considering online games have to function the exact same on both systems, why would I?

I don't play single player games that often because most of them are either indie shit that wouldn't benefit from 4k in the first place, or are AAA nonsense that all blends together in it's offensively inoffensive homogenous gruel.

If I get PSVR at some point i'll definitely get a pro though.

The most you're gonna hear about in a week is the jet engine fans (understandable), and the heat (not as acceptable or understandable). I wouldn't go so far as to say it'll overheat in normal play, but it's absolutely possible that in harder to run games it might. I mean, it has severe heating issues on metro 2033 for me, as well as rocket league, and neither of those games have pro patches.

That's what I meant, if those issues get worse or new ones appear, like for example the first batch of original ps4s that had the HDMI port issue making it unusable. I might as well wait longer until the new batch comes out

Ah. Well, I know lots of people with older 4k TVs are complaining because they're not HDCP 2.2 compliant, so you might hear about that being mistaken for an HDMI port fuckup of some sort, people are already saying "ps4 pro doesn't support 4k it won't run in 4k mode on my 5 year old 4k tv!"

i'd recommend waiting anyway. There'll probably be a new revision around march for the release of the switch with a better fan.

I upgraded my ancient GPU to a "top of the line" model.
I still play the same old shitty games I did with my ancient GPU.

I'll probably pull the trigger in December when FFXV pro patch arrives, I might as well play Pokemon while I'm waiting

I dont have a ps4 yet but why would I get a PS4 Pro? All the games still run like shit at 30fps
