GOG sale wont update anymore, I was thinking about buying Underrail and Chaos Reborn.
Is there anything good under 15$ that you guys could recommend?
Here is my gamelist, if that helps.
Thanks for replies!

underrail is p good if you like stuff like fallout 1
I actually did, enjoyed both first Fallouts.
its difficult though so it takes time to get used to
Less cool, but I could get used to it.
Guacamelee is well worth $3 if you're in the mood for a metroidvania with fun combat and challenging platforming puzzles.
Also I agree with the other user on Underrail. Check it out if you like exploration of the "holy fuck I'm lost how did I end up here I'm going to die" variety.
Get Baldurs Gate 1 and 2 EE
user should have said it was combat and gameplay heavy. Both FOs were pretty big on skill checks and reactivity, but Underrail is more of a combat and exploration game.
I have normal BG2, was never fan of it, tho.
But in general there are no "best builds" that can clear the game, with everyone else being too weak for that?
arcanum/system shock 2/BG 2 EE
Some builds are generally more effective than others, but that's to be expected from any game that gives you as much freedom as it does. You have a lot of options for unique characters. That being said, you're going to struggle with a non-combat build unless you invest MAJORLY in stealth.
is there any reason why should you get games on gog outside of sales?
Planescape: Torment or kys
There absolutely are builds superior to the others, but by applying some common sense you should be fine. The only thing this game really punishes is jack of all trades. As long as you specialize around a combat skill, pick your attributes and feats accordingly, you don't have to worry.
I have everything I need, why buy more games?
Can I make shy PSI orientated girl, with additional skills in stealth and pickpockets, plus some speech? Or covers too many skills?
Eh, I do have Arcanum and System Shock 2, as you can see.
But there is sale right now, what are ou talking about?
Couldnt find that kys game. There is Kyn, but goes for 20$.
Everything is DRM-free, which is nice. It started out as a store that specialized in buying licenses to sell old PC games, bundling them with anything they needed to run on modern PCs as well as high-quality PDFs of manuals and everything else that came in the original package, and releasing them for a reasonable price, so it's still one of the best places to buy old games. And GoG releases are the best way to download old games whether you plan on paying for them or not, for all of the same reasons.
>Can I make shy PSI orientated girl, with additional skills in stealth and pickpockets, plus some speech? Or covers too many skills?
That's a perfectly valid build. You will get enough skill points to max 8 skills on level up, but you'll be able to play with that number a bit once you'll be more familiar with the game.
Okay, one more question, what should I remember, when distributing stats? Can I max like two at 10 and leave rest very low, or I should balance? For example, with that PSI character?
Jesus, just fucking play the game. What kind of faggot starts min-maxing before he's even downloaded the game?
Currently playing, looking for that dumbass newton, I think he must have adhd.
The former. Max your WILL, and since you want to stealth feel free to lower your CON and STR to the minimum. Other than that you should probably sacrifice PER, and raise your AGI a bit.
INT and DEX are up to you, personally I'd favor INT though for hacking and crafting skills.
You will also receive an additional attribute point every 4 levels (6 in total). If you want you can use those later to raise on of your secondary attributes, or just pump it all into WILL for more damage.
Okay, thanks.
I have min-max fetish, sorry.
>I have min-max fetish, sorry.
You are going to love this, then. Check underrail dot info dot tm.
success?
>he gives money to slavs for games he doesn't really own
You could say this about all the games.
If anything gog at least let you keep a copy...it's more than what a lot of companies do this day
I rather give money to based polish slavs than to murican jews
Get Underrail, it's probably the best cRPG out of the whole recent "RPG renaissance".
It's a lot like Fallout 1/2 but not an exact copy of them. Great exploration, combat, lore, story and writing are servicable.
Also the creator is a cool guy.
>he gives money to a fat guy for gameswith DRM he doesn't really own
how many hours can you pump into this game
is it longer than f1/f2?
>feel free to lower your CON to the minimum
That's asking for trouble. Psi builds already get 25% health penalty, with 3 CON you end up with so little health you have pretty much no margin of error at all. Add the fact that it's his 1st run and he will probably have to savescum like crazy.
I would go with 5 at least.
>how many hours can you pump into this game
Probably around 80 hours if you explore and do everything there is to do, maybe 70.
>is it longer than f1/f2?
Yes.
And by 70-80 hours I mean one playthrough, it has a lot of replay value since you can make a lot of different builds.
jesus, now that's a dude that's worth spending the money on for his game at full price. fucking based.
Is Chaos Reborn good in singleplayer anyway?
is bastadd bonds good ?
It's only $15, too.
Actually it used to be $8 since alpha but a lot of people told the creator that the game is so much bigger since the beggining that $8 is a steal and it should cost more.
I have a question for people playing underrail. I couldnt sneak through the protectorate warehouse and i had to kill them all. How bad did i fuck up?
It won't have any consequences.
Except that every protectorate seem to want my ass now
>How bad did i fuck up?
Well, you won't be able to join Protectorate and all of them will shoot you on sight.
You can still join Free Drones though, you iwll be killing Protectorate during their questline anyway so it's no bog deal.
I killed the whole warehouse as well. Haven't run into any consequences, I even got offered a job by the protectorate ambassador after the Rail Crossing thing.
Just replayed it to test. Killed everyone, no consequences whatsoever.
You attacked the two guards at the door, right? That would explain the problem. You are not supposed to touch those two, you can't get away with assaulting someone in the middle of the city in broad daylight.
I went through the sewer...i came back from from the crawler infested place and i didnt see the shields behind door nr 2. With fucking -42 stealth. So i said fuck it and started enraging and killing all of them. Im the kind of retard who goes unarmed with psi without putting points in stealth
Yeah, but as I said you can kill everyone inside and no one will know. The only thing that would cause problems is if after grabbing the shields you left through the main door instead of going through the sewers again.
It doesnt matter where you go from there. After attacking the protectorate all of them become hostile. I came out from the dock shack and they still attacked me...its not such a big deal since the core city guards dont seem to get involved.
There's an expansion coming up, wait for them to complete the game before paying for it.
Do we know the price of the expansion?
I'm standing right next to the two guards in front of the Warehouse. Everyone inside is dead, yet those two are still grey.
Nope. Knowing Styg it will be $5, $6 at most. But nothing official yet.
I dont know what happened...thanks for the info anyway
No.
But my guess would be $8, maybe more, definetly less than $15.
Celtic Kings is genuinely an amazing game.
Its regimented battles are so big it reminds me of Total War games. Also, levelling up heroes and units alike is fun.
>Fallout classic
>Arcanum
>System Shock 2
>Neverwinter Nights
Your gamelist has the answer.
>Underrail is inspired by western RPG classics such as Fallout, Arcanum, Neverwinter Nights and System Shock 2.
I'm gonna shill Evil Islands because I just discovered that. It's not on sale but it's still dirt cheap, or you can wishlist it and wait for when it's even cheaper.
This game is what Commandos would be if it was an RPG, with Gothic style world design - you can go anywhere but you're gonna get your shit pushed in if you venture where you're not supposed to. Each map is basically a puzzle you have to unravel one enemy at a time, sneaking past those you can't tackle yet.
Also awesome crafting system and hilarious voice acting.
>"This is boring!" exclaimed the hero while oneshotting a weak enemy
It's from the guys that made Silent Storm but I haven't played that yet so I can't compare.
>buying anything on gog when you can pirate for free
The Interplay games are very cheap. Many of them are 60 cents each when you if you buy a bunch of them at once.
I actually have Evil Islands on CD, beaten the game three times already.
Good forgotten title, seriously.
