer
